What Joy H said. This website takes obituaries and republishes them using different wording then asks people for flowers. Do not trust this website. May karma absolutely come for you echovita. This is low.
I was worried after reading some of these reviews, but our plant arrived on time. It was also absolutely beautiful, healthy, and much larger than I expected. The family was very happy with it.
No option for zero stars?My family is being victimized with an edited version of the original obituary. They re-wrote the obituary which is full of grammatical errors and incorrect information. I sincerely hope our friends and family don't purchase anything linked from this unethical site!! I've requested for the obituary to be taken down and I hope they comply.
The flowers were delivered to Birmingham to my home address not the Funeral home 2-1/2hrs away 704 Perryman Road which was clicked on the website??? Maybe a quick call would have cleared up any confusion? For $175+... Also the wire stand that holds the flowers - appeared to be reused a number of times. It was bent and not painted and scratched up.
It was convenient but failed. I selected the option to send flowers while reading my cousin's obituary since it already had the info. Once I selected the item to send it said it had participating florest in the area. After I placed the order, my credit card company notified me of an international transaction which I wasn't aware of before placing the order. A few hours later I received an email that they we not able to complete the transaction and gave me the option to get a refund which only took a few days to post back to my account. Fortunately, I was able to search online for a florist there in time for the funeral and got a nicer plant set for less money.
Horrible. The day before the funeral, I was told my order could not be filled and offered no other alternative. Our family did not have flowers or a message to our aunt and cousins. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
Flowers, arrangements arrived on time and they were most appreciated by those that received them. The order process was a bit clunky, had problems making three separate orders with three separate address and messages. Did not want to save the process, had to keep redoing the order.
This company needs to be taken down. They made up their own obituary, completely inaccurately, which listed my child, as the child of our beloved, passed away friend. In so doing, this could have hurt the feelings of her true family. Scum like this, does not belong on the internet. The ACTUAL funeral home will remedy this for her family. But this is disgusting, hurtful, and pointless. As it truly helps no one. When someone you love passes away, the last thing you need, after the family has to pay for an obituary, is to see some hack of a company make up their own obituary using AI, and misinformation, to list family genealogies and relatives incorrectly. This website either needs to directly source and repost original content, or disband entirely. Nothing in the middle. Absolutely terrible.
I was able to send flowers in lieu of attending a family member’s funeral. I refused to attend due to tensions that arose between extended family members and didn’t want a fight to break out as well as prior commitments. So with this order I was able to be supportive to those who needed comforting without causing unneeded stress. I know the order made it on time as the funeral was live streamed. I even had a family member reach out and thank me for the beautiful arrangement.
I contacted Echovita for them to take down a negative comment that was left on my sister’s obituary. This comment is false and damaging for not only my sister, but my family as well. I have been trying to reach out to someone so they could help me take this false comment down, however no one has gotten back to me. Please respond so that I can remove this review.
This company found a 3 time combat veterans obituary and wrote an obituary without contacting the family. We did not ask for it, they just did it. To remove it takes 3 days so meanwhile they are selling flowers, candles, etc.Read about this company, they are not good, they hit at a time when families are greiving.
My flower and candle order never went through. The order was never processed. The deceased was a very important and special person with whom I conducted business for over 20 years and my remembrance flowers and candle was not present on such a significant time. What a terrible disappointment.
On Jan. 27, ordered an $80 funeral arrangement through Echovita. When I received the confirmation of order, I was surprised to find I was charged an additional fee of $9.99 for an "eternity candle." Don't know what this is and didn't request to order it. Echovita has since refunded the fee & advised that the item & fee could have been removed during the order process. Appreciated fee refund but feel this item should NOT be automatically added to an order for the customer to later remove if not wanted.
This company scans funeral home websites and advertises the sale of flowers to be given to grieving families. This is a scam. When money is spent, there are no flowers that will be arriving. They are preying on grieving families during their darkest hours.
Ordered 4 days in advance. They sent an email the morning of the service stating that they couldn’t complete the order. How disappointing and sad. Horrible and heartless company.

When a friend or family member passes, we want to show our care and concern by sending flowers if we are unable to attend the services. They refunded the money but that's NOT the point. “Funeral spray”

Very nice fresh flower spray. Caused a bit of concern when I didn't get an email to confirm delivery until two hours after the wake started. The flowers were delivered on time but a notice of confirmation ahead of time would have soothed an out of town customer's concern.

I was pleased to see the beautiful basket of live plants I ordered when I arrived at the services. It was very much alive and looked identical to the one advertised. Wish it was a little larger but still a pretty decent price. Service Value Shipping

“Memorial Flower arrangement”

The flower arrangement that I ordered was delivered promptly. However there were about 4 of the same arrangement at the wake, the other 3 were created by a different florist and were fuller in size. The writing on the gift tags from this other florist were printed/type written. My flowers had a handwritten tag which was sloppy and difficult to read. It was also missing some of my message. I had to hand write the rest of the message

“Did not have source”

Ordered online from Echovita for fast funeral due to their advertising on the obituary and promise to get there on time. Called me the next day on the day of the funeral saying they could not take my order because they had no one there in that town. Then I had to scramble to find someone by calling a florist in the town. Sounds like false advertising. Very disappointing! By the way, I live 1000 miles away and could not get there myself.

“Everything seemed very efficient & easy...until I found out the delivery was never made or was lost.”

I've checked twice with the intended recipients, and they are saying they never received the order. I am asking for a full refund. This was very embarrassing for me. “Disappointing!”

The large spray of flowers I ordered and paid $272 for my cousin's funeral were nice. They were delivered on time and the sympathy note I wrote was included with the flowers. “Very happy with delivery, but...”

Very happy with the plant that was ordered and delivered. However, I was NOT happy about the hidden fee for the international transaction fee. I have no problem paying it, but it should have been included as a line item on the charges billed to our company credit card. It was a total surprise to see the charge hit the statement and no paperwork back up for it.

“They Didn't Deliver What was Ordered”

I ordered a floral spray for a funeral. The evening before I noticed an e-mail from them, saying they didn't have the flowers to fulfill the order and would like to send a plant instead. I spent hours on the phone with local florists at closing time trying to find someone who could make a floral spray. It was too late. It was embarrassing for our family not to send what we ordered and hoped to send. It felt like a classic bait and switch.

The delivery was on time. But I had to get a substitution. Because they didn't have the original one I chose. It would be nice if they would have sent a picture of the flowers. Once they were delivered. But I'm just thankful they made it on time for the service.

It was nice, that this service works with a local florist to the Funeral especially since we were across the country from the funeral. We were worried when we got a notice that they would have to substitute flower types because not all flowers were available, but we received a picture of the arrangement and were more than happy with the outcome. It got complements from the family. The lack of variety in the selections is a little limiting, but otherwise we were very happy with how it worked out.

Was informed a day after the funeral that the order could not be fulfilled. This florist was advertised on the funeral website. I believe it is a scam, as this has happened previously. Lesson learned...do NOT order from websites advertised on funeral/obituary sites!

Placing the order was smooth with no glitches and a very nice selection of floral arrangements. Than, I received a call and text later stating my order could not be fulfilled after giving all of my information. I wish I had been informed before completing my order.

Ordered flowers for a memorial service that started at 11 am and flowers showed up late which I can accept that as it was day after holiday. Unfortunately with them arriving late never had chance to read cards. Got call later in the day from another friend who was recieving flowers from one of her other friends. Evidently the flowers I was sending to memorial service were delivered to her house 4 hours later for her 90th birthday. She happened to be a close friend that knew when she read card that it had to be Neal and his Son Steven that were sending to their neighbors memorial. “Not what I expected”

Ordered a 30 inch bright colored arrangement. What arrived was ok, but it wasn't a 30 inch arrangement. It was a few small plants in a basket. It served its purpose and was nice looking, just not what I ordered.

Everything went according to plan, the Gracious Lavender flower arrangement arrived on time and at its specified location. Even the comments were posted ahead of the wake so that the family knew there were people standing around them in their time of grief. The Gracious Lavender flower arrangement was absolutely breathtaking. I would like to add this, I failed to fill out the entire form and I wasn't aware of it until after the fact, but this organization got it all done and filled in the gap with all the information I failed to supply and brought everything together in record time. Peace Lily Plant we ordered never arrived & Candle was not lit. We would never had known had we not checked with a family member who was to have taken the plant after the service.     I do not recommend doing business with Echovita. I placed a $150 order to plant trees in memory of a dear family friend. The company “reminded” me that it does not notify the funeral home of donations when I inquired, weeks later, if the funeral home was notified. Echovita does not make this clear. I would have informed the family myself if I had known. In addition, I received a lot of undeserved “pushback” when I contacted Echovita’s service representative.

    Echovita is total scam. Their obits r made from bits and pieces swiped from the net. Echovita's obits have nothing to do with the bereived family nor placed there by the funeral home or state and local news. Echovita is total scam hoping someone will give them money for memorials they have no intention of honoring.

    I paid for an eternal light a candle sentiment but it isn't on the person's site...I also ordered an arrangement of flowers and found out a day later that this could not be honored...scrambling to find flowers on the weekend!! Fortunately am supposed to get a refund for the flowers...can't get hold of anyone at Echovita...not impressed!!

    .l was accidentally ensnared by this company….echovita. l went online to find out the funeral home where my loved one was, so that l would know where to send the flowers. As luck would have it the picture and names of my deceased were right there. (l assume they use the picture of everyone they can find and post it…..please read on further.). Thinking this was the funeral home or florist recommended by them, l filled out the sympathy card and ordered and paid for flowers. Three days before the funeral. Then l started noticing some things like this echovita was Not in my hometown, nor was the Blooms Today who took the order. So in my panic, l cancelled. l asked them to call me and they did the next day. l decided to reorder, in part because l liked the flowers l had spent time deciding on. Thursday l get a message from Blooms Today that my flowers had been delivered. Joy complete! But in the middle of the night right before the funeral, they sent me a message that they were unable to complete the order. No flowers! If they had been delivered as they said, how did l end up with no flowers? It was impossible to get flowers in time for the funeral. Customer service was rude and acted like what’s the big deal, we’re going to refund hour money. Really? Both orders? Will be interesting. And yes, the funeral home agreed there were no flowers from us. Very callous treatment to grieving families and friends…

    l google online to find out the funeral service for a relative. google prompt me to echovita.com. I paid plant tree and found out there are no such tree planting service in Canada. I paid for an eternal light a candle sentiment but it isn’t on the person’s site. scam marketing company not a legitimate obits.

    I also clicked on echovita, which was above the genuine obit website. Obviously, good part of what is written on it was edited by artificial intelligence, rather than my friend!!! Too sugar-coated to be honest.
