hubcaps.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives hubcaps.com a fairly high trust score on the platform: 80. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 80 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to hubcaps.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning hubcaps.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between hubcaps.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of hubcaps.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of hubcaps.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. hubcaps.com is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether hubcaps.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether hubcaps.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, hubcaps.com.

Ordered one wheel cover and one hub cover for my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500. Received the order, watched their installation video on YouTube and installed per video. Three of the clips snapped off (everything is plastic) I had to email support with pictures. Their response was "(This particular product is sold on a daily basis as a brand new product through out the nation .We have had hundreds of sales on this alone. Seems it was an improper installation. We can send you 2 more at a discounted price if interested.)" I really do not see a lot of 2003 Dodge Rams out on the road much, so I do not know how they sell hundreds a day. So basically I am out the cost of a wheel cover with no customer support help at all. I would think twice about purchasing from this company, maybe look for a junk yard or somewhere else. This company will only take your money and run.
I ordered a set of 4 hubcaps for my Toyota Yaris off of website about 6 months ago. When they came one was severely cracked. I left it off thinking they would send me a replacement. But after a few emails and no customer service number I never heard back from them. Then within a week I lost one. So I installed the cracked one. Emailed again no answer. No easy way to contact someone. I lost another one yesterday 10/28/22 The plastic is easily cracked not the typical plastic you get in factory hubcaps. The retention clips are no better than the Toyota. Buy beware.
I looked at their website where the say that they have OEM hubcaps. Now if a 2002 Ford F-150 had hubcaps/wheel skins came from Taiwan, then maybe I can accept that. The wheel skin that I received was a plastic cover stamped made in Taiwan. It was a crappy fit, I had to manipulate some of the clips to make it latch on to the rim. I fully expect that it will fly off on the freeway at some point. What also threw me was the price. Ebay had the same things and their pricing was $79.00 for four. Again there was confusion on their site. While I was fully expecting this hubcap to be an original per their website, I figured the price of $45.00 for one was a more than fair price. But as it turns out that price for something, that is badly fitting and made in Taiwan is, to me, a rip off.I would hesitate to buy anything or recommend them to anyone.
I bought two new hubcaps for my 2011 Ford Fusion. I was not able to install them due to the improper fit. The original factory hubcaps mounted over all five lugnuts. The two new "factory" hubcaps are supposed to mount over only three lugnuts and that's if I was actually able to get them to fit, which the y do not. Waste of $100+. I had to select 1 star and that is only because I couldn't select zero.
We did not have a good experience at all. We tried to order hubcaps for my brother-in-law for Christmas. First, the web page was not very clear and it was not very easy finding the hubcaps we needed. After trying to do it on our own for a while, it still wasn't clear if we picked the correct hubcaps...so we called the customer service line for help. They walked us through and we ordered the hubcaps. They were not the right ones. My brother-in-law was visiting from California so he took the hubcaps and receipt with him. He was going to work the exchange. The ones he wanted were going to be a lot more expensive so instead he is getting a credit and we will find another gift for him. The entire experience was very frustrating.
I was not happy with what I ordered. I was informed that a refund of 75% (no shipping refund either direction. I understood and accept this) is what Wheelcovers will refund for product I ordered, but did not care for. Response from the company was unprofessional to say the least. This was not a big dollar amount and not the biggest deal. See their response below. WheelCovers .Com9:48 AM (24 minutes ago)to me"We literally have people provide pics that customers can see in advance look at the pics the results look like this and not any different for you if you did not want it to look like that why would you order? It is plain as day the sliver in the center area. "I would never trade with this company again.
Bought 4 hubcaps, called before I ordered to verify hubcaps. They sent me wrong caps and when I asked for a Return I was told it was past the 7 day return policy.... You sent me wrong product that took over 7 days to arrive?!!!
Two of the four hubcaps got damaged as I (cautiously) installed them (Plastic cracked and/or a clip broke.) I even purchased the hubcap tool. Pretty sure I could have done as well (or better) with much cheaper versions. The tire place that put on my snow tired laughed at me for how much I spent for these (now broken) hubcaps. Thanks for asking.
the tabs on back of hubcap were broke on most of them. Plastic weld that they use to fix repairs was very messy looking. Not professional in any way. Buy somewhere else.
When I order my hubcaps I thought I was ordering a set of 4 for $30.00 When I received the package it was for only 1 hubcap for $30.00. I assume I must have accidentally clicked on the wrong item when I completed the transaction. It seems that I would have caught the mistake during the confirmation portion. So, I ended up with one hubcap instead of the 4 that I was expecting, and, the one hubcap I did get does not fit my wheel.
They sent me two different style of Hub caps when I checked my receipt it shows I only ordered one style.
My order was received very quickly. Ordering was easy. I received only the cap and not the entire cover which I thought I was ordering. Disapointing to pay that much for the cap and not the other part. Nothing that said it was seperate. I doubt if I will order anything else from them. To much to pay for part of what I needed.
In the past have been very satisfied with prior purchases. The hubcaps for my 1989 Ford Probe have been rather elusive as I have searching to find them for >5 years now. Was very hopeful when my order "went thru" recently, assuming that they were {finally} in stock, as in prior search attempts, they had been listed as "out of stock". Sadly when they arrived, they did not fit. Were about 1/2 inch too big. It looks like they are for the '90-91 models. I have just not had the energy, effort, motivation, to write back and ask for the correct ones, or a refund. Thus partly MY fault. Am disappointed, as I just wanted to get this done, and move on. There is only so much time to do "this stuff".
I seen the Hubcaps.com website for vehicle hub caps. I seen that that they had Oldsmobile Aurora caps and was looking for NOS. I Orders 4 center caps for my Oldsmobile Aurora and received them within a week.I was surprised that the caps had been repainted and it was a poor paint job. You can see that there were prior chips, scratches and other marks in the caps. These flaws were not repaired and just repainted over. There area several areas on the caps that have orange peel effect paint with dust spots and other flaws in the the paint. These must have been used because there are pry marks on two of the the caps.If I wanted repainted caps I could have just had mine repainted for less then the cost of these caps. It cost $160.00 for four caps. Cheaper to have mine repainted,I have pictures of the shipping box and the caps showing all the problems.Very disappointed. Oh yeah, I purchased those aftermarket caps for the aurora (but not from Hubcaps.com, but for ebay, same caps) they don't fit. They have a completely different attaching system on the reverse side and tabs will break off when you try to put them on. Use caution. With this said, I can't that I would not purchase other types of caps in the future, just not Aurora caps I can only comment about the caps i purchased and not to their other caps they sell.Asked question before you buy, I should have, my bad!
Looked great in picture, got hubcap and it looked like somebody cleaned it with acid
Hubs Caps great however tool to remove Caps to wide at end to remove caps had to grind it down some.
The service is great...this is the second time I have made a purchase. The only thing this time is that the Toyota Corolla reproduction hubcaps I purchased fit so tight that when I went to take one back off it started to crack...I did watch there video on properly removing and putting on hubcaps so it was not me. I didn't complain to them yet because I thought I would see if there were any more problems when I have to remove them for tire rotation...I am sure the company would take care of this problem if needed.
It wasn't on time. It was about a week late. I gave a 1 star review a couple days ago and then was called by the owner and he was very apologetic and tried to make it right on a personal level. I can't give it a 5 still because everything didn't work out the first time. But the wheel was a prefect fit and the owner was very pleasant.
wish they had the toyota symbol in the center stock ones are round but close is good !! better than any walmart brand ! didn't see price discount on stock set ?
I rec'd my order and was quite happy with my purchase. I installed the hubcap properly, I thought, but within a few days it was gone. I don't know if it was my mistake or if the clips were faulty.

I purchased a set of chrome wheel covers from this company. The merchandise is excellent and the delivery time is very impressive. After installing my new wheel covers, I have had many, many compliments on my cars appearance. My wife was so impressed, she had me order a set of chrome covers for her as well. Once again, great all the way around. Would refer this company to friends anytime. Thank you Hubcaps.com Happy Consumer

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
