hawigs.ca Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives hawigs.ca a pretty low trust score on the platform: 31.00. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Medium Risk. Standard. Warning..

We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 31.00 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to hawigs.ca's industry. The algorithm detected fairly high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Medium Risk. Standard. Warning. tags above.

Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning hawigs.ca, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between hawigs.ca and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of hawigs.ca. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of hawigs.ca, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below.

A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.

hawigs.ca is a questionable website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether hawigs.ca has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether hawigs.ca boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, hawigs.ca.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.

Are You the Owner of hawigs.ca?

If you own hawigs.ca, we would love to hear from you. However, if you would like to challenge this review and trust score, we are more than willing to take a deeper look, but be prepared to offer solid proof of your business. Please introduce yourself first (your name, not "Admin"). Consumers are smart. Typically, they don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence.

When domain owners contact us to challenge the trust score of their website on our website Validator, we would kindly ask them to share some of the following things:
* Details from their ecosystem that would show that they are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, etc.).
* Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook.
* If possible, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested, etc.).

We are more than willing to update the review right away—the more proof you show, the higher the trust score will be.

  1. I have exactly the same bad experience as the commenters above. I received a wig that does not match the item description at all. They offered a 10% refund. I was unsatisfied and asked for a 75% refund. I have never heard anything back afterwards. These guys are SCAMMERS!!!!!

    1. I too had the same experience and notified my credit card company and sent them all the e-mails I had with them and as soon as they contacted them Hawigs gave me a full refund as they did not want any investigating going on but my credit card company told me they have been flagged. Stay on it and keep e-mailing them and threaten with going to credit card company or bank. Do not send back the wig. Tell them you are keeping it for proof of misrepresentation.

  2. JANICE PILKINGTON

LADIES HERE IS HOW TO GET YOUR BACK CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD FRAUD DEPARTMENT THEY WILL INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK

  3. Same thing happened to me just a week ago! I am devastated that this happened. The wig that I received looks like doll hair! It was completely different color than what I ordered! Who can we complain to as I have emailed them at lest a dozen times to try and get a refund and address to return the wig! Wish I never ordered from here!

    1. Do not send it back. Tell them you are contacting credit card company or bank whichever way you paid. Stay on it and you will get your money back.

  4. PLEASE DON’T BUY FROM “HAWIG” THEY ARE SCAMMERS. They advertize ON THERE SITE if not satisfy you will have your money back. I PROMISE you will never have anything back. They promise(LILY) probably fake name they will give you a refund IN % like 10% but you will never see it.
They are a bunch of scammer that want to make money out of people with cancer that really need it. They don’t have any remorse all they want is you money thats the way they do business
    PEOPLE YOU ARE WARN NOW!

  5. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

The comments below describe my exact identical experience from ‘Lily’. Wig colour and product Not at all what I ordered. Return page looks legit, but the Return website won’t allow me to enter reason for return so I can’t file it. I copied and pasted it back to them. I sent them photos. I wanted a full refund. ‘Lily’ says it is expensive and there is no guarantee it will arrive back to them. They confirmed it is a China return, although was charged through Great Britton on my CC. I have filed a dispute with my Credit Card Company.

HA Wigs seem to scrub google so I didn’t find any bad reviews when I ordered.

    1. I had the same problem wrong wig and they do not want me to return it. Send them pictures still no return offer me 10% but 2 months after no refund Email them every week she said(by the name of Lily)don’t worry will do that for you. Just never happen
PLEASE DON T BUY FROM THEM THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU it they are really bad

  6. Well I thought I was special but they have a script. I’ve threatened them with going on social media, and exposing them they did offer 10% , I’ve told “Lily” I’d take 50% 150.00, they answered back with 15%. I’m still in communication but it sounds like no one gets a refund. I ordered a brunette wig and received a blonde wig instead with human hair with not very much hair on the top and falling out easily. We are all going through the same thing. I should have known I’ve heard human hair wigs are super expensive. I got my wig with taxes delivery etc 311.24 I just flushed it down the toilet I guess. They are SCAMMING all of us. I don’t know how to get our money back either.

  7. DON’T ORDER FROM HAWIGS THEY WONT REFUND YOUR MONEY THEY ARE DEFFINATLY A SCAM COMPANY DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM THERE PRODUCT IS CRAP CRAQP CRAP RIPPED ME OFF FOR $100 DOLLARS

  8. I ordered a hair piece from there – took awhile to come but Lily kept in contact with me and when it did come I loved it, I have had no problems with them at all other than it took 3 weeks to arrived,

  9. hawigs.ca is most definitely a scammer. I ordered a wig, paid for it, and when it arrived, it was nothing like what I ordered – not even close and on top of that, what they did send was so pathetically sub-standard, no one would wear it except as part of a halloween costume. I contacted Hawigs right away. – one month ago now – and they have used any number of tactics to not refund my money. They asked me to provide photos which I did. They told me that the photos weren’t good enough and asked me to send again. I did. I also sent them photo from their site of the wig I ordered and the order confirmation – they do not provide an invoice with the wig. Then, they became much more cagey. 1. They do not provide legitimate information to be able to use their website for the return information. 2. They refuse to provide an address that I can use to return the wig. 3. They offered a refund of 10% stating that it is very expensive for me to return the wig to China. Remember, I paid the shipping fee for it to be sent to me and based on that amount, I suspect that they have an building in Canada that they use to ship from. 4. They told me that their material costs are very expensive – which has nothing to do with me – and then offered a 15% refund. They keep telling me its up to me to find out how costly it will be to return the wig to China but still have not provided me with an address so that I can do that. 5. Their most recent offer is to provide me with a discount so that they can “redo” the order – essentially, having me pay more money for a substandard product!!! At the very beginning of this experience, they provided what I now believe was false tracking information.
Stay as far away from them as you possibly can. They are set up to steal your money

    1. We had the EXACT same experience … the same emails regarding that it would be expensive for us to return the wig. They also offered a 10% refund which was ridiculous and after numerous emails, they continually refused to send the return address to China. We sent pictures of the wig, as well. I was surprised that they even took the time to respond to our constant emails for clarification but the responses never addressed our questions. Don’t buy a wig from this site.

      1. Catherine P Gagnon

Yes, and the same scam is being done under the name KIM WIGS pretending to be out of the U.K. There is a long list of almost step-by-step identical experiences from buyers like you and me with them.

    2. I had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE!! BUT WHAT CAN WE DO? They are definitely scammers. How can this be stopped. I am a senior and recovering from cancer a second time so that’s why I ordered the hair piece. How can dishonest people get ahead and continue to scam innocent people. Who can we call?

    3. I agree with everything you said….verbatum. The EXACT scenario happened to me. Ladies !!!SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
RUN !!!! These people are SCUM……namely LILY
