Is freshpet.com Legit?

Our dogs love the food and it's well packaged and delivered, but...Original starting subscription had more in it. For £50 per month we now get 6 bags of food and two bags of bacon treats. One of the bags is a more fancy chicken recipe. However, before I'm pretty sure we got one or two more bags and the broth. I contacted customer service to be advised they'd stopped the broth, but as yet it's not been restarted, I wasn't advised of this change and I'm still paying the same subscription cost. Their excuse was that it was a free item, although I'm not convinced.

Started a subscription, took my money instantly, but over 48h later, still not even a packing confirmation. No indication at all when the food will be sent let alone delivered. Same as other reviewers, their customer service is also non existent. Doesn't answer the phone and doesn't even list a contact email address. UPDATE:To be fair to them when I finally got through they were helpful and friendly and refunded me. So upped this to 3 stars

My dogs are 13 years old and one is allergies, his skin was so bad and he scratched uncontrollably. I tried every medicine I could find. So last resort I tried changing his food. I tried Fresh Pet and after a few months he stared to get his hair back and coat was shiny again. Both my dogs started to get active again and the tail wagging was absolutely a 10! That was in May 2023 and I have not looked back! Highly recommend Fresh Pet. Happy dogs, happy Mama!

Received my freshpet order today, got packs for both my cat and dog. Had tried previously from Tesco to test and both my pets loved it! Received a full pack now and tried out their extensive range and can't wait for my pets to try it. I used to make my pets raw food but it's time consuming and I don't always understand their nutritional needs. The packs all seem well balanced and I leave it to the professionals. Food came well packed and even for one of the hottest weeks for 2024! Keep it up, our furry friends need more options!

Fresh Pet is in conversation with me & they are in the middle of assuring me that the recipe is safe for dogs & cats. It is interesting to note how strong the smell of garlic is. While it is lovely smell to people & now i don't need to worry anymore about how much harm it may have done to my little dog. Maybe FreshPet should let everyone see the answer they sent me to put everyone's, for those that are interested, minds at rest. I opened a FreshPet Roasted Meals packet two days ago and notested a smell of garlic. Two days later I remembered the smell again & look up online if dogs can have garlic in there food. The answer to my surprise was a definite NO. I'm so worried about this as I have been feeding it to my Cavalier King Charles. I can't believe that FreshPet did not know this as it is poison to dogs. What does FreshPet have to say. I would be very interested.

Would give no stars if I could. My pet loves the food but the companies customer service is diabolical. Email are not responded to and promised phone calls do not happen. My order was incorrect and missing an item and still no reply from the company about this apart from one email to state the reason the order was incorrect was because I had changed it, which I had no knowledge of doing, and when checking my account I can’t see a change. There has been no acceptance on the companies part that the order was missing an item and no offer to post out the missing item. For the price of the food I would expect an exemplary customer service.Avoid at all costs if I were you

Our dog has been on Freshpet for about 18 mths now. He is very fussy but he loves all the varieties & the food suits him. Was buying Freshpet at the local supermarket but was never sure whether they would have stock so decided to go direct. Have been having deliveries for the past 2 months with no problems so hoping this will continue. Many thanks Freshpet we are all very happy with service & food

Absolutely shocking service!!! The product is never delivered within the promised timeframe! Customer service says things are sorted that clearly aren’t! Such a shame! My dog has been fed Freshpet for years - we are extremely loyal customers, but the loyalty is not at all repaid. My poor dog now has an upset stomach because I’ve had to feed him different food whilst waiting SOOOO long for his delivery of Freshpet to arrive! False promises!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dogs love the food but have two different sizes of same chicken product. Both are tender chicken but one with 57g portion size is and the larger one has 114g portions but can’t find any information on why or if it’s more condensed hence the smaller size and servings. And the smaller dog selection has the 57g portions but they are high protein. Confused.

We diside to try something new for our dog but unfortunately dog really love the food only thing I don't know what is made from but straight after eating I recognised that my dog drinking a lot off water and feel sick on next day. I even thought that is salt in the food when is not. Also he wasn't eating anything on next day and I recognised blood in his poop. I thought that maybe he's picked something outside as food smells good and he was enjoying eating specially when he's so picky so yesterday I diside to give another chance unfortunately exactly the same situation he's poly again so be careful with that food!!!

My dog has been on fresh pet for 6 months and oh my how this food has improved his digestive system!! Used to purchase from supermarkets but they never had stock!! Now subscribed and ordered on Sunday and was delivered on Tuesday!! I would never swap with another product x fresh pet you are amazing 110% recommend

Awful customer service my dog hates the broth and the treats bit you can't change the menu. I have tried phoning said they can't do it as I need to verify my phone number with them but keep saying that the phone number is wrong, I know I am giving them the right number. Tried emailing again its appalling completely disgusted

Our French bulldog loves his pet fresh particularly fond of the chicken and vegetable pouch. We recently switched to the subscription service and the first order was delivered on time well packaged and with adequate use by dates. Only issue we did not get the 50% discount on the first order?Sent an email as suggested 4 weeks ago and heard nothing. Toby enjoys the food my only complaint is the website states 50% off first two subscription orders and I have paid full price so would appreciate a response?

My 14 yr old Jack Russell absolutely loves this food .. he had developed a sensitive stomach recently but since he’s been eating freshpet everything is back to normal …tried quite a few of they’re products and he loves them all !!!

Food delivery arrives on time. Both my dogs enjoy the food and one of them is a fussy eater. Sometimes replacement flavours are substituted when stock is short but this hasn’t been a problem as the dogs enjoy all the flavours. Christmas gifts and treats where appreciated.

Great food but absolutely shamble of service they will send you to s******** you don't want they will replace the missing stock with something else you didn't order or your dog doesn't eat. They claim that they won't send you money back because T/C normal company will ask customers do they want a replacement before they send you s********* from warehouse stock that nobody buys absolute 0 waste of time and money on that food. Bunch of scammers

I have been trying since last Friday to get someone to talk to about my complaint and today I tried again and still no one sent me the email address as promised last Friday and Monday and Wednesdays this week My dog food keeps turning white after one day open and I am trying to send photos in and getting no where Very unhappy with level of service

My dog is a very fussy eater so thought we would try fresh pet and he absolutely loves it he also soffers with a sensitive belly but has calmed down massively since being on this food. I would highly recommend :)

After using this company with a fortnightly subscription for over a year.... Never had a problem. Until yesterday. Noticing I hadn't received an email to let me know my delivery would be arriving today. So rang last night to be informed they have no information on me at all. That they have an I.T issue. They would get back to me urgently!! Rang back this morning... Made a priority again ... rang back 3 more times today, to be given a load of lies and NO ONE.... getting back to me. No emails, no correspondence to me whatsoever about their changes.... Shoddy behaviour... Its a shame my dogs love their food. Will now look for another company!! Disgraceful attitude and they don't care about existing customers!!! 🤬🤬

My dog loves his fresh pet, it’s good to have a subscription but it would be good if you could change your delivery date when you have some left or need it sooner. I sometimes have quite a bit leftover and then another delivery comes and I end up with too much.
