Ordered a ruby and diamond ring from the GEMNY huge selection (picture from website attached). The price was fair, the quality and craftsmanship top notch and delivery speedy considering they had to make the mounting from scratch. In fact, the ring arrived more than a week before it was promised. The website is fabulous, easy to use and allows placement of stones in the jewelry items to give a good look how the finished product will be. So satisfied that will be back for matching ruby earrings in the near future.

Shopped around for a while looking for a sapphire ring. Really liked the way Gemsny has their website setup with the actual photo of the stone along with the extreme detail of the gem (color intensity, eye clarity, enhancement, weight, brilliance, exact dimensions, origin). Didn't find this much information on other websites. Also, the price was good. And the ability to choose so many different types of stone settings was wonderful. All in all I have to say my experience with Gemsny was 5 star!

We were searching for a good sertified Sapphire, not heated, for a reasonable price. It is never easy to choose a gem or a ring online, but here we got the best customer care from expert Vishal. In my opinion Gemsny is a great place to buy gems and jewelry. Ernie did his best with me and even recommended against his own interests to give me a true opinion. And my ring came out great. But I do have a recommendation of my own, they need better pictures of the gems and also hd video to get a better understanding of what your buying, because their pictures either doesn't do their gem justice or the gem has flaws you can't see in the picture they have. But other that i will be buying at least another ring or two.

Had a great experience designing a custom Aquamarine and Rose Gold ring for my mom. We loved the inventory options and Vishal helped make us feel comfortable purchasing a stone without having seen it in person. EXCELLENT SERVICE -I used GemsNY's web site to purchase a ruby and gold ring for my wife's birthday. The web site was user friendly, pictures and descriptions were clear and accurate and made it easy to find the right gem and setting selection within my budget. Purchased an emerald in 2022 from GemsNY in 2022 and had a platinum setting made. After only 2 months of wear the baguette diamond fell out of one side. And of course was not covered under their warranty as they say they only cover the setting. Spent several hundred dollars sending it back, and had to pay to replace the diamond as I did not want to make an insurance claim so soon. It is now April and the other diamond is loose and about to fall out of setting. Luckily she noticed before it fell out. Do not waste your money with this company. Their customer service is great when you are purchasing but horrendous thereafter. Beautiful ring but horrible quality setting and no effort from this company to remedy.

I bought my wife a traditional solitaire for our engagement. She found that she could not wear it because the stone protruded and since she is so active, she was afraid of hurting her hand or the ring. We contacted a jeweler who counseled us in getting this particular setting. It's lovely and she's very happy with it.

“Went to NY shop - exactly what I was searching for”

I have always wanted a ruby engagement ring, but had just about given up until I came across gemsNY. Most shops rent a few rubies and try to push them on you with little to no information. I made an appointment and they were able to show me all the nuances in different clarity, colors, brilliance, and heated/non heated (walked me through more like). Prices were at least half what we had seen at places before and in my one appointment, I saw over 10 stones in person. I can't speak for the online experience, but I highly suggest this company (and if you can make a quick trip or a vacation to NYC, you can see any stone from the website in person!) People were very friendly, helpful, and I never felt pressured out o my price range - they showed stones well below in fact!

Overall I am very happy with the ring that was sent. I would have given it a 5 out of 5 but I felt the image on the site of the setting was a little misleading. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful ring. How it was misleading is the website image they show for review makes the setting band look a little wider and more substantial than the actual setting. The ring width looks petite, which is fine because she is a small woman, but the image on the site showing the setting makes it look more impressive and robust. My god daughter turned 18 years old on June 12th. I'd been looking for an emerald ring for her birthday for about half a year, since 18 is the transition year from "girl" to "young woman". Everything I looked at in Toronto that I liked was far beyond what I could afford to buy and it was all retail. I was extremely hesitant to order from Gemsny even after researching the company on the internet. I live in Toronto, but wholesale met my requirements and pocketbook. I paid with PayPal, so I felt a certain security because if it was a fake, PayPal would get my money back for me (as PayPal has done this for me before with unscrupulous merchants). I spoke with Vishnu on several occasions before I chose the emerald. He was knowledgeable and very helpful in choosing the emerald to place in the setting I had chosen. My goddaughter loves the ring. It was the best deal I could find and this 5-star rating is genuine, from a satisfied and grateful customer.

They were helpful in choosing a gemstone that was right for me and always available for any questions or concerns I had about the custom ring I was having made. When the ring was finished it was absolutely beautiful! I did have it appraised after reading a previous review, and the sapphire was worth what I paid, overall I'm happy and the comapany was a pleasure to deal with, even with me being as difficult as I am.

“WORTHLESS DIALOGUE”

Called to create a custom ring with a $50k sapphire. They made no attempt to even hear what the design was, repeating that it was impossible unless I had a picture of it. Since it's not something that I have ever seen, I have no picture of it. "You can't even google it?" No, there is nothing like what I want to design out there. "It's not that hard, you should just google it. We won't bother without a picture." Well, gee, if it was out there, then I would just buy it instead of dealing with a self absorbed jerk. Everything is final sale (ie good luck if they mess up) and they refused to make plastic molds to assist with the process. Hundreds of dollars he says, it'll cost more than the ring. Basic math: $50k / $200 = 250. You would have to mess up a couple hundred times and then some to cost more than the gemstone alone. Then he hung up. $#*!.

The selection is amazing and the prices are right, but as far as customer service goes, this site gets an "F". They advertise hassle-free returns and free shipping on all products, but my TWO orders were charged (non-refundable) $20 each for shipping. How they trick you: An item listed as $100 on the site will cost you exactly $100, but your invoice will list it as an $80 item with a $20 shipping charge. If you want to return that item, you're out $20, because shipping charges are non-refundable. The customer service department seems like it's located in India, and understanding the service associates is a bit of trouble. I played a mind-numbing game of calling, being transferred, getting hung up on, called back, and going in circles for just too long. The main guy (Vishnu) I was talking to was very rude, unprofessional, and interrupted me numerous times. In short: This site is very good if you are 100% sure you want to keep the item (without even seeing it), or if you can afford $20 per item, plus return shipping (and insurance) charges if you do decide to return it. I spent $200 on two items on this site, and when all was said and done, I was dissatisfied with the merchandise, and was out $50.
