Minimal Doubts. Controversial.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 50.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to idropnews.com's industry. The algorithm detected possible high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Questionable. Minimal Doubts. Controversial. tags above. Long story short, we recommend using caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning idropnews.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between idropnews.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of idropnews.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of idropnews.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. idropnews.com is a dubious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether idropnews.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether idropnews.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, idropnews.com.

- Score: 1.9 stars
“Digital goods arrive instantly. Physical goods take 2-3 weeks.”
Been a subscriber for last 5 years and have ordered from them many times. Just and FYI, the store is managed by a third party and shipping can take time, depending what you order. Digital goods such as the VPN I purchased was instantaneous. Not so much with the iPhone cables. I contacted the support and was told that they were back ordered. It took 3 weeks to get them! Most other orders such as the iPad pen took 15 days. See the proof attached.
“Solid site with a ton of resources”
I am not sure why people are so negative here. I have bought from them multiple times and no problems. The shipping takes significantly longer than Amazon but you have an early warning before you buy. I'd recommend them!
“Terrible Company - No Customer Service”
Let me guess. Another Chinese company doing business unethically. No returns even though the products are $#*!. Customer service is non-existent. Products are defective, don't work as advertised and are certainly not discounted the way the company claims. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. If you order, you will most definitely regret it. Tip for consumers:Do not use them. They are terrible and don’t allow refunds. Products are defective, not as advertised and service is nonexistent. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Don't give them your money!”
The "news" site is generally worthless and it (and their emails) push the JUNK they sell at the drop store. I was sucked in and when I tried to return the junk, only received 1/2 of the owed refund amount. They sent a reply saying "their vendor" shows a full refund and wouldn't budge. Their systems are truly not to be trusted with your info / money. Very shady I recommend avoiding.
“Bogus customer service”
Sent two emails to customer service requesting clarification on their return policy, which is zero since all sales are final. Besides possibly the only online company with a no return policy, received not a single response from customer service.
“Air buds are GARBAGE”
I ordered a pair of air-buds because I thought that I would be able to return them, should they not work. The volume can not be turned up so you can hardly hear the call. I called and requested to send them back for a refund. Instead I was sent another pair. So instead of having on set of trash air buds, I now have two. Think before you shop from this store.
“Tried to buy Microsoft Office”
It seemed like a good deal: $50 for a lifetime license on one device. However the license key seemed to work in that I could download the program to my Mac, but could never actually activate it. Numerous contacts with the Idrop people (they are responsive) did not yield a result. Total Pain. Just pay the Microsoft extortion and suck it up from the real company. Tip for consumers:Skip Idrop, If the deal is too good to be true, it isn't true. Service Value Quality
“They ignore refund requests after purchased items returned!”
For 6 weeks have been contacting this company for refund on returned purchases. They do not acknowledge the contacts, nor do they care how much money the customer has invested and has lost. Meanwhile, this company is promoting itself like a successful one.
“They sell your information on to scammers”
They sell your email address to scammers. I receive on average 20 emails every day from scammers because of them. Every one has a different email address. I reported them to GDPR and they contacted them but they still keep doing it. The emails either tell me I've won a phone or tablet or they are from Bitcoin sellers. All just want your bank details. It goes on day after day relentlessly. I block every one but the next day there's a fresh batch. I didn't buy anything from them, I simply signed up to get news about Apple products. All GDPR do is write to them and tell them to stop. They told me that because they've done that the case is closed. That's it!. All that fuss about everybody changing the way they work in order to comply with the new laws and if you don't comply you just get a email telling you off. I wish I'd have known that before I spent a fortune changing my company website. Tip for consumers:Don’t use this, it’s a scam Service
“Good Reputable Company”
I have purchased several products from iDrop News Vendors and have had very good experiences with one exception. The most recent item did not work properly and after contacting customer service and giving all of the information requested I will be receiving a full refund. This type of standing behind products advertised by vendors is commendable. I plan on continued good relations with iDrop News. Happy customer.
“Great Customer Service”
I had ordered an item from iDrop. Item cam very timely but did not arrive as described. Reached out to customer service, who contacted the vendor. Order could not be filled as described and issued me a full refund. Have ordered from them before, successfully, in the past and will order again!
“No redemption code ever provided”
I bought ThunderDrive Pro on Nov. 29,2019 and all the messages I ever receive from IDropNews are " we are currently acquiring your license for this product." When you go on their website to submit a request, there is no submit button so there is not possibility to contact them. They do not have phone support or an e-mail. I'm very dissapointed and would not recommend them to anyone. I have lost over $40.
“Worst site to order anything that is being advertised”
This site is a scamming site, advertising the crappy products without any support or refund after purchase. They should not be allowed to do any business online furthermore advertising Apple products. Stay away and don't buy anything from this site.
“Blue face masks”
Worse masks on the market, first one came in improperly sewn, they replaced it and the second one came in with even worse sewing, one half of one of the velcro pads was not sown. Too small a mask for adults.
“10-Ft MFi-Certified Lightning Cable: 3-Pack”
I ordered the 3-pack cable from Idrop store. All the cables went bad within 4 weeks from the day I received it. When I contacted Idrop to complain and asked for replacement, first they said that the warranty was only 2 weeks. When I insisted that these cables were defected, they said that it is from a third party and they are not responsible. A third party that can not be reached go figure. I do not recommend ordering the 3-Pack 10-ft cable from this side. Furthermore, because of the we don't care attitude in their reply email, I don't recommend ordering any item from this side. Now I buy my cables from Amazon very reliable and they always have good customer service.
“Poor quality and damaged goods”
I ordered wireless ear buds that will not properly charge. Since they apparently have a no refund policy it looks like I'm stuck with a low quality product that doesn't work. No phone numbers to call either. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
“Defective Products”
This company is selling defective Mac look like products and saying the quality is comparable to Mac products. Once you buy the product they say no refunds and no returns. I reported them to the BBB. BEWARE! Look carefully at the reviews, they have 12 one star ratings and 5 five star ratings. The five star ratings are probably self endorsed because they should have some ratings between one and five stars.
“No way to get customer service”
Purchased an item from them over a month ago. Still not mailed and no way to contact anyone. They say the item has been prepared for mailing, but never shipped.
“DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM iDrop store, They are nothing but a rip off outfit”
I brought 2 Sound Sense Bluetooth Earphones + Portable Charging Box. They are inferiors and do not work. It paired with my iphone the first time, afterwards it could not pair with my iphon anymore. They do not have a number to call. Only way to contact them about technical support and customer services is to send them a inquiry on their site. However, my inquires are not replied at all. Besides, their products are not cheap but got low quality. The bottom is DO NOT EVER PURCHSE ANYTHING FROM THEM. Amazon is much better. Tip for consumers:DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Amazon is much better Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“IDrop News IS A SCAM SITE - DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE THIEVES!”
Make darn sure you are protected either by your credit card or Paypal. They cannot be legit, as they never ship any item you buy and claim there is no recourse! They must be put out of business!
“1 of 4 products faulty”
Sent them a message as required they responded until I sent them all the proof they asked for and then nothing. Been weeks. Horrible experience. Cheap product in quality. Horrible customer service
“This is a scam compney”
Scam company when you buy anything from them and you don't like the will not take it back So check in eBay first you will find the item that you looking for a way cheaper
“Scam artists!”
I wanted an Apple Watch charger and on their site was one that interested. Problem was they pics showed two different chargers. I emailed asking which one I would get. I received a picture back of the higher quality one which was also the one that I wanted. I ordered it but I received the inferior version. I wanted a refund even though refunds were not offered because I didn't receive what I was promised. Approximately 40 emails later they checked with their "selling partner" and I was offered a refund minus $10.17 I assume for return shipping. I pointed out to them that I was a customer of iDrop News and not their partner and I should receive a refund from them and they can take up the dispute with their partner. I have received no response to that. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. Stay away from this company. A perfect bait & switch/scam company if there ever was one. The two photos show them confirming the item I received is the same one I was promised. Make up your own mind. Tip for consumers:Stay away from this company at all cost. If you buy from them then buyer beware. You will be disappointed and drive yourself crazy trying to get satisfaction. I did!!! Products used:I ended up with an inferior in every way Apple Watch charger to the one I thought I was getting. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“STAY AWAY, A SCAM SITE, THEY STOLE MY CREDIT CARD”
STAY AWAY, I HAVE ORDERED FROM THIS COMPANY ONE TIME WITH NO ISSUES BUT THEY JUST STOLE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER WITHOUT MY AUTHORZATION AND CHARGED ME OVER $500 AND SENT ME 2 IPADS THAT ARE JUNK FOR SOMETHING THAT I DIDN'T ORDER. I'M GUESSING THEY HELD ON TO MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. I DON'T REMEMBER BEING ON THEIR WEB SITE IN THE LAST YEAR. THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER ON THE SITE TO CALL AND SPEAK WITH ANYONE. BY E-MAIL, I TOLD THEM I DID NOT ORDER THIS BUT THEY SAY THERE WAS NO WAY TO GET A REFUND AND WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANY CONTACT INFORMATION. I ATTEMPTED TO GET A VENDOR NAME AND NUMBER BUT THE COMPANY IS NOT RESPONDING OTHER THAN THAT ONE TIME TO SAY THERE WAS NO WAY TO GET A REFUND. I SURE WOULD BE GLAD TO RETRACT MY BAD REVIEW IF THEY WOULD CONTACT ME AND MAKE THIS RIGHT BUT I AM NOT HOLDING MY BREATH. I NOT SURE HOW SOME PEOPLE THAT ARE WRITING THESE REVIEWS ARE FINDING CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN IT DOESN'T EXIST. THEY GOT TO BE CROOKS RUNNING THIS SITE.
“Not a good place to buy and do business”
IDrop News is terrible in customer service and their Website ads are false. I bought two items at different times. First item is the OXITEMP smartwatch. Battery gone bad and replacement different model and a lot cheaper. No refund. Second item, ad says original Apple Lightning USB cables. When received, they are NOT Apple. Came in plastic with sticky label FOXCONN F0V9453DCE0G8H3AN. Looked it up and they are after market and sells a lot cheaper. I bought 2 for $19.99 plus tax and shipping = $24.18. I bought them because of the $10 credit from iDropnews from the agrevation/frustration and waste of time from the OXITEMP smartwatch. I will not buy anything from them anymore. IDropNews store is the Webstie advertiser for small stores/resellers who sells stuff that are cheap and hike up the prices. Some items such as the OXITEMP smartwatch is not refundable and sales final. Beware of buying items/services from iDropNews..

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
