guardsman.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives guardsman.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 88.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 88.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to guardsman.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning guardsman.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between guardsman.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of guardsman.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of guardsman.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. guardsman.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether guardsman.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether guardsman.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, guardsman.com.

I placed my first request for service 3 years after purchase. I contacted the furniture company to obtain the protection plan number and proceeded to call Guardsman. After talking to 3 representatives and getting a total run around, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I didn't get any better results. Do yourself a favor and skip a protection plan with this company. $300 out the window! If I could give this company a 0 stars I would.
This company is a cash grab and do not honour their contract. They find ways to profit without fulfilling their contractual obligation. It’s companies like this I hope go into receivership. Scumbags!
Had a repair on our wood table. Fantastic job and all the marks have been restored to the the day we purchased it. John, who repaired the table was very polite and could not fault his service.
We purchased two recliners at Belfort furniture and were talked into buying the five-year warranty which apparently covers almost any damage that can happen. We decided to purchase it even though it cost us $300, because the two recliners had a lot of moving parts: heating and automatic reclining etc. Recently, my husband noticed that a piece of metal had broken through part of the fabric on the side of the seat, so we filed a claim through Guardsman. On the claim form it asked when the damage was noticed, and my husband accidentally wrote10/2 instead of 11/2, and now they refuse to cover it because they say we did not notify them within 30 days. We called Guardsman to let them know of our error, but they would not even listen. They just shut him down at every turn ~so $300 wasted. SHAME on GUARDSMAN and SHAME on Belfort for dealing with such a company!
Terrible company we bought set of recliners from the gallery furniture the promise the c9ver any damage we paid over 700 end then they just fin any excuse to no pay anything saying they don't cover the damage parts
I strongly advise against doing business with this company or purchasing any of their protection plans. They will NOT honor their service commitments. I had an extended warranty for a gaming chair, and when I needed to use it, it turned into a nightmare.I tried reaching out multiple times with no response. When I finally got lucky and someone answered, they asked me to submit a claim. After waiting over two weeks for a response, they told me to "check with the manufacturer" instead. This is completely unacceptable and makes the extended warranty a total waste of money. They clearly have no intention of standing behind their products or services. Save yourself the hassle and frustration—stay far away from this company!
Terrible terrible company, refused our claim and named a company we never even bought the sofa off.... terrible company stay clear......
There website would not let me upload pictures I tried on more then one computer. I finally had to contact the place I purchased to get them to send over documents I put the date of when I noticed it. But since it took so long to upload they denied. I called so many time to dispute they were rude and sarcastic I lost my shit. WARNING DON"T WASTE UR TIME GETTING THIS PLAN THEY WILL DENY
If there was something less than zero I would use it. My chair has always had a cover on it, has a loose "decorative" thread. Apparently that isn't covered. Had my dog peed on it or someone bled on it, burned it with a cigarette or tore it with an object, it would be covered. They would repair IT but not replace the "decorative stitching. The chair was sat in 5 times. I am so angry at the misrepresentation of the 5 year warranty and the lack of customer service when trying to file a claim. I will tell everyone I can that this is a complete rip off.
I purchased thier warranty for all 3 pieces of my furniture at #DFS. I was told that it covers any accident and damages etc.My furniture is white so of course it will discolour over time but not to an extent where I felt I needed to claim. Now my child has has an accident on them and they have said that there are other gradual stains present so my claim is void.I'm calling for a recent stain, not an old stain!I feel that I need to claim or sue DFS for selling me this rubbish by misleading me!
This is the worst company ever, I will warn Furniture Direct to not market their warranty again as they do not keep to what the tell customers. I sent in my request and they said is not what happened to the couch, then tell me what happened to the couch since you're in my house. requested for refund and they said they will not refund me my money back. This is daylight theft, if you know that you can keep your words, please stop using the furniture company to still from customers.
Guardsman is NOT dependable. I had a claim open with a technician, MR THO…today to arrive between 9 am / 1 pm- I have been at my home all day waiting- NO PHONE CALL, Was told the tech took a photo of my house, which he probably did that to cover the company- No knock on my door, no doorbell ring!DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COVERAGE
Absolute toilet, waste of money and not fit for purpose. Had an engineer out that wrongly diagnosed my recliner sofa so had to start another claim, still awaiting a part after four months. I've continuously chased and got told this morning I'll be waiting another six weeks as there's been a delay on the delivery/parts. Absolute waste of money and I'm on way to furniture village now to speak to the branch manager
Absolute rubbish, scammers. DFS are to blameas they me sofas with warrenty from guardsman never heard of them! After an ink mark gor I contact and guess what it’s not covered as I should have told them earlier?? It happened a day ago? How soon could I report it. Absolute losers and a waste of my time and money.
Worst company, i have furniture insurance with them, there technition mentioned that your sofa will b pickedup for repair. And in one week i receive email that claim is denied. Plz dont waste money on this company.my furniture is purchased from perfect home. They will sell you insurance and will not tell you that guardsman has third party who deals with claims. ToTAL FRAUD COMPANY
I am extremely disappointed with Guardsman. They are nothing more than scammers who take your money and provide no real help when it matters. Their insurance is a complete joke. When I needed to make a claim, they refused to cover it, hiding behind technicalities despite the clear evidence I provided. Their customer service is unresponsive and dismissive, showing absolutely no concern for their customers. Buying their services is an absolute waste of money. I strongly advise anyone to steer clear of Guardsman don’t make the same mistake I did.
Where to start? Purchased 5-year warranties for four appliances when we got our kitchen redone last year--I had no idea these warranties were scams and will definitely let the appliance store (which was awesome) know not to use Guardsman any more. I filed a claim for a broken microwave three months ago. They sent us a technician who said, "oh, you need a part" and left, and we never heard from him again. The tech's number was disconnected; Guardsman gave me a new number for a business with the same name in a *completely different state*--then they gave me another number that goes straight to VM. I explained this, and Guardsman said they had to confirm that the OOS number was in fact OOS and wouldn't service me (I'm in Maryland, business is in Kentucky :) ), and they couldn't give me a referral to another tech, even though the first seems to out of business.Twice, I was told the case had been escalated, and they would call me back. Never happened.Honestly, a broken microwave is not a huge deal. But I did pay for the warranties, and I don't like feeling cheated, which is exactly what is happening. Very soon, I'll file a complaing with the BBB against Guardsman/Amynta unless I can recover what I spent for the warranties, and I'll just pay out of pocket for repairs. This runaround isn't worth it.
I would like to thank Guardsman for their fantastic service . My claim was dealt with professionally and staff very helpful. My claim was resolved and can’t thank them enough.I would totally recommend anyone buying new furniture to take out the cover with Guardsman !
Absolute worst policy you can buy for any furniture. We got this on an expensive suite for our home and was mis-sold this by DFS. We attempted a claim when our recliner mechanism broke and snapped. We where told that the cover doesn’t cover any kind if manufacturer faults and now the sofa is out of warranty with DFS. Complete waste of money and time. Lesson learnt.
the worst company ever we spent 10s of thousands on furniture with ethan allen and bought the protection by plan and we keep getting thrown in circles . NEVER fall for this gimmick we will never buy from ethan allen again because they sell a bogus product.

My husband and I bought an AVIATOR from Haverty's with the GOLD PLAN from Guardsman. It died out on us and according to our plan, we should be covered but they are saying one of the pieces is not covered. I tried to go to the website for our coverage that Haverty's gave me but it doesn't exist. I keep getting bounced from Guardsman to Resolution (the company the technician is from) to Haverty's. Stay far away from Haverty's and far away from Guardsman. I just read that according to Forbes magazine Guardsman is one of the top 3 franchises to stay away from. Tip for consumers:If you do buy furniture from Haverty’s and get the Guardsman coverage pray you don’t need to use the coverage because they will not honor their commitment. So don’t buy from Haverty’s and don’t get Guardsman furniture coverage. It’s too late for me. I’ve been getting the run around since august.
“Poor furniture coverage, even worse customer service”
We bought a Guardsman warranty through Nebraska Furniture Mart 1 1/2 years ago, for the sectional we purchased. Supposedly the warranty covered everything and anything, which was important as we were going to be getting a puppy. We had a couple claims to file (together) for different portions of the sectional and tried to do so recently. First, to even get their claim form, my husband had to hold for a half hour (his entire lunch break) and then hang up and call back later, hold some more... and when he finally got somebody, they had a thick, hard-to-understand accent, told him he needed another area. He talked to the next person who was easier to communicate with, and sent him a link to fill out a claim form. We did what we were supposed to, filling out the claim form with photos and ALL the details and submitting it electronically. Very time-consuming process. We then had to do step 2, and print all of the stuff we provided, snail mailing it, as well. We were supposed to hear back within 10 business days. That was a month ago. No word back whatsoever. When I called to check on our status, I went though a lengthy explanation process with one guy who said he saw our claim, but we'd have to talk with somebody else at another office that was closed on Wednesdays. Weird. Annoying. But okay. Called back on another day. Eventually (after another lengthy hold) I got another thick accent, hard to understand, and a bad connection to boot. Could barely hear this person. Worked through all of our information only to be told I needed another department (AGAIN!). Finally got a person in that other department. Had to go through ALL of our information AGAIN only to be rudely told they had denied our claim. FIrst - why didn't they tell us? Supposedly they emailed (they had not. I double-checked all spam filters). Secondly - WHY? Because we had tears at the seam. That's not covered. I could have literally used a machete and torn into my cushion and that would be covered. A rip at the seam through normal wear and tear (which the sectional should have withstood... We're not animals...) and NOPE. Nada. Oh, and one other small pet issue was not covered because they claimed we were two days late turning it in. It had to be within a month of the incident. Here's the kicker... It WAS turned in on time electronically - in fact, a day or two early. But they were going by when they received the snail mail. And the rep was incredibly rude to boot. Do NOT use this company. They will find any way they can to avoid honoring the agreement you paid for. Total scam. NFM no longer uses their services, and I can see why! At least the store is trying to work with us on some sort of compensation. They have good customer service skills. Guardsman? Horrendous. They should be ashamed of how they take advantage of customers. Tip for consumers:Waste of money, frustrating to deal with Products used:Damage warranty for furniture Service Value

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
