experian.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives experian.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 82.5. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Reliable. Legitimate. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 82.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to experian.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Reliable. Legitimate. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a reliable and secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning experian.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between experian.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of experian.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of experian.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. experian.com is an innocuous website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether experian.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether experian.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, experian.com.

This is a good tool to have, I've really noticed my credit score going up and I hope it continues. Only thing I don't particularly like is too many emails. 2 a day is fine but over that is just ridiculous especially trying to get me to get a credit card. It's starting to become like spam.
Well my rent amount changes from month to month due to utilities they charge me. But your automated system did not recognize it so didn't give me credit for it. I tried to call but your other automated system was sending me in circles so that's why I didn't give you a 5 but a 4 because I am grateful for the 22 point boost.
I'm not happy that every few months Experian loses my bills. It's a constant battle trying to get my bills to stay in tact with Experian - it seems they are always losing them and asking me to show that I am paying them when I have been paying the same bills for over 5 years! It's totally ridiculous!
I used Experian boost right before purchasing a new car, it bumped me up to a better credit group which I believe will save me thousands when it's all said and done.
I had a name change and Experian wiped out all of my credit that was on my report. Experian is the only bureau that I am having problem with. When I call they say it was deleted, all of my accounts over 20 of them and this sounds very illegal. When calling the call center, I get different people with different answers and it seems there is no one to help me. I have called over 20 times for help and the person I need to speak to that can help me is hiding somewhere and they are not made available. Experian is the very worst credit bureau! And this has caused me to loose the loan that I was available for yesterday before Experian removed my ENTIRE credit accounts!!! I need help and there is no one at the call center that can help me!
Experian Boost, it is the most sophisticated system to help people have better and faster credit, it also changes people life....good credit good life.
The Experian Boost got my credit scores up by 45 points. The only downside is I can't Boost my Utility bill because of the bank I use. I think Experian Boost need to let you enter your account information not your banking information. If I don't use the card or account on file then I don't get credit for paying on time but other then that it did help my scores.
My experience with Experian was Awesome!! Outstanding and Excellent Support!! Answered All my Questions❓ And Also Really Very Patient as well. Gave Me Nothing But ALL "Good" Info:ℹ️ That I inquired about. I Really Can't Say enough about the Help and Support I Got and Received From The Experian Rep Who That Helped Me!! So A Really Very Big Huge THANK YOU!! Again!!😊☺️😎👍👌🤘James🙂👍
Experian Boost is great. Sign up was quick and easy. I loved how it pulled in my bill info and raised my score immediately. I'm excited to see how it benefits me in the future.
Great free monitoring services and there are even more available during the 1 week free trial period. I accidentally did not cancel my free trial and was billed for 1 month of service. I sent an email requesting a refund and much to my surprise I received a full refund in a few days. Thanks Experian!
Again I informed the rep not to add the notification but they did it anyway. I assume they didn't add their name because it was an illegal act. Which Now prevent me from accessing my credit line I told them it would. I told her not to do it with out mixing words. At this point I have no choice but to contact a lawyer. Your CSR actually told me that one issue would only be on there for another couple so just leave. I didn't know that giving bad advice was part of their job description. The 05/15/2024 is a general date not the exact date. I called several times trying to fix my information but the end result i was looked out all together.
Experian boost is simple and easy to use. It helped to raise my credit score in a day by simply adding bills I have already been paying for.
I hooked up with Expedia not really thinking I would get anywhere but now thank Expedia. :)
Excellent after some natural disasters in my area I lost a grip on my finances. The harm done to my credit would require extraordinary measures. Credit boost is designed to recognize your payment ability in normally no rated recurring monthly payments. Telephone company's don't rate your on time payments but are quick to penalize late payments.Insurance payment rating is a true bonus!
I don’t understand how removing accounts that made it look like I had high inaccurate balances, would take my score down! And when I was forced to add them back to raise it again, it didn’t go back to where it was! That was on 6/16/24. This boost has ruined my score! They claim the accounts weren’t removed and have no reason why my score went down 25 points today 6/25/24. I called and spoke to multiple representatives and they have no reason for my score going down out of the blue overnight. They are liars and scammers! There was NOTHING under the “see what’s changed option”. My score went down days after I re-added the accounts back to boost. But they claim to not know why. That was today!
App is so user friendly. I think the company has done great helping people keep up with their accounts for protection*
Thought this was supposed to lower my specrum bill but it added phone service which i don't need and my bill went up $60 dollars. I had to contact spectrum to get it taken off and put back to what i originally had.
I had to fill out so many passwords yesterday, dealing with a fraudulent loan or phishing scam for a WithUloans company I reviewed here. It took me a while to get back in, with all the verification again, but that made my day. My account was still frozen. Experian should should get notified soon about the fraud alert I posted on Transunion last night and again today. It's a crazy world.
Worst company out there! It's taken a month for them to add simple documents to a credit score! They have NO understanding that their incompetence affects lives! They are not bothered in the slightest that their mistakes and dragging their feet can literally make or break peoples lives, home purchases etc!Yet we're all stuck with them as that's who the banks choose to use to check scores. If there's a way to avoid them the DO!
I used Experian Boost recently & was pleasantly surprised with a 13 points increase to my credit score. It's really as easy as they say, attach your bills & watch your score go up. On the other end of that, there's no negative impact if you have no qualifying bills. These 13 points will help tremendously to refinance my truck. Experian overall has been amazing to work with.

“Poor Dispute Processing”

There is no way this company actually investigates disputes, at least those submitted online. They wait a couple days then close the dispute with no change to the information. Meanwhile, both Equifax and TransUnion deleted the information I disputed. The only option would be to sue them, but of course they know we can't afford to do that so they can get away with such a poor business practice. Service Value Quality

“Slowest and shadiest piece of software ever created by man!”

%90 of updates you receive from the Experian app are just fake. They just want you to log-in and eventually buy their services. After you get fooled and buy their subscription, they have nothing useful for you. Even the reported credit score is off. Each login takes three minutes on my phone. I think they wrote their whole system in Python. It is probably the slowest website I have ever seen in my life. Service Value Quality

“Absolutely horrible”

Absolutely horrible. Does not deserve even 1 star. Constantly pushing to buy more services and selling credit cards that I don't need. Impossible for 2 people with advanced college degrees to figure out how to put a fraud alert on the account because a 10 digit credit report number is required but not provided. This system itself is fraud. Tip for consumers:Just plain horrible. Not at all user friendly or even useful Products used:Fraud alert Service Value Quality

“Reports are not great”

I am frustrated with the reports I received from Experian. I wish they were more robust. I have tried other sites, nobody seems to give you much.

“Pure junk company”

Autocar use this platform for information. Experian as usual has got it wrong, classified my car as a N. Where they get that rubbish from is a mystery. Maybe some idiot in South Africa who is paid peanut money, no education either. Experian are not a trustworthy bunch, they could not tell the truth if it hit them in the face. Yobs or junkies is the UK rating for Exoeriam Products used:Consumers reports Service Value Quality

“Probably the worst company on the planet.”

Their telephone system literally makes it impossible to reach a human being. I've tried getting my annual credit report, and while the other two agencies, Equifax and Trans Union, both work without issue, Experian would not create a report for myself, or my wife or my mother. The only way I would give this company one star is if there's no option to give them zero stars. Service Value Quality

“Seems like it would be helpful but technical difficulty makes it impossible.”

I got Experian boost hoping to boost my credit score by a small amount but I had my name legally changed partway through the process and it is impossible to get fixed. I used their online upload: doesn't work, tried to fax them: their inbox is full, I sent my private information in the mail and called several times with no success. I am very frustrated that this has put me so far behind in my credit improvement process. Tip for consumers:I really wish there was any way to contact someone working at the Experian headquarters to help or a better system with these very simple very common account changes Service Value Quality

“Improved credit report with other means”

Experian is already doing a job of monitoring your credit, I signed up with them for several months with no improvement on my credit and debt at all. I even had my first identity theft fraud issues until I had to seek better credit improvement with a credit techie on instagrm {webghost33} who helped clear my cc and loan debts of over $43,000. To my surprise, all negative inquiries and bankruptcy statements were removed totally from credit report. If you value your time and money, you'll cancel your subscription with them and do better with your credit restoration. Imagine i had very poor score which got worsened with FDR, now My current score is 720s and it could get even better.

“Horrific Customer Support”

There is no option for online (email/chat) customer support. You have to call and speak with someone who continues trying to upsell you the different options that Experian has, and there is a major language barrier because they outsource their CSR's. I called to cancel my membership after I learned that I could not cancel the 7 day free trial on the website. They make it difficult in hopes that they can squeeze more money from you. Wish I had read reviews first, but thankfully I was not charged because I used an empty account to reserve the membership. Products used:Premium membership; customer support Service Value Quality

“Cannot log into an account and cannot get ahold of a live person!”

Got a letter from AT&T saying they leaked out information onto the dark web and offered one year credit monitoring thru Experian. Set up the account yesterday and cannot log into it today and cannot get a hold of a live person. Personally, I wouldn't even give them 1 Star if I could! Nothing but a freaking scam! Service Value Quality

“Terrible Company”

Experian is a complete waste of your time stay far away from this company and their services. This company is only interested in taking your money to pay off terrible smokes people such as Travis, Mr. Pfizer himself that's all I need to see you to know this company is pure garbage Products used:None Service Value Quality

“Subzero access to a live person for questiions!”

Was turned down by a credit card company due to Experian credit research. Card company said I would need to contact Experian to answer any questions. Tried multiple phone numbers would only get a useless recording that would not connect me to a live person. Went to website to obtain a free report, had to create an account and still would not create an account or provide a report! Service Value Quality

“No customer service”

I had to freeze my credit a few months ago. Now I am unable to log into my account to unfreeze it, which is blocking me from acquiring utilities in my name. The system no longer recognizes my password, my email, phone number, and has no number to speak to a live person or online chat. I have spent 2 hours on this. Where does this leave me? What recourse do we have? Tip for consumers:How can I access my account so I can live my life and connect my utilities? Service Value Quality

“$#*! off”

$#*! off. This company sucks and doesn't do $#*! and they are a scam. I hope whoever invited this sleeps well at night. Service Value Quality

“Banks”

It's super sad not all banks are listed on your page for Experian boost just few of them and so far you guy's won't add my bank which is citizen bank so not very helpful thanks

“Customer service”

I just called for the 17th time to get my phone number corrected with these stupid people. I ask the woman who had very broken English where I was calling and she told me their office was in Allen texas. Beware of these people, they are NOT honest. That woman was clearly from another country and would not give me any info.

“False credit assesment”

All of the credit bureaus Re pure fraud! I have had zero late pays, a great credit mix, perfect credit for over 6 years an I sit in the mid 600's. The current credit agencies are fraudulently reporting according to the CFPB guidelines! You $#*!s are fraudulent period! Pigeon holing individuals into categories of your own choosing! Sick of the damn BS! Scammers, all of you. Experian, TransUnion, Equifax all falsely reporting correct credit standings for every consumer! Tip for consumers:All of the credit bureaus Re pure fraud! “Total one-sided scam”

This company has the bad habit of automatically taking the side of the creditor, or in my case the Reporting entity that bought some bogus paper. Tip for consumers:It would have been useful to know what a waste of time it was to file a dispute Service Value Quality

“Only there to take your money, not to provide any service.”

Can't add a new card to pay my subscription to your premium service. The current card was stolen and had to be canceled.(fraud detection my azz.) So, because your app won't allow me to add a "valid" expiration date(see pic, note the lack of option to add a slash.). I cannot continue my subscription with you. **Also, I've requested my credit union to be listed on your app so I can use boost for two years now to no avail. I guess I'm done with you. NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR HALFA55ED SERVICE. Experian.com is no where near worth the 25 dollars a month. Get a clue. Since I wasn't able to speak with a human, I shared my post as a review. Also, looking around the app for Android, you'll notice several places where script is overlayed onto others making it illegible. See second pic. Tip for consumers:Don't waste your time efforts or money on experian credit monitoring. Can't add a new card to pay my subscription to your premium service. “Experian is a scam”

Experian refuses to remove falsified information. I had a collection over 10 years ago with Farmers Insurance Group FCU. That company continues to falsify my payments to continue the debt. Experian continues to lean towards the big corporation rather than accept my disputes.

“Disengenious company”

I frankly think the FCC which is another company that don't do their job, should investigate Experian. My score has been the same for over a year I mean it hasn't changed 1 number up or down. This company hijacks your information then sell it other companies who want to deny you credit. I'm sure they are working in cahoots with redlining companies and loans companies and rental agencies that pay them to give them denial ratings. Now they are asking credit cards how is this even legal? I will also start asking merchants I acquire credit from if they use Experian credit report which I will very promptly go some place else. This company is as negligent as it's unprofessional noisy foreign customer services departments! Service Value Quality

“A huge payment made on the account”

I had $80,000 paid off of my name and my credit score went down. I don't trust the credit bureaus because they side with the companies and put on your name what ever the company says. Thanks for not caring about the consumer. Appreciate it

“I would give it 0 stars if I could, it's literally impossible to even get in worse credit site ever!”

DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE SITE! ITS TERRIBLE AND IMPRACTICAL. It's impossible to get in and I've been getting the same error for years Service Value Quality

“Supposed to send text with verification code but does not.”

OK, I got an alert that my credit score has decreased. Can't log in because I forgot my password. I gave them my phone number so I could get a verification code by text, but they don't send the code. I ask to verify a different way. Answer the question, get no further. Terrible website. Terrible service. They should be put out of business for messing with people's financial security and peace of mind. Tip for consumers:Don't use this site. It is as good as bogus. Service Quality

“Experian $uck$”

Has to be on of the worst company's to deal with. Clearly their goal is to make it impossible to talk to a human. Oddly enough, when you call in to discuss your identity theft, they ask you the same questions SSN, street address, ETC. that the thief already has access too. The only way I can reach a human is to go through my Discover card account, call them directly and they will transfer me to a live operator at Experian. Such a joke. Service Value Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
