ikea.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives ikea.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 89.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 89.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to ikea.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning ikea.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between ikea.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of ikea.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of ikea.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. ikea.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether ikea.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether ikea.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, ikea.com.

“Not Assembled for Success”

IKEA's delivery service is a complete mess. My order arrived missing half of the items, and the ones that did show up were damaged beyond repair. Trying to get a refund or replacement was like navigating a maze with no exit. IKEA needs to overhaul its delivery processes if it wants to retain customers.

“IKEA is my favorite furniture store for its affordable prices”

IKEA is my favorite furniture store for its affordable prices, modern designs, and convenient shopping experience. The showroom layouts are inspiring and make it easy to visualize how pieces will look in my home. I appreciate the flat-pack packaging, which makes transportation and assembly a breeze. The variety of styles and options available ensure that there's something for every taste and budget

“Nice”

IKEA is my go-to destination for affordable furniture and home decor. Their products are stylish, functional, and easy to assemble. I appreciate the variety of design styles available, allowing me to find pieces that suit my taste and budget. While navigating the maze-like layout of IKEA stores can be overwhelming at times, the prices and selection make it worth the trip.

“£40 delivery charge and received 2 damaged items”

IKEA charged me £40 for delivery, made me wait a week and sent everything loose. 2 items arrived damaged. They would not let me report this automatically online and I had to start a customer service chat. Redelivery will be another week, putting my project back and costing me more money. Avoid this company at all costs. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Ok”

IKEA is more than just a furniture store—it's a destination for home inspiration. I love browsing through the showroom setups and imagining how I can recreate them in my own space. The affordable prices and modern designs make IKEA furniture a great option for anyone looking to refresh their home decor. Plus, the Swedish meatballs in the cafeteria are a must-try

“Appalling delivery and customer service”

None of the promised advance contact for delivery of online order. Phoning them made no difference as identified time slot not met and when checked tracking it baldly stated "not delivered". Paid £25 to waste entire day for 2 people, no idea when to expect delivery now, phonelines jammed, and they really don't seem to care.

“The worst consumer experience I have ever had!”

Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. The worst consumer experience I have ever had in my life. They force to wander in their stores like mice, the customer has to do all the work (even passing the items at the register). The furniture (extremely heavy) was simply dumped in our house, with items missing and they declined any responsibility (which goes against consumer laws). Tip for consumers:What a mess of a company! Avoid at all costs! Products used:Cabinets Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Absolute worst experience I've ever had”

I purchased $3000 worth of furniture August 8th, 2023. Everything went smoothly with the delivery but I needed these large items assembled. I spent 2 weeks going back and forth between this third party task rabbit and IKEA only to be told in the end, they could not book a task. So I'm now having to take all this furniture bavk. At one point, I was asked by a taster at tas rabbit for extra money on the side. A supervisor was never available for either service. I used to be a loyal IKEA customer. I will never buy again. Products used:Nothing, I could not get the assembly done. Service

“Find some other place to shop”

The company does not understand what customer service is at all. Folks over there are doing the minimal work they can when answering phones or on the chat and passing customer to someone else. The delivery service is a joke. Their delivery is a guess game on when it will arrive and if it will arrive. IKEA takes no responsibility for delivery or schedule. They pass you to their delivery partner who, in turn, passes you back to IKEA. I waited once 4 hours on already scheduled delivery and no one showed up. Then, after spending 6 hours on the phone between IKEA and their delivery partner, I was rescheduled for next day; just to find out that the delivery partner rescheduled me for week later, without letting me know. I was long time customer but now, I am done! Never again! Products used:Furniture, kitchen storage Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Nightmare with Business Class Purchasing”

Nightmare with their IKEA for business sector. Sent wrong products 4x in a row for my office cabinets. Their financial team never verified the return process and posted to a canceled account without authorization, then never followed up with me directly with mail, etc. after multiple attempts to post the return. I'm an extremely patient person with customer service having experience on an IT helpdesk phone system, but quickly found their customer service is challenging to work with. I got transferred three times only to wait on hold for 2 hours. Reached the original person who transferred me improperly and was patient only asking for a manager, but was rejected. Finally forced my hand and manager is an intermediary at least, but no communication with the source has caused more confusion on the issue. Tip for consumers:Nightmare with their IKEA for business sector. Sent wrong products 4x in a row for my office cabinets. “If I can I will give no rating”

Ikea gives assembly service, I brought furniture and they assigned me assembly service over phone. The assembly service team came and said u want Sofa covers to be changed, give me extra money because we are here for assembly not not dissamble the sofa and remove old covets. Tip for consumers:Very bad customer service, they provide no compensation to customers Products used:None, I brought 2000 dollar furniture sitting in my home. I brought furniture because there is assembly service and they faxed it. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Bad quality”

The table legs have rusted in six months. IKEA refused to change it under warranty. It turns out that the warranty does not apply to this table. https://www.ikea.com/ae/en/p/torsby-table-chrome-plated-high-gloss-white-s*******/ Tip for consumers:The table legs have rusted in six months. “Online orders IKEA”

IKEA.com is a joke. I've been waiting 3 weeks so far, for a duvet and sheet set. The status has never changed from received order. I contact customer no-service, completely useless.they actually lie to you and say it will be there tomorrow. Never again. Tip for consumers:Don’t order online Products used:Nothing yet Service Value Shipping Quality

“Don't give Ikea your card details”

Not only have Ikea failed to deliver my item when promised, I have strong suspicions that one of their staff has used my card details fraudulently. I eventually managed to get hold of someone in customer service, who has informed me that they won't do anything about it. Please, don't give them your card details over the phone. I felt safe because it's a big, well-known company, but they honestly don't care. Service Shipping Returns

“What a sad disappointment!”

Ordered a kitchen, including delivery and installation. Immediate payment was required. Installation was done improperly. Had tried for two months to reach customer service via email, SMS, and whatsapp. Besides informing me that they are busy and that someone will try to reach out to me, nothing happened. I wonder if the company has a policy that results in customers giving up on service. This is what happened to me. My only suggestion for anyone seeking a new kitchen is to use other companies. Tip for consumers:all I can say is that if you consider complete remodeling of your kitchen use another company with good customer service. I am afraid that Ikea's policy of insisting on full payment long before delivery and installation does not inspire confidence in this company or in its services. Products used:complete kitchen including cabinets, appliances, sink, faucet, countertop-- of course delivery is never free with Ikea Service Value Shipping Quality

“The quintessence of Swedish philosophy”

I love the Swedish design and Swedish "lagom" lifestyle. It means moderation in everything in life. That's what IKEA brought into their design and furniture. There is nothing too exhaustive, all the items are sleek and minimalistic. I love it!

“Affordable”

People say that this company is high priced but it's not, you just have to know how t shop. I bought a nice living room couch, beds, linens, things for my kitchen, and a ton of different designs. I like them a lot.

“You get what you pay for...”

Yes, you get what you pay for... Now, that doesn't really tell you much at all, does it? O. K. Then... here goes. IKEA has so much "stuff" and to be candid, I really like most of the things they sell. From a price point perspective, with regard to furniture, it's in the "low to mid range" part of the cost scale. However, more importantly, they always provide a great value for their products. They are certainly worth "checking out". Go see... then write your own review!

“Hate it.”

Only go there when I want 1000 tea lights for next to nothing. Then I take my search dog with me because I won't be coming out anytime soon. They should offer lemonade stands throughout that awful store. I'm surprised no one has died from a stroke or heart attack while trying to get out! They have done that on purpose but it really has come back to bite them in the butt. I won't go there anymore!

“Ikea is great for furnishing your home or office, but...”

Ikea is great for furnishing your home or office, but I find the site really difficult to navigate. For some reason it doesn't seem intuitive and usually I just end up going to my local store after the frustration with dealing with them online.

“Ordered two chest of drawers”

Ordered two chest of drawers. Charged my account but never heard a word from them. Called and found out the order was cancelled cause the items were not available. I order quite a bit online and normally not charged until the item is processed for delivery. Why did IKEA charge my credit card for items that are not available? Now have to wait and see if I will receive a refund.

“Ikea has some decent stuff”

Ikea has some decent stuff. I have found some attractive furniture items that were reasonably priced. The only problem I have had is trying to call customer service if I am having problems assembling the furniture. They were completely incapable of helping. Luckily, through trial and error, I figured it out on my own. It would be good if they logged common problems assembling certain pieces so that their customer service is better equipped to help.

“Ikea isn't the best furniture but it works!”

Ikea isn't the best furniture but it works! Generally looks pretty good. If you order online shipping is a bit expensive but it comes as promised. Quality is variable. Doesn't last forever and it can be hard to assemble, but it's Ikea!

“Shipping is a major pain”

I've ordered twice now from Ikea. Because it's so far from me online ordering is easier. 1st order. Items arrived damaged. Both sets of drawers. They were cheap. Not worth sending back. 2nd order. I paid for pick up in the store. A friend picked them up for me without checking the boxes. One box had forklift damage on the side. Actually poked a hole right through one of the drawers. Resulted in a second trip to Ikea. Shipment fees in Edmonton are ridiculous as are installation fees. You pay $100 for a cabinet but then $200 for delivery on a specific date and installation. Products are not worth this. It's only worth if you go in person with a couple of people to help you pick up items and install yourself.

“Dysfunctional”

Ikea's online ordering process creates problems. In my case, I ordered a bookcase. I had to complete sale before I could learn when the delivery date was. When their delivery date didn't work for me, I followed links to reschedule. For some reason, no matter how quickly I type and click, the Rescheduler keeps saying Session Timed Out. How can it time out after 12-13 seconds? The web process is dysfunctional and creates problems which you then have to spend time trying to solve. Service Value Quality

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
