fiver.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives fiver.com a medium trust score on the platform: 61. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Small Risk. Standard. Active.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this lower score? We came up with the 61 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to fiver.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Small Risk. Standard. Active. tags above. Long story short, please use caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning fiver.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between fiver.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of fiver.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of fiver.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. fiver.com is a somewhat safer website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether fiver.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether fiver.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, fiver.com.

Fiverr used to be great. Now it sucks! Do you really want your project entrusted to Lazy, Unprofessional, Children in third world countries?
Avoid at all cost. Scammed me out of my verification fee by having me pay this fee and then later not approving the seller account I created. Claiming I had more accounts, ignoring that had contacted them requesting to delete one as it was due to a simple mistake with login and emails, not an intent to scam or anything. They then reinstated the old account instead making me have 2 again, and I deleted it again. I asked them to approve the one I wanted to keep. Got some dumbo refusing completely and said it remained disapproved. They seem happy enough to support actual scammers though, as the place is full of them. I had someone stalk me in chat the moment I signed up trying to get me to give them my login details and identity.
I used a freelancer who had great reviews and great looking products on his page, but was utterly useless. I guess a lot of the reviews on the Fiverr site aren’t authentic. Fiverr made it easy for me to cancel the order but they didn’t refund my money - they gave me a credit note, so effectively the money has been lost.
I have no problem with the individuals who use Fiverr to provide services. What I have a problem with is that Fiverr is doing some shady things.Make sure to check your invoice from Fiverr. It seems that they charge 'sales tax' in addition to their fee. However, I will share with those who are not wise to the tax situation - sales tax, in most states, is not assessed on services. Make sure to contact your states Dept of Revenue to see whether Fiverr has a sales tax certificate to pay sales tax to your state. When Fiverr support has been questioned about this, their response is that they take the tax from "everyone" and that their system cannot be set up not to take the tax. And after sharing all that, they will not/cannot refund the money, advising you to talk to a tax consultant.I have filed a complaint with my state AG's office regarding and I would share that if you see the same on your invoice - you should consider filing as well.
If someone want to ask what’s the worst platform in the world, I should say fiverr is thewordt platform with people with wosrt mindset. May be owner of this platform. They only care about their business, they do not think about the people who are working there. Freelancers are kind of their employees and fiverr is making a living because of freelancers. But for fiverr freelancers are just like dogs. Dogs better. They do what they want, they make their own rules. They take down gigs as they want. Honestly, they do not think a bit about the sellers. Taking 20% from all orders. And even from Tips.😂What the. Promotted gigs. Pro seller. So many way to take money from freelancers. And all in all, no matter what, they take the buyers side always.
Fiverr customer support is the worst. If you work with a good person then all works fine but if buyer just want you to do his work and get refunded, he can. You can't do anything. I always asked if there is anything missing, I haven't done but there is no answer. They just cancelled my 1000+dollars order very easily. They only ignore my messages because they noticed that they were wrong. So I want to know if there is any other service on top of customer support that I can compain and discuss. If I am wrong with the order ( I proved my service with all online tools and can prove again ) then you can cancel all my orders as well but will you refund me if you are wrong by cancelling the order? If there will not be solution then I will also go to court with replies.
I was a fast growing, high rated seller on Fiverr. Without any warning they terminated my seller account, stating I violated their TOS. However I showed them proof that I didn’t violate the TOS as stated, since I brought the customer to Fiverr from my social media account. They keep ignoring me or giving me the same generic robotic response.Fivers practices continue to trend towards treating sellers, who all their revenue comes from horribly. I don’t see how they will possibly stay in business at this rate.
They were great, I earned good amount of money but one day their system to closed my account, fiver is quite uncertain for sellers.
terrible login UI and always telling me to reset my password. total scam with tons of legal and hidden fees barely even mentioned.
Like all other freelance sites, this one is absolutely filled to the brim with scammers. You'll get a lot of messages, but literally every single one is from a scammer. The one good thing is that Fiverr automatically deletes messages from these scammers, and some atleast are banned, but what does it really matter, they just make new accounts and keep sending the same messages.
95% of the messages are scamsUsing Fiverr as a seller you are going to be spammed by phishing messages that try to scam you with no option to report them. If the web was free I could understand this, but considering the huge commissions we pay as sellers is just feels like the platform has forgotten of the sellers.
Fiverr is a scam company that provides no security to its customers. I believe I have been one of the biggest victims of this. Firstly, I was scammed by a seller who never delivered the item I requested, yet the payment of $1000 was automatically accepted for Order Number FO61EAC42CF04.A few days later, I received a bulk of messages in my Fiverr inbox from five different sellers (scammers) pretending to be from Fiverr. They sent links and asked for my credit/debit card details. Now, knowing that this website is not trustworthy, I reached out to their support staff. Unfortunately, their response was simply an apology. The link and QR code I received were directly linked to the Fiverr website, which opened up my Fiverr account. Despite this, Fiverr takes no responsibility for any scams that happen. Please do not trust this website, as it offers no protection for its users. Stay away and save yourself the trouble!
Incompetent, sporadic and terrible company. Avoid. The developer I used and I had already paid for Milestone 3 gave up on my project. I started looking for a new developer and Fiverr blocked my account. I did not violate any of its T&Cs, I was simply looking for a replacement of the service. Since then I am trying to ask them to read the messages I sent to contractors, confirm that I acted in line with the T&Cs and reactivate my account. No response from them. They still owe me the money that they hold for Milestone 3!!
Customer service seems to be in on the scams. I paid for a 21 day organic promotion. The seller completed it within 2 days, in other words paid for views. I didn't look at fiverr as I wasn't expecting it to be done in less than 48 hours, so payment was automatically accepted. I complained to fiverr customer service who didn't see it was unethical. I'm going to get my money back via the bank.
Fiverr disabled my account without cause and blocked withdrawals despite promising access after three months. This has caused severe financial hardship. Please investigate.
My seller account got suspended without any warning. I was providing services of content writing, essay writing, and assignment assistance. a buyer sends me his academic details,I block him, and the very next day my gig was removed and my account was disabled. I have funds available in my account.
This company is a disgrace. I have worked so hard and have been doing so well and reached level 1 today. To my shocking surprise i received an email saying my account has violated terms and conditions and that my account will be suspended in the next 60 to 90 days. My gigs were Virtual assistant and product reviews. You can clearly see lots of level 3 and pro sellers offering these gigs. This company is also racist based on a platform of people of colour who's accounts have been taken down. They have suspended me without an explanation. I am extremely angry and disappointed. I shall be taking my talents. Do not sign up as a seller. Your wasting your time. The minute you start making your hard end money, the employees get jealous and start suspending accounts. Shame on them
This website is a haven for scammers. A project was due yesterday. Today received a status update marked as "delivered," though the designer asked for an extension, but gave no actual delivery date. If I terminate the project, there is no option to rate a designer who fails to deliver, no opportunity to warn other potential clients.
I recently had a floor plan done by Mithila at Fiveer. Whilst, as expected, a few corrections were needed to finalise the plan, it took a few days for the job to be done to my absolute satisfaction. As such, I can highly recommend. Thank you, Therese
Wow, wow, wow. What an appalling experience!Tried to sign up with this company as a seller. Account was declined, no explanation. Declined, decision can not be changed!Never come across such an unhelpful, arrogant company in my life. They reviewed my messages and reinstated me. I've given them an extra star for now, but watch this space.

“The WORST FREELANCER SITE ON THE INTERNET”

If I could leave minus100 starts I would. When you first sign up you are attacked by hundreds of scammers. Then when you do get a gig you discover this is the most horrendous freelancer site ever. The withhold your earnings for 2 weeks, then when you have to verify to release payment, there is a glitch and you didn't receive a verification code, you cannot wait a few minutes and do it again, instead they withhold the payment another 24 hours? They also deduct over 20 percent of your earnings, so if your payment is 130, you get 100 USD. They still have my payment and I cannot get it out. This site should be taken down. Tip for consumers:Don't use this site, its full of scams then the site itself scams hardworking freelancers out of their money Products used:I was a seller not a buyer Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Mike Oliver Pakistan”

I hired Mike Oliver from Pakistan on 9/14 with the agreement the work would be done in 10 days. He tricked me into pre-paying by telling me he would be my personal designer so I paid him and he has never done the work. He is a scam artist do not hire him. Fiverr has no actual customer service available, only AI. I have sent countless emails that have gone largely unanswered. Service Value Quality

“Unfair Cancellation of Orders and Withheld Earnings”

I have been a loyal Fiverr seller for 7 months and have successfully delivered high-quality work to my clients, totaling $2,500 in earnings. Recently, I faced a major issue that deeply affected my trust in Fiverr's platform. Six of my completed orders, worth $800 in total, were canceled without any fault of my own. These projects had already been approved and rated 5 stars by my client. Despite this, the funds were deducted from my account. Fiverr support initially emailed me stating that the amount would be refunded, but later reversed this decision without a clear explanation. When I contacted support, I received a vague response stating that the refund process had been canceled. However, I met all the requirements for these earnings. My client is also willing to confirm their satisfaction with my work, yet the platform refuses to resolve the issue. This situation feels unfair and unprofessional, as it penalizes me for circumstances beyond my control. If my account hadn't had enough funds, Fiverr would have had to cover the refunds themselves. Why is this responsibility placed solely on me? I urge Fiverr to take responsibility for this situation, as these actions damage the platform's credibility and trustworthiness for freelancers. As a seller, I worked hard to provide quality service and ensure customer satisfaction, and this should not result in financial loss for me. I hope Fiverr resolves this issue soon. Otherwise, I will be forced to take further action, including sharing this experience across other platforms and seeking legal advice. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“BEWARE”

The seller conned me into closing out my order and did no work. I contacted Fiverr and they are just giving me the run around, they keep asking me the same questions just waiting for me to give up, they arent trying to help me. They asked for pictures and video of the issues and they didnt even look at it. BEWARE OF THESE VENDORS ON HERE! If you have a problem dont expect Fiverr to help you! “Scammed By Top Rated On Fiverr”

I chose Fiverr to produce my music and selected a top-rated freelancer with all 5-star reviews. I placed my order, expecting to receive a professionally mixed and mastered final song file as promised. Instead, I faced constant delays and excuses. The freelancer kept asking for more time, citing personal issues, and eventually convinced me to complete the order without delivering the file, promising it would come later. Because he said he needs money badly and he is in crises. If i complete order would be easier for him to work and complete Despite repeated requests, I never received anything. I opened a case on Fiverr and left feedback. The freelancer begged for another chance, and Fiverr suggested I work it out with him. I reluctantly agreed, but after 10 more days, the freelancer blatantly refused to deliver anything, knowing that the claim date had passed. He even taunted me, saying that after working with Fiverr for five years, he knew I wouldn't get a refund or the product. I provided Fiverr with evidence, including screenshots of the open dispute and their team's advice to resolve it directly with the freelancer. Yet, they refused to help, stating the claim date had expired. I was left with nothing – no product, no refund, and no support from Fiverr. This was the worst experience ever. I feel scammed out of my money, and Fiverr's handling of the situation was appalling. Products used:Music Production Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“My Fiverr disabled my seller account 3 times X 90 Days - Fiverr's Revenge Game”

My seller account was on hold or something before 5 months and fiverr asked me to wait for 90 days and withdraw my money $400+ in my account. I could not withdraw my money last week so I raised a ticket on fiverr and fiverr didn't reply at all. Hence, I had to post a review on trustpilot. Within a few hours, my account was permanently disabled and fiverr wants to me to want for 90 more days. Isn't this illegal that fiverr playing some kind of revenge game? Fiverr should be taken down. Insane site run by religious freaks, who allow sellers to harass about Jesus, then ban you if you don't want that. And then steal your money. These psychos belong behind bars. Insane. Tip for consumers:This site should be shut down. Products used:Assistants Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Biggest Scam Ever!”

Biggest scam I have ever seen. Fees are applied everywhere you turn. Be aware, you only going to get a tiny proportion of the actual amount, by the time you withdraw, plus you will have to wait at least "10 years" to be able to withdraw your money. Customer service don't exist at Fiverr, its like their run by 2 rats in a bedroom. Stay away from these scammers, there are plenty better then them, use Guru, Toptal, PeoplePerHour, Freelancer, Truelancer, Outsourcely. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Thieves, crooks”

Never leave money in your account. They make it hard to get funds out and make you wait, wait and wait. I suspect they make money keeping funds way longer than needed in their account. We are busy sir. How many millions per day, interest, do they keep like this? I guess Israeli legal systems don't care. Horrible experience dealing with this platform. Service Value Quality

“Lower quality of seller”

I've been a buyer on this platform for 7 years and I am fed up with the deteriorating quality of the sellers, and I've had enough of falling victim to scam after scam from fake offers. It's become a daily frustration, and the lack of action from Fiverr is unacceptable. The negligence in monitoring and maintaining the integrity of the marketplace is driving buyers away. It's time to wake up and realize that if you don't prioritize the improvement of seller standards, you will lose your entire buyer base. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Brush off Answers with Support”

According to support agent Milo. I can give my freelancer a 1 star review and then ask the freelancer to do extra work for free so that I will remove the review. This is totally allowed on fiverr. No need to thank for the tip. "Best!" Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Scammed”

Worst service I have used due to the secure payments 😂 I made a purchase a few days ago and my card got scammed a few hours after for $200. They hi light how secure their payment platform is but it's not. It was lucky I blocked my card and only $200 was taken. I have been messaging the customer support team and they are aware the issue from their side and offered to reinstate me the $10 for the service I purchased from them but not willing to reinstate me the money taken from their unsecure website. Please be careful using their website and don't get caught out like I did.

“WASTE OF TIME”

If you live in the US, this site is basically completely worthless. In a nutshell, people in 3rd World countries use it to provide services for a fraction of the cost that people in the US charge because their cost of living and exchange rate is so much cheaper. So it is literally impossible to get work if you live in the US. Fiverr also deactivates your account if you don't manage to get work anyway. Do not waste your time.

“Reallly unpleasant experience”

*Edit- I was able to get my money refunded and put back into my paypal account; for this, I improved the rating. * I picked an artist based on the image he had with his profile that demonstrated his level of expertise/work. What he offered after I paid was not even close; I requested to cancel the order and get a refund. He begged me to give him a chance to make it right. I really did not want to continue but I acquiesced and gave him a chance. I was right he still tried to beg me but eventually agreed to cancel my order. There are no features on the website show me how to get to my money or communicate with anyone. Links don't seem to work. The email I received from Fiverr did have instruction i was able to follow and received my refund within just hours of requesting. Tip for consumers:Request a lot of samples of their work. Ask if you can see what what material was provided that they worked from. It's extremely difficult to get your money back - it's left in the system as a credit. Products used:I signed up for an artist to create a cartoon rendering of me with my dogs in my sports car that I can use for marketing. I'm so upset with the outcome.

“Fiverr for freelancer”

This is the easiest way to get project done. Outsourcing your weakness can save you and your company a lot of valuable time and help you focus on your strengths. The pricing is super reasonable considering there are people from all over the world competing for your money / attention. You can build long term relationships and get pricing down if you continue to work with sellers.

“Tough Love”

Fiverr is extremely strict when it comes to following the rules there. It is expected that the terms and conditions are thoroughly read and that the rules are abided by. I have seen a lot of people complaining about the partial treatment in favour of the buyers so I'd like to address that. I have had a few issues with buyers as a seller there and I do not hesitate to contact support. I have experienced wonderful service and treatment from them and though the replies may be a bit generic, consistent follow-up usually gets you the answer you are looking for. I'd advise sellers to reread their terms and to thread the site with caution because of ill-minded buyers (that are also on every other site). In conclusion, Fiverr has been very helpful to me both financially and knowledge-wise (I am a college student, the extra money really helps). I hope my review helps and clears some doubts and questions you may have. Tip for consumers:Always contact the seller/buyer before ordering. For a decent experience, communication and instinct matter. If you feel uneasy or see red flags get another seller/buyer! Products used:I am a writer there. I have purchased writing services from other sellers there. Service Value Quality

“Fiverr.com Sales”

I use these people for many types of advertising including postings on Backpage and Craigslist. They are absolutely great and very cheap. You can't get anyone to do work like this for the price. JOHN S.

“The product is pretty good, but customer service is a whole different matter.”

I've ordered about 8 "gigs"... had some really good work done and have only had one bad gig that totally didn't deliver what they had promised, and I gave them a correspondingly bad review. However, reaching out to Customer Service for a different issue has been a major pain in the@#$. They take a VERY long time to respond and then finally come up with an answer that doesn't even match your question.

“Great way to make a quick $5 as long as you have something...”

Great way to make a quick $5 as long as you have something of value to offer and it's in demand. The worst thing about this site though, is that when you do successfully make a sale, they place your payment on hold for 2 weeks! After that you can then withdraw through paypal, but keep in mind Fiverr does keep $1 so you really only get $4

“I've bought and sold on Fiverr for the last 3 years...”

I've bought and sold on Fiverr for the last 3 years and find it very reliable. It is so much easier to use than any other freelance site I can find, and a lot less expensive on both sides! There are a few minor bugs and of course there is always someone trying to scam someone else (EVERY website has this, people!) but I've learned to work with the flow and enjoy the extra income and the extremely cheap business and personal services! Tip for consumers:DO YOUR RESEARCH! Don't just order from any little Joe or Jane, look at their ratings, feedback, samples, response time, grammar, and spelling to judge the seller. DON'T OFFER SCAMS! If you are trying to make fast money online, do it with your own skills and abilities, not with some software to make some quick bucks and not actually delivering anything valuable! “Love this microjobs site!”

Fiverr.com is the site where one can order or complete various tasks for different amounts of money. The prices range from $5 to hundreds of dollars, and the tasks can be anything: writing blog entries, translating, creating company logos, advertising a product, or creating a personal postcard for someone's loved one. The website is perfect for those who need part-time jobs, but one can also make a good amount of money on Fiverr alone. The downside of this website is that you have to wait for 15 days to withdraw your funds. Also, Fiverr takes 1/5 of your payment as a fee. So if your service costs $5, you will get only $4 dollars back. It's nice to keep it in mind when deciding on a price. This is the only reason why I am giving this website 4 stars, and not 5. The fee could be a bit lower, and the withdrawal period should definitely be shorter.

“Good service overal”

Had few jobs done, some delivered total rubbish, which I asked to be reviewed and amended. Others delivery very good quality jobs. The more expensive are not always the best ones. So I never choose them and always start with small tasks. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Worst Customer Service Ever”

There are some incredibly talented providers to be found on FIVERR and some great prices, but if you want customer service or a company that cares what your thoughts are as a customer, you DON'T WANT FIVERR. They already take a significant cut of the money you pay including if you try and tip your provider and then they make money sending you AD MAILS by promoting providers which have paid them. I have done approximately 150 jobs with FIVERR providers and as such they have made good money off of me. I have emailed, chatted and tried calling to ask that they do not send me these ad emails. On average I get five a week, which is oever 250 pollution emails annually in MY BOX THAT I AM PAYING TO USE...they won't even respond. So in short to heck with them, I will look for other provider like possibly UPWORK and spend some time every day posting so that everyone knows what an awful operation they are. Providers there are GREAT but the company itself sucks hard Service Value Quality

“There are no any protection towards the sellers.”

If you are a buyer/ seller on fiverr who reading this, I want to tell you that please move away from Fiverr because it is now filled with scammers and frauds. I had my account for nearly six years and I was an active seller for past 4 months. Suddenly fiverr decided to close my account by saying that "Services that you offer harm the integrity of our marketplace and violate our Community Standards". All I have done is reporting a scammer who asked me to contact them on Telegram. I was an AI artist on Fiverr and that scammer messaged me and asked me to contact them on telegram because they want my services regarding a project related to naked images. I confronted them by saying I am not willing to work with scammers and I reported their messages. After like 1 hour, I received an email saying that "my account has been disabled ". All i did was reporting this shi*ty scammer. Idiots who work in fiverr decided to close my account instead. In summery following are the issues with Fiverr according my 6 years of experience, 1. There is no any protection towards the seller. 2. Sellers who offer good quality services either left this platform or their accounts got disabled without any reason/warning. 3. It is now filled with low quality sellers who are willing to run away with buyers' money. 4.If you are a seller, any buyer with bad intentions can exploit the system and have their work done for free. As of now they can even leave a bad review after that. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Prepare to be spammed”

I needed a flyer made more appealing and found someone who did a good job quickly. There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below. button remove data online

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.

Are You the Owner of fiver.com?

If you own fiver.com, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").

When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:

* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).

* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).

* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
