Is egger.com Legit?

I bought Egger comfort flooring 5 years ago for the bedrooms. After 4 years it started to show few white mark, in every bedroom. It had 8 years warranty, so I wrote to the company few times. Never received a reply. Very poor quality and service. I would never buy from them again.

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought the floor! Never mind that it is nearly imposible tolay down as the click system simply don’t work! It is a challenge!! Consumed so much time and broken panels ! What made me very angry was dropping the wooden hanger and dent the panel !!! Absolute rubbish !

I bought 11 packs of Egger 12mm grey laminate flooring from Homebase, it proved impossible to lay due to 'mismatch' in male/female click profiles, flooring was bowed at every joint, pressing it flat fractured the board edges. All in all a wasted day and a "battle of the emails" and photos necessary to get Homebase credit. Good product if you enjoy a challenge!!

Total rubbish flooring, the turn and groove click system, would not lock together as a result the flooring was breaking.. Floor cracking at the joints!!!! Had a rep from eggar he said my floor had lumps and bumps everywhere!!!! Funny how the last floor I had down lasted 12 yrs, never an issue... stay well away poor quality, even worse customer care! 😢

Absolutely terrible flooring, the click method an absolute joke, doesn’t click, doesn’t stay in place, numerous tongue edges broken, bought 15sqM taken me 5hours to lay 3/4 of a room because I’m forever trying to get the f****ing think to click together and when you do another edge pops off! Do not buy this terrible terrible flooring from Homebase

Absolute awful laminate flooring purchased from Homebase (Egger) £32.24 per pack. Impossible to fit. Just would not lock together. We have fitted lots of different laminate flooring over the years and this is the worst. Not fit for purpose. We are returning ours having already wasted a day on it. Avoid at all costs.

I bought some Egger Protect board and followed the data sheet for tiling. My tiles lifted.I contacted EGGER UK who confirmed that I’d followed their data sheet. They carried out some tests and said that the adhesive method doesn’t work. I asked EGGER UK to contribute to the costs of reworking the tiling. They are simply not responding.EGGER own your mistakes

wish I had read all these reviews before buying... absolute disaster, planks won't stay locked,,,, lost my day... will get a refund tomorrow

I bought Egger tile effect flooring in slate for my kitchen from Homebase and had fitters put it down. I had no complaints about the flooring from the fitters and I am pleased with the finish result

We had a fitter supply and fit some Egger worktops in our kitchen (Black Sparkle Grain worktop F490 ST76). Initially there were some small marks on the worktop that looked like grease but wouldn't clean off. We also noticed that the matt surface seemed to retain cup marks, even just from water. We contacted Egger for advice, but were told that we should take it up with the fitter, as we hadn't bought them direct from Egger. He managed to remove the small grease marks with careful use of acetone.6 months later we have noticed that cup marks are beginning to appear on a different section of the worktops, even though we ensure that we clean any 'rings' off as soon as they appear. We have tried various non-abrasive cleaning methods (Method or Dettol anti-bacterial cleaners, never bleach) to no avail, but there seems no point in contacting Egger direct due to their previous unhelpful response.We have had laminate worktops in the past, and never encountered problems like this. Egger customer services will not deal with the end user, even though this seems to be a fault in the product. I will avoid buying Egger products in the future.

I have Egger marble effect flooring in white. Initially, I thought a traditional mop and bucket was my issue as it didn't look clean. It dried blotchy. I bought a Vax Pwr One designed for hard flooring. Still the floor is blotchy. I called Egger! Rude, abrupt woman who over spoke me. Accused me of using a steam mop. Vax is NOT a steam mop. She seems to have missed every TV advert by Vax that is washes and dries flooring. It also cleans with a "laminate suitable" cleaner. As she was quick to jump down my throat "warranty breach" because of the cleaning machine, I pointed out the flooring upstairs had only been moped. So that's no excuse. I have now tried to clean the floor with a damp duster (room size 20ft x 20ft....no fun). Still the floor looks terrible, just as terrible as the woman's attitude! I do NOT recommend this company or their flooring. It also appears others on Trustpilot have the same opinion! Think before you buy!..........just got my phone bill. Added insult. I paid £9.00 in call charges to Egger for the woman to be rude to me! Charming!

Just had my living room diner layed with egger laminate flooring by a qualified floor layer absolutely brilliant would highly recommend.

Lock system does not lock please do not buy. Homebase need to pull egger from its stock, a scandal they can continue to sell this.

Absolute rubbish so difficult to fit.please don't buy egger lamanate flooring you will regret.

Egger flooring ,total rubbish purchased from Homebase 14 packs got through 3 packs and spent all day trying to click it together but it just wont click together just kept falling apart poor quality locking system cant tap together otherwise damage, and weve laid loads of laminate over the years never had this problem before, other makes seem to have a satisfying click ,not this rubbish ,bought 12 mm thick as well thinking it would be substantial ,no way, not cheap either, now have to take 11 unused packs back to Homebase for a refund and three packs down so well over £100 plus fuel and time out of pocket, wont be replacing with other flooring from Homebase as its all Egger rubbish! Stay well away!

Horrible click systeem, don’t buy it. You will hate yourself if you do.
