Stay away from Fidelity. I have not received my withdrawals from their services for three months running. Their customer service is very unpleasant when you try to resolve your issues with them. For this reason, I am grateful for Solic Unity's prompt and excellent customer service in responding to our issues. I will not recommend their services here.
Fidelity has a third party that handles the debit card . Fidelty is not a bank. The Bank of NY in Willington DE is the company Fidelity uses to handles mine and others direct deposits, debit transactions. I have never had a problem until January 2024. They make withdrawals that are not mine, then refuse to refund even though i have proof., I called the US Attorneys office who sent me to anohter state agency. I will see what happens. There are alot of us on here with bad reviews for this company. This company needs a class action suit with everyone who goes through this .
Unacceptable deposit timelines for funds to clear. It's around 16 days with an established account. Online website made no indication of this delay when approving the transfer. Will be closing all of my Fidelity accounts when my funds clear in 3 weeks.
Fidelity gives warnings when you buy a security on unsettled funds that if you sell the same day it will be a trade violation causing 90 days of restricted usage of the account, but Fidelity DOES NOT WARN YOU ON THE SELL. You are expected to keep it in mind, and it would be so easy for them to warn on the sell, but they don't. I will move as much as I can away from Fidelity.
They are holding my mobile check deposit for almost a month. This is ridiculous and they say because of recent fraud at Citi bank that was a viral tick tock video about a banking hack. Idk what they talking about and I did not have anything to do with that!!! But I am being punished because I can't have access to my own money!!! No good reason for a check from wells fargo to take 19 days to clear. That is the biggest crock of u no what.
I was excited to use Fidelity but never was able to because they could never verify my bank account after several attempts. The rest of the platform was confusing and clunky. Stay away from them if you can.
My withdrawals were not processed for a long time and I kept on reporting till I realized I had options, check my display picture. They saved my life
I recently deposited a check for $2k via mobile deposit. The next day, I discovered Fidelity placed a hold on my deposit until 22 days later. I spoke with a customer service rep, who informed me that, because of recent fraud, Fidelity is placing extended holds on deposits for all customers. (Wire transfers are an exception and have no hold.) The rep had no knowledge of when the policy for extended holds would end. Meanwhile, I have deposited over 100 checks with Fidelity, have never deposited a bad check, and have $180,000 in assets in all my accounts. The rep also told me that Fidelity provided notification of the extended holds on the mobile app. However, I never saw such notification. Anyway, something this important should be sent out via email to customers. Many businesses simply cannot function with fund holds that are over 3 weeks.
This is the worst among companies i have dealt with in my life. My encounter and experience with them has really been so bad with them not helping. I have been unable to login into my account anymore. Seek others better. I really wished i didn't join them and stick to Wonderwheel. I never had any issues with them. They always pay promptly
I wish there was a negative button because this company sucks! Deposited my 403B account that I had to wait 3 months to get and I made the mistake of having the funds transferred to Fidelity and instead of the normal time to have access to my funds they tell me its going to be 3 weeks before I do because of some new rule. A rule that they did not share with their customers and affecting their lives. Closing all of my accounts.
I wish I could give a negative score. For the past 2 weeks I've been trying to access my paycheck that was direct deposited into fidelity account. I ordered a debit card that they told me would be delivered in 5 to 7 days. now 2 weeks later no debit card and they're telling me all debit cards are canceled because of fraud and no telling when they will come out. ive been consistently lied to by 10 different agents about money that was taken from my account from a canceled wire transfer they told me wells Fargo took it but when I had wells Fargo o. conference call saying they didn't take it then the representing came clean saying they took it because incorrect info was given bur the info was correct. They've canceled 3 other wire transfers so I cannot access my paycheck. I'm calling Dora in the morning. This is criminal behavior and I'm enraged.
Bought some S&P500 stocks, at first they charge £7.50 no matter what for service fee then after they keep charging the same amount every month. Like what on earth is that, every month losing money just because this stupid service fee and good that I noticed in few months but most of the stocks half of the money is gone because of that. Can't log into account that holds my 401 K (that I was enrolled in through job without my knowledge), bc I can't find or recall username & password. When I try to enter my personal info for a code to be sent to email, to get new username/password,no code is emailed & I'm told my info doesn't match their records. Then, a run around with their bot where I repeated the same thing 4 times & gave up. Finally managed to get 1-800 number to call & reading your complaints, I can see this will probably be an extended nightmare just to be able to view my 401k account. Thinking it's probably a good idea to close out my 401k with them & find another option.
I am pensioner and i have trusted this firm for the past eight years but now I have been poorly treated and now i am far from impressed with how customer care has treated my case. I am counting my losses now with lot of regret but still doing my best to focus on my head- er so i can recuperate . It has not been easy but slow and steady i will get there with consistency .

Fidelity rep told me that once my transfered cash is settled (3-4 days), I will be able to roll the money from my IRA to my Roth. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. If documents are missing, they won’t notify you via email or mobile. You’ll only discover this when you try to log in and find you're unable to. Then, when you attempt to update your mobile number, it takes two days to process seriously, these days other companies are updating this in a minute. Also, Until those 2 days, you won’t receive the security code which needed to log in. Every time you contact customer service for the code, it takes them 20-30 minutes just to provide it. BEWARE! Fidelity Investments now HOLDS ACH transfers for up to 3 weeks before funds can be withdrawn!. My Money Management Account I use DAILY for debt card activity and normal daily bills and charges was just declined for INSUFFICIENT Funds for $21 charge at the grocery store with over $5000+ in it. I transfer $200-300 Daily from another Business Bank account into Fidelity and they have always cleared within 2-3 days. All of a sudden today I'm told even though the funds have been received I'm not allowed to use them for anything but trades till the 11th of Oct 3 weeks from now! I can't even purchase a pack of gum!. I called in and it is a new policy they have started with no warning. So if you use a money management account for daily use, you better check your available balance and when it's available for use and expect 3 week delay till after deposited. After over 10 years I'm closing all 5 accounts and moving back to a local bank. Fidelity Investments is now a useless bank. I have over 10 transaction that now at risk of being declined/returned for no reason and no warning this change was happening.
I requested a withdrawal of my funds into my bank account on the 21st June. The funds went straight into my account on the 26th June. I found my experience very positive. There were no delays or paperwork it was all done very quickly.After my request I had read the reviews and admittedly I was worried extremely worried due to the endless negative reviews.However fortunately my experience with Fidelity was the complete opposite.
