Is icarsoft.com Legit?

There is 0 customer support, I bought the icarsoft pro+ 6 months ago and it has an error code and will not read anything. Tried to fix it on there website with no luck. 2 months, 15 emails and 60 phone calls and no response. Never buy this product, should be sold on wish.com

Bought myself a CR Max, reasons for buying are its capabilities it's price and the no subscription based updates. The reader is built extremely well built and very hardy. I found it read my BMW 335d absolutely fine but i had an issue with it not being able to code my Mercedes 113 vito injectors. But after creating a data log and emailing icarsoft support, an update patch was made within days and the issue fixed. I never had to wait long for a response to my emails. The tool and its support or what most companies should be like. Would happily recommend to others.

The icarsoft diagnostic device is the best thing for finding , clearing and resetting faults on most vehicles. The price of the unit isn't far off what alot of workshops would charge just to plug their equipment in and you are able to use it over and over again. I was able to detect a fault, clear it and do a full system check . A very easy system to plug in and use, nothing complicated

There is no customer/product support. It does not exist, they won't even reply to emails. The diagnostic tool doesn't even do half the things it is supposed to do! It's a scam! A huge scam! I don't understand how they are allowed to sell their products in this country!

I purchased a Multi-system Car Diagnostic tool VOL V3.0.Tried it on my 2022 Volvo S60. Nothing Volvo specific that required an actuation failed. e.g. put rear brake into service position.Contacted support by email who requested a feed back log which I did, no acknowledgement even thought I requested one. In desperation I sent another log with a delivery and read request. Nothing.

Just will not reply to emails, 3 sent in 10 days including support@ and sales@. All have been ignored. I have what appears to be a brand new but faulty CR Max supplied directly by Amazon EU, so not some shady seller. Forget the paid for reviews on the internet, choose another brand with decent support. Edit: contact was made miraculously after I left the review. The C's rep according to grammar and time to respond to emails appeared to be in China and not the USA as claimed. Sent LOTS of screenshots and logs and still could not suggest why my top of the range scanner could not produce standard OBD2 fault codes. As soon as my questions got difficult, I was ghosted- literally.

The HNM II I bought needs updates, Subaru is only upto 2015 and all the rest are years out of date. The rubber/plasic used for the cable sheath and SD card cover have all disintergrated and the sides where it is held are soft and sticky. When it was being updated it was easy to do but some models were patchy in what is covered which is to be expected at this price. Instead of giving us updates it looks like they just bring out a new model which probably, will soon also become obselete. If you are lucky and it can do what you want, it is nice and easy to use.To leave a review on their website you need to login but as there is no way to login there aren't any reviews. This is a warning sign to me.

The DIAGNOSE feature on icarsoft CR pro for interrogating ECU modules on Toyota/Mazda cars does not work (communication failure) on my 2019 Corolla. OBDII feature is OK though. Watch out for foreign sellers (France) as I had to pay £41 extra for duty/handling charges before I could receive it. Amazon didn't state clearly on invoices that I had to pay it.It wasn't such a bargain I had hoped for in the end!iCarSoft toyota CR pro function list is available if you email them and request it (a link to download file). Bought renolink updates from them. Respond to emails and help resolve issues.They do not respond immediately, but always within a day.

Claims to be compatible with a large number of vehicle manufacturers, but actually isn't. Seems to support more American vehicles than European and in fact when you select just European most of the brands disappear. If there was any support (which there isn't) then it might get 2 stars, but as it is avoid at all costs because its nothing more than a massively over-priced ODB2 scanner.

Renolink V1.98 works well on Dacia Duster 1.5dci, 2013 Ideal for enthusiasts that like to do own repairs.

Icarsoft V2 Mercedes. This device cannot even reset the service overdue warning on a 2019 C Class estate (S205). This fairly common vehcle does not even appear on a number of the menus. The device has been fully updated. I should have read the reviews prior to purchase.

Purchased the appropriate unit for my car Kia venga 1.6 2018 after initial call. Over a year later I found out, from an issue I came a across, that I needed to buy a different unit, but as it was over a year old they would not allow me to exchange and pay the difference for the one I now found I required! Other issues I came across during the year did work, but importantly, now it appears not everything.

This company has posted phone number and they don't answer. Not even a way to leave a message. When a customer calls they need to talk with someone not post emails and hope someone calls you back. This is how you make a good customer a bad one. We are now in the market for 5 more units for our locations it definitely will not be icarsoft. You sit around and wait for someone to call you and when it happens you may not be around. This is total BS dealing with this kind of company. Anyone in the market DON'T BUY THIS ICARSOFT...

Buy one OBD reader but not received it after some days of delay. ICARsoft assistance is zero! not reply email, not have chat: silence! Service and assistance is zero by my experience. Hope we will receive the product and can use it, as the first impression is absolutely zero assistance not only after sale but also not got the product WE pay for!

Purchase a Icarsoft MB V2. I never received the item emailed several times no response. £145 out of pocket and nothing to show for it. Do not use this company. They have basically stole £145 from me.Just to add to this review, icarsoft changed my review on their website from negative to positive. That just sums up the company. Untrustworthy and dishonest

Bought iCarsoft V1.0 for my Boxer 2.8 hdi 2003. It turned out that model was not supported and that model is the most sold Boxer model. I have realized that I am not alone in this case. They state that they support Boxer, but not true for me.It worked with my Citroen C3 2011.

On my Subaru Legacy iCarSoft do not read any fault at all. On my Audi Q7 it find some fault code but it can not reset battery, reset service interval and lots of other functions do not work. Stay a way from it. No answer form support!

“Absolute rubbish!”

Looking at the reviews I've just wasted my money,, Software version out the box is out of date for the car it was bought for,, updated and still rubbish, returns policy states no returns if unit has been activated and updated, very clever Chinese marketing... The video shows just one of the faulty modules in this unit, it's supposed to be performing a battery reset but brining up injector cleaning on cylinder 1... Avoid if I were you, wish I had seen these reviews before buying..

“CR V2.0”

I run a Renault, Porsche and two Volvo's. It's done everything I have wanted so far, especially the Volvo's which you simply cannot maintain without this. Very happy with it. UK customer support are helpful as well.

“CR Max”

This is the biggest con ever. Read all the publicity about this product which states it will do all and more of its sister readers the V1 & V2 and specifically states the vehicle makes it covers. But there is a small statement saying that some models may not be supported by all the functions. Where are the models? I couldn't see them. Bought it specifically for French vehicles as I am a professional there and what model do you think it doesn't cover …. Only the major seller to the French workers the Peugeot boxer. Top of the range and costs more than competitors and it doesn't do even injector coding! Absolute rubbish. Might as well use it as a door stop. Icarsoft support don't want to know. I have the mercedes SD version and icarsoft II. The software is more then a nightmare to navigate and does not read all the codes. For few mercedes's is does not recognize the protocol and fails on a start up. A waste of money in my opinion Service Shipping Quality

Bought CR Pro for SRS light. Doesn't work. Support non-existent. Vendor doesn't answer phone, support email worthless, told I'd have to "debug", email took 4 days to get a response, 3 more days to get a second response with NO information. My time is worth much more than the cost of the unit. If I wanted to "debug" a tool, I'd work for a diagnostics company. What I NEED is a diagnostic tool that works as advertised. ICarSoft is supported by 1 person and we'd all be dead before he'd figure out why his code doesn't work. Company registered in DC, but obviously a foreign company and technology. Complete waste of time and a defective toy. Returned unit and bought Innova 5610. Worked perfectly out of the box, much better capabilities, vendor support, compatibility wizard on the Innova site and actually has documentation AND GOOD documentation. Tip for consumers:Run away! It's a tool that has it's code cobbled together and you get slow rolled trying to get support. A defective and poorly designed toy that doesn't work. By the time you're ready to give up, the return period and/or "warranty" would be up. Not the first time down this road with similar vendors. Buy from a company that: 1. Answers their phone, 2. The hardware seems solid but the firmware is severely lacking as a tool for LR DIYers... don't waste you money as I did. I even contacted them reporting missing info on the vehicles these units are designed for and now, no more responses to email or firmware improvements. You can't even get transmission temperature for my LR vehicle. Buy a Foxwell instead.

I bought the device because it says it simulates the gears and it doesn't! I contacted them by email reporting the problem they said they would fix it and nothing was resolved. I'm still waiting for their solution.

I purchased the iCarsoft Pro thinking it would be better than a $20 OBD2 dongle with free app. ICarsoft could only read 27 items on ECM where my cheap $20 dongle could read +70 items. This was on a Toyota Land Cruiser 200. Total waste of money!

For the price you pay, the product seems to be reasonable - but from my current experience the local and international support you get from them are perhaps lacking when you have questions. Local reseller passes it on to someone overseas who responds and then goes quiet and the over seas contact does not even reflect an iCarsoft email address, which looks like a very disconnected channel for iCarsoft as a vendor. In My case the emailers were ": iCarsoft Sales" <*******@icarsoft.co.za> and "Lily.Bongch.co" <*******@bongchtech.com> But I suspect you get what you pay for. At least the product provides free software updates and seems to be reading most of the errors with the MBII system. But then also I am told that now you need the MB V2 now, which is frustrating - why not just update the software instead of bringing out a new similar looking device Tip for consumers:I still think for the price, it is very reasonable value for money as other tools are more expensive and you typically need to subscribe and pay for firmware updates, whereas with iCarSoft it is free updates, which is rare to find these days. CUSTOMER HELP I would not recommend this company, on my experience, all I wanted to do was update a scanner and ran into problems, the staff at USA help just ended up formatting the TF card making the scanner useless since there was no data on the card and would not send new card, after repeated emails sent they all just ignored me, went for help to a uk dealer who also was no help, so the scanner I bought is now no good, so do not buy if you expect help later

I bought an i900 from iCarSoft thinking it could access airbag system on my truck. It couldn't. I spoke to the vendor who said their newer model, the CR Pro, could definitely access the air bag system. It didn't. They had me run a log function to record the attempt. I sent it to them. They sent me an update. The update completely disabled the ODBII reader so it won't even work. Now they aren't responding at all. Save your money. NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! Before you start thinking the more you pay (or perhaps an in between price) for a halfway decent diagnostic reader for your car whether it be an BMW, Ford Focus or a SLK Mercedes as mine... I am not as gifted as the younger generation ( I'm 65 years old so don't laugh) but I can Read. I wish I had read a review rather than the marketing material before I purchased this scanner. It can not put the electronic brake into service mode as advertised. When I complained they had me reset the scanner which has now made it worthless. The service from the company is just as worthless as the machine. SAVE YOUR MONEY. “How do they get away with refusing to except faulty scanners in warranties.”

They sent me around & around in circles re my faulty scanner (£150) then stopped communicating with me.

“Icarsoft LRVII - AVOID * AVOID* AVOID*”

I should start by saying I previously owned an Icarsoft i930 for my Jaguar XJ X358 which was a decent little tool and so bought the Icarsoft LRVII for my Jaguar XJ X351 thinking it would perform the same. How wrong could I be? I bought it for the various checks etc that may be needed, but primarily for resetting the service schedule and oil service schedule. These are needed to turn off the dash lights after performing a DIY oil change. Although it is advertised as being capable of this, it is NOT and will not complete the task. It does seem as if it may be able to do ths on 2010 / 2011 models but mine is a 2016 and it simply does not work. The so called helpline is simply a joke. Take your pick rom the following... 1. They either simply ignore, ignore, ignore 2. They eventually get back to you but still DO NOT HELP 3. They eventually gte back to you and ask you to make data logs to send to them essentially helping them to diagnose what faults are in the system they designed in the first place. As a proud Jaguar owner I am heavily involved in the forums and have seen dozens of other owners all experiencing the same issues.
