Is hostek.com Legit?

The folks at Hostek have offered uncompromised support and knowledge throughout the 10+ years I have been a reseller with them. I plan to stick with them knowing that my challenges are no challenge for them.

The product provided is OK - not bad but definitely does not stand out from their competition. Customer support is very weak. We have had a few issues over the past few years and the solution is rarely identified or resolved by Hostek. Our current issue is that our automatic cc payments are not processing, no issue with the card, it works everywhere else. Hostek is just requiring that we log in and process the payment on the same card manually every month. I am not sure why multiple vendors can process payments like this for us, but a more technology driven company like Hostek apparently can’t figure it out – multiple days conversing with their support group and the only answer is comply with our additional requirements.

Writing blogs for a website is easy. The inner workings can, to the less than tech-savvy, be very difficult. Upgrading to a larger website can be daunting. We at MCOI had to move up from a shared server to a VPS (Virtual Private Server). Abdullah at Hostek handled the move with professionalism and most importantly, kept me informed as it progressed. Thank you Hostek team!

On 12 Dec 2024, I am experiencing timed out on all my websites which are hosted with Hostek. Reach out to their support and Thamer promptly replied to me in less than 10 mins and resolve the issue within 1 hour. Thank you so much for the great technical support experience. Keep up the good work!

I had an issue changing ownership of the company so the new owner could manage the domain. Jesse did an amazing job at ensuring that he was talking to the right person and verifying for security. Then helped us get the 2FA setup and things changed around.

I'm frustrated that my mail server has been only half functional for two days now over an SSL renewal that they are re-issuing... and it still takes hours and hours to get any response from support.

Thamer was wonderful and quickly helped resolve a minor issue with sandbox security. It wasn't a priority project for me, but he had it fixed within half an hour - and this was late at night after I had set the priority to low on the ticket! Constructive feedback for Hostek when adding new domains to shared CF hosting: I seem to find initial bugs whenever I add a new domain - This one was sandbox related and I just found another where svg files will not work even after mime types have been added. It seems like some settings aren't being consistently applied when spinning up new instances.

Vlad did a great job of figuring out what the server issue was. I was back working on my code in no time.

Hostek is the best! I've been hosting with them for over a decade and it's truly an honor to have high-caliber technicians such as Tasha to keep my projects running with mathematical precision.

WORTHLESS ! Ive been a customer for over 10 years and they have been terrific back then. Recently their customer service is horrific. I cant connect to my access database. I submitted about 10 tickets regarding the same issue with responses that seem to be written by a 5 year old . One response was what is your domain ?? Really?? Others claim "Issue Resolved". When error still occurred. They don't check anything. Then when I call you are placed on hold for 10 minutes only for them to tell you to leave a message. No one calls you back. I am now going through the hassle of migrating to another host. Trust me, stay away from Hostek. They are no longer the company they once were.

5* for Hassan who helped me out of a very frustrating issue with my domain hosting. Lesser stars for the poor email customer service I received from Hostek (on several occasions) - please improve! - waiting for over a week for any response and receiving late fees because of it is very poor. Thankful that I was able to get my issue resolved only through Hassan's excellent customer service.

Response was quick. I've been a customer for over 10 years. 10 years ago, support was awesome and then it slipped. I wouldn't have given this rating 6 months ago. Keep up the good work and keep improving your procedures.

I had a real problem setting up my initial database. But Thamer sorted everything out for me in double-quick time even though it was the middle of the night. Now that's what I call service!

I had my first problem with my email service in years this morning, but Hassan was able to resolve the issue in a few minutes.Well done!

When our site unexpectedly went down Claire got us back up and running in a few minutes. Appreciated the quick fix!

2FA PROBLEMThe problem centred on setting up 2FA using Bitwarden- it wasn't the fault of Hostek who have proved to be a splendid company to deal with. I wanted to set it up on my PC but it wasn't that simple (or perhaps I am simple!). Vlad was extremely helpful, untangling the mess I had created. All is now successfully sorted and I am most grateful to him.

Had a website error, Hassan sorted this within the hour! I didn't expect such speedy help with it being a Sunday but Hostek delivered as always. Thank you.

Vlad from hostek was really helpful in getting one of my sites back up and running after being hacked. He followed up until everything was operating like new.
