fivebelow.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives fivebelow.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 77.4. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Standard. Fair.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this above-average score? We came up with the 77.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to fivebelow.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Known. Standard. Fair. tags above. Long story short, we deem this website low risk, but you still need to pay attention to details and use common sense when engaging in online transactions of any kind. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning fivebelow.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between fivebelow.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of fivebelow.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of fivebelow.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. fivebelow.com is a low-risk website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether fivebelow.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether fivebelow.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, fivebelow.com.

Decent store with cool things but got overcharged for an item. The item said $5 but they took $15. I noticed it on the receipt and they gave $10 back.
NiaLetta is a manager at Five Below in Greensboro NC at the Wendover location. She is a delight and helped me make purchase decisions. She was so patient and welcoming in that store. I will return just because she took the time to walk me through the store to assist in my purchase decision. She is amazing and deserves recognition. Thank you NiaLetta! -Dr. T.
Why if you have 1 item do you have to wait for an attendant to check you out? What is the purpose of having 2 registers if you can’t use it? The lady in front of me had 50+ items and I had to wait for the attendant to check out each one. Meanwhile the line behind me grew to 4 more people. I should be able to show her my one item and do it myself or show her my receipt on the way out. Something is better than the way it is know. Personally it’s humiliating. Are there not cameras in the registers like everywhere else? 5 Below should be more concerned about the people in the store stealing because there’s no workers out there ( observed a young man stuffing his clothes) than watching the people trying to pay for there items. People are going to start walking out if they have to wait too long. Why aren’t there more workers?? No one is on the floor to help and now there’s only one person to checkout while you wait. It’s ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Worst treatment by staff I've ever experienced at the Carl T Jones location in Huntsville, AL. If you want to be very blatantly stalked like you're trying to steal something by completely rude staff members while by all means shop here. Otherwise I'd take my business elsewhere. I've been a loyal customer for years but I will not be back. Completely ridiculous.
Absolute garbage. Their junk electronic products dont work. Just drive by and throw a $5 bill in the store and save yourself the trouble of parking and going inside. Dollar stores are like Nordstrom compared to this ripoff.
Sadly, customer service people are not trained well. I called the Joe Battle store since I rather call and ask if an item is available instead of driving miles to the store. The lady that answered was horrible and very rude. I felt like she was doing me a favor by just answering the phone.
I go to the five and below on 1451 metropolitan Ave in parkchester and the employees are awful! One girl is always glaring at me and she sent security to shake me down because she thought I was stealing. They didn’t even apologize for falsely accusing me of theft. It’s a cheap ass store and I have a good paying job tf do I need to steal??
Tyre was so kind & considering, multitasking( working with 2 customers at one time at Five Below!! The staff was professional in a friendly manner. Tyre went Beyond & Above in showing how to use the produces I purchased for my phone. I could not be happier with the results I experienced today. I will recommend this store to many!! ☺️
6 hour wait for a pick up order of 2 items is insane! I will never do a pick up order from this store again. I could’ve been there and back home in 20 mins had I known it would literally take the whole 6 hours and my items STILL aren’t ready to be picked up. I wanted to cancel my items but of course you aren’t allowed to. Lesson learned never doing pick up here again.
When I place my order they took my money right away. Said order went through and will be able to pick it up the next day. Next day email said order fulled. Next hour email said order canceled without telling me why!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!
My fiancée was sexually groped at the register by one of the employees acting like he was concerned about shop lifting. He stayed with us to the end then reached over top of my fiancé to touch the check out screen ( we went to self checkout to get away and he followed)pushing his penis into her backside. I said something and we both left. I reported it and five below doesn’t care
Will never order from the lake Walden square in plant city Florida. I was basically told that online orders are not relevant. I placed an order last night never received the confirmation to pick up so I called and that’s what the manager told me. They just didn’t pick the order because they were too busy. At this point that location shouldn’t have online ordering. Never doing that again especially at that location.
Our family loves this Five Below shop in Mayfield hts, ohio, shop center Eastgate. It's always kept clean, employees are great, stock shelves, and card secrion is wonderful. I want to really give Darryl and Ashley a shout out for being truly amazing hard wirkers always with smiles.I stopped in on sunday, December 17th and it was a great experience. Thankyou!!!
Worst store ever, I REFUSE to go in there again, never was greeted and tags were on nothing I had to go back 3 times to get stuff with tags on them, products are junk and not worth the $5 or beyond, the employees are awful, the man working at checkout asked me if I was paying with cash and I said yes so he directed me to this exact machine and as I was proceeding to help my younger sister check out the man told me that that machine I was at didn’t take cash… 🙄 then he was helping customers at the self checkout 🤷🏻♀️ you know where they do it THEMSELVES… After he told me the machine didn’t work he told me to go to the checkout counter and he would be with me in a minute; 8 minutes later he asked me to go get the lady in the back so she can fix the checkout machine. That’s your job… Not mine 😠 so my sister and I walked back and turned around and left. We walked out empty handed and I will never go in there again. I don’t ever complain because I feel for most people dealing with rude customers but asking me to do your job just no. Don’t go into the Fairmount fair 5 below
I went to the Five below in bastrop Texas today and this place was disgusting. Nothing was set outside like it normally was I wasn’t sure the place was open. I walked inside there was stuff all over the floor boxes everywhere trash everywhere and 1 employee sitting on his butt behind the register and not another employee anywhere. I probably won’t go back to this store.
Just horrible. I received a gift without a receipt or gift receipt as most people won’t supply. The headphones do not work and five below wouldn’t allow me to exchange for the same or identical pair of same or equal value. I called corporate and they confirmed. So basically they sell cheap, defective products that are no good and won’t allow exchanges which is BS. Shame on this corporation.
I go to five below several times a week. The last few times that I have went, an employee has rushed over to ring my items up. This seemed fine to me except for yesterday. I went to get some gifts and had a lot of items. I get up to the self-checkout and start scanning and an employee runs over saying that I’m not allowed to checkout myself. She had no personality and was rude. I felt like a common criminal. Meanwhile another woman was checking her items out just fine. I have no issue with an employee watching me to make sure I ring everything up. However, the way she treated my daughter and I was very rude. I am not a thief and just because some people are doesn’t mean you need to treat everyone that way. She also stated that it was her first day.So the issue I had was her attitude and the way she treated me. If you don’t trust certain customers because they are a different race than you need to not be so obvious about it. She clearly targeted me because I am a different race than her. I have a job that required me to pass and FBI background check so clearly I am not a criminal.
Just left the 5 below on alpine street, Comstock park, well needless to say I found the paint by colors I was looking for! When I went to the kiosks, there was 1 worker and a customer. I started to check out, the lady who works there (Michelle, fat blonde, miserable looking hag.) told me very rudely “it’s associates check out”. I replied and asked her “why?” She said that’s how corporate wants it. I went ahead and just started scanning my stuff, she finished with the other customer and started telling me again “it’s associates check out”. Again I replied “why? When did this come in affect”, thinking to myself that’s absurd, on top of them being understaffed and with a fair amount of customers. Plus I was in a rush. Anyway she started not only being extremely super rude, grabbed my stuff and started doing it herself. Kept telling me the same thing, and I got frustrated and told her, hurry up and do your s$&t done so I can get out of there. (Meanwhile other customers were looking at both of us with such shocking face expressions on their faces). The old hag Michelle started cussing at me even louder, so more people started to notice. I asked her where the manager is, she said very angry “I AM THE MANAGER” I said I want your bosses number. Which got attention of another worker there, who was also a manager. She came over as (Michelle) was yelling and being rude, and asked her to leave. So she did and the lady who came over, asked me what happened, not knowing she was another manager I started telling her everything that just happened. Her name is is Kris, she was very sweet, polite and very friendly. After she got done helping me out, she gave me the regional manager’s number, I left and thanked her. I walked to my car and called the regional manager, who’s name is Ben jackson, he hung up on me the first time when I asked him if he was the regional manager, I called him back, he said he is on the other line and will call me back. So as of now I’m still waiting on a call back. 5 below corporation train your staff better please.
One of the employees at the Davenport, IA W Kimberly Rd location was very rude. Followed us around in the store and dismissive when I asked a question. I left my bag from another store up front while we looked around for that reason that we wouldn't be accused of anything. She has long dark hair and wore glasses. We did nothing to be treated that way and it's sad that you have people like this working for your company because we actually like the store and shopping there.
Ms Amanda from Holmdel NJ (732-671-3282) 2/4, 11:15am.She was so patient, gracious and helpful. She displayed ALL the qualities a great 5 Below manager should have following your vision and mission statements originally set. Please Reward.

“Unpleasant”
At self check your upfront cashier, made me so uncomfortable, standing shoulder to shoulder with me,I told her to back up,and she don't, she goes to Reach over me dam near in my face,to push the rating button on the screen and hit 10,well 10 my $#*! that was uncalled for.I would have NOT rated sandusky ohio store a 10. Tip for consumers:Cashier need to learn space no need to stand shoulder to shoulder with customers trying to check there own stuff out, then stand there stare at you. Then after paying at self check out the Cashier pushing my rates button,NO hell NO don't EVER reach over in someone face.what the hell is wrong with some of your help in there.was she new. “Lashes.”
So today i got some self adhesive lashes. I tried to attach them to my eyelashes, but they seemed to not stick. I tried and tried and they continued to fall off. This package said no glue needed but clearly I needed glue. I would not recommend these thank you! Service Value Quality
“Terrible service”
I was at the check out paying cash, the register wouldn't accept cash so I pushed the button for help. I stood there for 10 minutes an after that time I went looking for a worker an no one was to be found. Went to the back office an all the employees were just standing there. Do better with your service to customers! There should always be a worker in the front to help customers. Tip for consumers:DO BETTER!!!!!! “No longer $5 below.”
Most the store is over $5. I went in today and realized uou mifht aa well go to real store. Totally misleading. It's time for a new name...
“Horrific customer service via shopping online.”
I made a purchase on July 17th through Five Below's website for three items intended as gifts for my daughter's upcoming birthday. Despite FedEx indicating that the packages had been delivered to my address, they are nowhere to be found. My attempts to seek assistance from FedEx were unavailing. Subsequently, my interaction with a customer service representative named April at Five Below left much to be desired. In addition, a separate Walmart package also scheduled for delivery via FedEx today went missing. However, my experience with Walmart's customer service was quite positive, as they promptly offered me a refund or replacement without attributing any blame to me for the missing packages. I want to emphasize that I took great care to ensure that my delivery address was accurate. April's response, in which she stated that while they would refund the money, I would not be able to place future orders for delivery to my address and would have to use an alternate one, was not satisfactory. This proposed solution presents a significant logistical challenge, as I cannot order items for delivery to an address other than my own. Please refer to the email below for further details. April (Five Below) Jul 20,2024, 10:53 PM EDT Hello Kaytee, Thank you for sharing this with us! At this point, can only assume that your package is lost or perhaps stolen. You will be issued a refund today that will be applied to your original form of payment. Please allow up to 7 business days for this to reflect in your account. In the meantime, if your package does show up, please let us know. Due to this incident, we ask that you use an alternate address for any future orders that you place as we will no longer be able to accept orders to this address. Thank you and our apologies for the inconvenience. April Five Below Customer Relations I will NEVER purchase products from this brand again. Just horrific customer service. Tip for consumers:No. Products used:Unfortunately, none of the items were received as they were lost due to a misdelivery in the shipping process. Service Value Shipping Returns
“Treated like a shoplifter”
Carl T Jones, Huntsville, AL Worst treatment by staff I've ever experienced. I've been a loyal customer for years but I will not be back.Completely ridiculous. Service
“Not a sweet and simple little store anymore”
Almost everything is designed with lgbtq or witchy, or blasphemous things. Will never step my foot in this store again. It used to be different. So sad. Value Quality
“Not good”
They never have what they show online. Today I asked the girl why was a different price then online. She said because it's an online deal. So in store I would have to pay the full 5 dollars while online They would pay 2 dollars and fifty cents. Also why must they stock the shelves when I am trying to Shop so now they are in my way. Also brought a journal today that said it glows in the dark so not true. Also they always short change you so count your money before you leave the store. “RACISM AT IT'S BEST”
From my experience, the Five Below in Temple Texas does not welcome people of color. On 5/3/24 I went there to purchase a few items for my grand-daughter's birthday party. First of all, no matter where I go, I always pay close attention to my surroundings, with that being said. Looking around the store I noticed that I was the only person of color in the store, but I proceeded to start my shopping anyway. When I was done with shopping, I proceeded to the self-checkout counter only to have the cashier(D) snatch up my basket and begin scanning my items. I was shocked when she snatched my basket, I wasn't expecting that. I noticed that the customer to the left of me was using the self-checkout and so was the customer to the right of me. I looked around at both self-checkout's and it dawned on me that they were both Caucasian and I was the only person of color in the store. I questioned the cashier (D) as to why I was not allowed to use the self-checkout(D) she stated that the customer to my left only had one item and that the customer to my right had begun scanning her items before (D) she could stop her. REALLY! I politely expressed my outrage and left the store. When I returned to my vehicle it dawned on me that I had just given a racist person not only my business, but my money. I returned to the store and returned the items and demanded a refund. I will not support a racist person nor a racist business. A thief does not wear a sign nor a color. That was my first time going to Five and Below and that will be my last time. We need to put these people and businesses on blast when they blatantly discriminate against people of color. Please pay close attention to the businesses that your money is supporting. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Front cashiers”
Greenleaf plaza in Philadelphia older woman who works in the morning ok she needs not to work front ion mbe some where else in the store, you can't tell me you have to scan my purchase and then someone else starts to scan there purchase and not tell them to wait till she finishes with me, as I have to wait at one point, what u need to do is stand back and watch, I will never go to this 5 below again. And she is not good customer service. I spends a lot because I have grandchildren and I will not have someone standing over me or be animent to scan my purchase but don't take my money, if I need your assistance I will ask, u need to walk around because I see people take things and walk.
“This is a review for the location in Miami, on Kendal and 106th street. They are far the best”
This location is far the best I have been to, I actually return it to often. Not only they have most merchandise but the staff rating is 5 stars, the guy at the front who might be the manager he has been there for long because always see him has the best attitude, always willing to help, no matter what he makes sure you leave pleased and happy and with what you were looking for. Honestly all the staff there is a pleasure to talk to. I wish all the other stores in the are had this type of customer service, it does make a a difference. Will definitely continue to go shop there!
“Sad. New store. All self checkout... wow! I felt so special not!”
How sad... you open up a new store and there isn't one REAL PERSON register to allow people to ask any questions to to possibly get thanked for stopping in the new store and most importantly... i had to wait for help with no one in the store to have a worker not be able to scan an item that she said never scans and I ended up putting it back. You guys lose I'm never coming back. Pathetic customer experience... sadly businesses forget a business is all about the customer.
“I'm over the website! The store was much better in my opinion.”
My daughter talked me into going in this store for the first time. We actually had an amazing experience that day. I was very impressed with the items we got, the price, and the quality of those items. So, a few days later, decided to order some things online. Everything I added to my cart was available and I paid immediately after. Waited a little longer than I do with other companies, for my items to come in the mail. I open the box, and there were multiple items missing. I paid $8 for shipping. If I would've known that I would've went to the store. I ordered online because I wanted a few things they didn't have in my store. How do they let you pay for items then sell them to someone else later on!? Never got an email about it either. I talked to the "online chat" and they did refund me my shipping fee and the items that were missing so at least that's fair. Just disappointing to say the least. Tip for consumers:If you shop online just keep in mind, you might not get the things you wanted. Expect to pay $7.98 in shipping. If you don't get all your items message the online chat and ask for your shipping fees to be refunded. “Bad service”
I was disgusted by how I was treated at checkout. All the self checkouts were "closed". We had to check out with a very unfriendly disgruntled young ginger girl with freckles who rolled her eyes right after I paid and left
“Product that has no demo nor sales knows about details of it”
Saw a scope for bird watching. Good price, look nice. However, the box does not specify minimum viewing distance. Ask the sales associate, he has no idea nor even bother to search info from the box. Store manager inform me that product can not return either. So I ask the manager, if I buy it, I may stuck with it? She said: yes! This is a joke!
“No Words”
What is the point of having self check out machines if they will not be used? I had to leave my purchases at the register and walk out or be late for work, all because the one cashier was incredibly slow. And waited till she had 3 people waiting in line to call for help. My suggestion, either reopen the self check outs and have someone nearby to make sure people pay for their purchases before leaving. Or; training your cashiers to not take 10 minutes to check one person out.
“Self-checkout”
I used to shop at five below frequently; school shopping, holidays, for work. I will not return unless they get rid of the self- checkout only option. I understand the need to tighten up but customer service is not the answer! I feel that is disrespectful to the customers, who can just as easily spend their money elsewhere. AND I WILL!
“Employee Stalking Customer”
While shopping, in the Columbia, SC location, I noticed an elder employee constantly following me while I shopped. At first I didn't think anything of it, but then she constantly showed up around every corner that I was. She was also very rude as I checked out. It was an embarrassing experience for me. I will definitely shop online from now on. Service Value Quality
“Ridiculous”
From the minute I walked into the Cicero, NY store I was being watched and followed. Every corner I turned same girl watching. I even called her on it. Kudos for training staff on stealing. Total turn off to us who are honest and in our mid 50s. Might wanna train better. Absolutely ridiculous and a bit too much. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Customer Service”
I have left 5 messages for customer service. They have yet to reach back out to me. I will call every day until someone returns my calls. The Rockwall Texas store has horrible unprofessional employees. I was told if shirts did not fit that I could exchange or return. Now I am told No by multiple very young employees.
“Zero if you're lucky. I've waited 30 min for the wrong order here as the only customer”
Forst off I have been inside you're west oc location almost everyday to buy goods since I work next door. I say outside the business nextdoor (as I was off amd it'd behind my business. The manager of 5 below which in 3 months this is my forst time seeing her actually work) she threatened to call the cops on me please let me know what is illegal aBout sitting outside my place of work? She said I was a $#*! and had to leave. Please tell me hoe that's ok so I don't hire. Lawyer to sue?
“Horrible customer service!”
Better pray that you never have a problem. They make it not very easy to get a hold of customer service probably cuz they don't want to hear the nastiness coming out of people's mouths about the crap they have to put up with when shopping with this company. All they do is email you back and blow you off like you don't matter. Unfortunately that's how it goes when you deal with low value companies such as this. The customers always right or so I've always been told but not when it comes to these guys. According to them you're always wrong and there's not a damn thing they can do to help you. Unfortunately I had to give them at least one star cuz you can't give them less than that. Tip for consumers:You'd be better off going to Dollar Tree cuz for the same cheap crap. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and really am considering never shopping with them again in store or otherwise. Trying to get items shipped to your home are just too much for them to handle. Their website screwed up my order and ruined everything and they didn't do a damn thing to fix it. Now they expect me to pay double shipping to get the rest of my order. Absolutely disappointed in every aspect Products used:A water jug and a small rug
“Extraordinary assistance”
I went in to Five Below to buy a cell phone screen saver! I had just left the cell phone store! My screen was cracked! Found out that my phone was not cracked! It was my screen saver that was cracked! I had purchased it at Five Below so I went immediately to Five Below to purchase a new one because the cell phone store wanted me to purchase a screen saver for $45. As I was checking out the sales clerk, Christopher Banks helped me at the self check out and made sure that the cover I was buying was the correct size! The one I purchased was not a full screen like my previous one, but they did not have any full screen covers at this time! Christopher went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of! I didn't have my phone with me, but he waited while J went to my car to get it so J could make sure it fit! He was very friendly and did say hello to customers entering the store and said Welcome to Five Below! I did share with his supervisor what a great employee he is!
“Condescending”
I walked in to pick up an online order. Let me remind you I never ordered here as it's for a gift. I walked in and I stood there waiting for the cashier to stop ringing up the customer. There was a line but I didn't think me asking a question would make this a problem. I simple waited till she was done with them and asked where do I pick up a pick up order? She looked at me with the rudest fact and said um you can get in the back of the line. And rolled her eyes at me. I felt completely embarrassed because there were so many people looking at me like I was stupid. I then finally get through the line just for them to tell me they canceled the order because they no longer have it in stock. But online it says they had 5. So not only did I get treated like I was dumb I got to drive 20 miles for them to tell me they just canceled it. I placed my order at 2 am the night before. There was plenty of time for them to cancel it so I could get a email…! This store might need some help. Service Value
“DISCRIMINATION AT 5 BELOW”
Do NOT shop at this store. I went into my local 5 Below establishment, just to find that they were OUT of furry venom black panther funko-pops. And I was like, "racist much?" How could they do this. They should NOT get away with this, why do they not stock up knowing it's black history month? This is also so un cool and is NOT very supportive over the furry community. Way to go 5 below. You just lost a customer. Service

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
