We came up with the 68.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to frankgayservices.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning frankgayservices.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between frankgayservices.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of frankgayservices.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of frankgayservices.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. frankgayservices.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether frankgayservices.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether frankgayservices.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, frankgayservices.com.

“CSR lied about weekend fee, but refunded in the end”
Our AC unit failed while still under warranty on June 9, a Sunday. The contractor who warranted the system would have repaired for free but could not do it until Wednesday. Willing to pay for a repair for faster service, we contacted Frank Gay Services. Their CSR advised that a weekend service call was $129 but would be applied against the cost of the repair. This was a lie. We signed off on almost $300, expecting that included the $129. It didn't. Frank Gay admitted to the bad info from the their CSR but refused to waive the fee. We never received an invoice until we disputed the charge with Visa. Over $400 for a repair that would have been free under warranty had we waited for our regular contractor. Over $400 for a repair we never would have agreed to if we'd known that the weekend fee would not apply to the cost of the bill. $129 that would not have applied had we waited until Monday instead of Sunday. $400+ for a bill that would have been $291 on Monday and $0 on Wednesday. $400+ for a bill we didn't receive it writing until June 24th. And their radio ads are Uber annoying. We feel deceived and ripped off and will never use Frank Gay ever again. GET YOUR QUOTE IN WRITING FOLKS Edit: On August 13, Rachel Olan contacted us to advise that she had reviewed our recorded initial phone call and agreed that the CSR had promised the $129 would be waived; all agents involved would receive remedial training. We received our refund after signing a document promising to revise my review. I don't believe we would have received a refund had we not signed. We still paid $291 for less than an hour's work to replace a $15 capacitor.
“SCAM ALERT!”
I had very positive experiences with Frank Gay plumbers and electricians as I prepared to sell my home and needed to make some repairs after the inspection. Then, when I bought my new home, I had a negative experience with the HVAC tech who serviced the unit. However, Frank Gay customer service reached out to me and restored my faith, so I have revised my review. It is very reassuring to know that the company listens to its customers' concerns as well as their praise. I will definitely use Frank Gay again when needed. Service Value Quality
“They need a negative star system. I can't figure out how they have been in business for so long.”
If you like being ripped off they are great company to go with. Overpriced and lousy work done. What would have costed me a dollar doing myself was 250.00 with Frank Gay. I see why the commerical the guy always calls Sunny Side plumbing. He must have dealt with Frank Gay before. Service Value Quality
“Call anybody else, they will try to take advantage of you.”
Less than 8 months ago my water heater went out on a Saturday morning. $2,450+ later, I had a new one and a service contract with Frank Gay Services. I woke this morning to, no hot water and they want $139 to come out and look at the problem as it's a holiday or I have to wait till Monday. I opened the top plate of the heater and found this melted and shorted out wire,...hmmm, I wonder if something was wrong with the installation? Yep, no hot water this weekend, thanks to the fine folks at Frank Gay
“Attempted Overcharge”
Guy tried to sell me a entire new electric breaker panel before any diagnostics where done and was quoting me financing options before even looking in the panel. Shocker they wanted $12,000 worth of repairs. Called a second company to come out and they solved the problem with a $14 breaker. Service Value Quality
“The epitome of unethical deceptive business practice”
This company is absolutely one of the least professional/knowledgeable I have ever had the experience of dealing with. I have over 14k invested in a new AC system in a relatively small home and yet it is still 80 degrees with the unit running 24/7. They lie, are unprofessional and want to fix issues on their own schedule. I feel like they discriminate. I have a disabled daughter and they have messed up things in her room specifically. They try to get you to sign a legal waiver and still do subpar work. Will not provide itemized invoice, failed inspection, deny liability. No accountability. Throw cigarette butts and gloves in yard. Arrive unannounced. Products used:AC Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Did nothing and had to pay”
Told they wouldn't work on my type of pipes. Couldn't tell me where leak was because they didn't come prepared to go under mobile home.no suit. Never even turned on water. Still had to pay for just pulling up to my home. Service Value Shipping Quality
“Beware of Frankgay first fee”
They usually charged you $79.90 just to come and have a look; I had a incompetent technician showing up for a leak; He told me to break down the back wall or the tiles and replace the whole thing with an expensive brand for my plumbing is too old; then I have to hire someone else to fix the tiles! He ended up with a $700 bill! Then he left with a bill to come and talk nonsense! I had another plumber coming the next day; this man made 2/3 trip to Home Depot to get the parts and only charged me $105 to fix the problem: Refuse or ask for a free estimate when your plumber wants business; There are still honest professionals out there!
“Revized reviews”
I was originally unhappy with Frank Gay Services with their response time. After talking to a customer experience coordinator, they made sure that my issues were resolved.
“We A job well done”
I recently had the pleasure of hiring Frank Gay service. The technician Ronny Pagano, Melville Santos and Hector Velazquez was not only punctual but also highly skilled and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issues with my AC unit and explained the necessary repairs in a clear and understandable manner. Throughout the service process, the technician exhibited a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to ensuring my air conditioner was running efficiently. They went above and beyond to address all my concerns and even provided valuable tips for maintaining the system in the long run. I was impressed by their friendly and courteous demeanor, making the whole experience pleasant and stress-free. The final cost of the service was reasonable, and there were no hidden fees or surprises. I highly recommend this technician for anyone in need of air conditioning service. Their professionalism, expertise, and exceptional customer service truly make them stand out. I won't hesitate to call them again in the future for any HVAC needs. A job well done!
“Don't let them start work before they file their permits.”
12/31/2021 - We contracted with Frank Gay to do a total Repipe of our home, and relocate/install a new water heater. ($10,000) Work started on 01/05/2022, and was completed on 01/06/22. Upon completion we were notified by the building dept that they never pulled the necessary plumbing and electrical permits for the work. After many calls and much aggravation, they finally assured me that all permits were in order and we were ready for inspection. Fast forward to today, and ALL of the work done by Frank Gay Services failed inspection, AND the inspector informed me that they never filed a permit for the electrical work. Now we are stuck with large holes in the walls that can't be patched until Frank Gay files the permits, fixes the problems, and the work passes inspection. Tip for consumers:Make sure they complete all of their paperwork before you let them start tearing your house apart. Service Value Quality
“Do not use”
We had them come out and replace an airconditioner on our home. Although they were more expensive than the other quote we got, they seeemed competent. Now a year later, I couldnt be more sorry... It has never worked correctly since they installed it. Every time we bring them back out to fix it...shocker... whatever the problem was just didnt happen to be under their waranty, so they charged us for that visit too. At this point I coult have paid their competitor to put in two air conditioners for what this one has cost me, and it still isnt working... This is far and away the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor and if youve had any experience there, you know how bad this must have been :( Tip for consumers:if you want to be happy, keep looking elsewhere for service Products used:Replacing an air conditioner Service Value Returns Quality
“The worst of Orlando Florida”
Frank Gay services has got to be the most expensive, most untrained, and just plain don't care about there customers in any way. I know of a home on Eggleston in Orlando that Frank Gay Services remodeled with it being full of black mold, they buttoned it up called it finished, then never said anything to the home owner Doug. If you know Doug on Eggleston in Orlando please have him contact me here.
“Trying to up charge a small job”
Just wanted a a Generator disconnect. Before they was gone they wanted to do $9600 in work. No thanks.
“NEVER USE THEM: Bait and Switch”
Called a number of leak detection companies and they all quoted me around $300. I settled on Frank Gay services, they were able to make it to my house sooner than others. On the phone I explained I have a leak somewhere and cant find it. My water bill was over $600 (for two ppl, no pool). There was a $39 fee to come out, no probably. When the technician arrived, I explained the situation and let him know that I have a crawl space and concrete slab as well as an irrigation system. I was then told it would be $259. Ok this seemed reasonable. Tech goes into the crawl space and confirms no leak there. He also does not believe it was in the irrigation system, which left the concrete slab. And then the bait and switch occurred. Now the price is $800. I refused this, knowing that $300 is the average for a FULL leak inspection. I would never use this company due to the unethical approach they take to bait and switch clients. FIND SOMEONE ELSE, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT. I have a leak detection company coming out to the house in 3 days and the cost for the FULL service $350. RIPE OFF ARTIST WORK HERE. MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE AND WILL SIMPLY DISCARD YOUR FRUSTRATION!
