dashlane.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives dashlane.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 89.3. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 89.3 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to dashlane.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning dashlane.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between dashlane.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of dashlane.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of dashlane.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. dashlane.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether dashlane.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether dashlane.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, dashlane.com.

“Too complicated and no help”

I subscribed to Dashlane yesterday, paid one month's fees then attempted to join. I had tried months ago but found it too complicated. This time I had forgotten my master password and went round in circles under guidance trying to solve this issue, always without success. I conclude that only auto replies handle complaints at Dashlane, not people. I do not know much about computers or passwords, but if you want to deal with a human, go elsewhere. Forget Dashlane. “Not perfect but dang good”

I used Dashlane a few years back. It was good, but it often got in my face trying to fill out things I neither needed nor wanted filling out. I wearied of struggling with it and switched first to Sticky Password and then to LastPass. Sticky and LastPass are good too. LastPass is better than Sticky. Then I read somewhere that a newer version of Dashlane was superlative. I went back and gave it a run. I was impressed. That was about two months ago. I think that some of its shenanigans when I first used it were my fault. I did not have the settings done as I would have preferred. This time I'm taking more care with it. I have tried a number of password managers in addition to Dashlane, Sticky and LastPass. The others were culled almost immediately. No password manager is perfect. They all have their glitches, but at this moment I'm putting Dashlane at the top of the stack. I'm happy with it.

“Serious problems”

Dashlane, changing passwords deletes email address I did already write but no reply? I changed my password for the 3 email accounts After not able to login all day yesterday for one. Then today for other 2. Something in your software is not functioning? SEE ATTACHED, the 2nd 1 is yesterday. I had to wait 24 hrs to get back my email from.com This is no joke for me. Tip for consumers:does not function Products used:password manager free version Service Value Quality

“Update To My First Dashlane Review”

Since I provided the first update my experience with Dashlane only went down hill. I contacted customer service, again, and explained the problems I was having. They provided me with a very lengthy process to delete Dashlane and all the files the program wrote to my system from my computer. It was no small task based on the number and complexity of the steps. Then I was supposed to have reloaded Dashlane and start over. Ridiculous. I opted out of that plan and now m using a different provider which is much more reliable. I should have ditched Dashlane after the first review I made. It caused issues and was unreliable from the beginning. Service

“Safety first”

Despite the value of the subscription, monthly, yearly or five years the resources it has appeal, and because you can see which sites have a weak password, generate strong passwords, manage everything in one place as well as the autênticação of two factors, is indispensable. Recommend.

“Personal and professional lifesaver”

With Dashlane I have organized my login credentials, generated strong passwords, and sync them in the app on devices at work and home. When I first installed it I took the opportunity to review the dozens of website logins. I now have unique, strong passwords for over 300 different logins. (I didn't even know I had 300 accounts...) I am happy to break free from Chrome and Safari, as Dashlane works with all browsers on my computer as well as on my iPhone. Further, I have installed the dark web monitoring which alerts me to change passwords when a site has a data breach. I've received about a dozen alerts in a year, but my passwords were already stronger than what they were before. Having such well organized passwords gives me peace fo mind.

“Extremely small font”

System works well but for me and several other oldies it is almost impossible to use in on my tablet. No provision to increased font size even when system font size is increased. I have started to use an alternative system that is almost equivalent andf has the advantage of being readable.

“I've been using Dashlane for almost six months now...”

I've been using Dashlane for almost six months now and I'm satisfied with it. It really helped me a lot. I've joined many websites and needed something to help me organize my usernames/passwords and I found Dashlane perfect for the job. It runs in the background, I have the possibility of creating my own password or it can generate one for me and it alarms me if the passwords I chose are too weak. Overall, I'll continue using it since it really did help me a lot.

“Password protector”

This is one of two major password saving websites (lastpass is the other). I prefer this to lastpass because I found lastpass confusing to use. On the other hand, Dashlane is very simple - you download the plugin and it starts to save your login and passwords as you go to various websites. You can even have dashlane automatically log in when you go to the website. It is free and there is a charge for the premium service. Definitely worth checking out as internet privacy is becoming a larger issue!

“No Customer Service Whatsoever”

Awful... Three unanswered requests to Dashlane to email security code to login... Never received code or even an email reply... Deleted Dashlane from iPhone and MacBook... Wasted too much time... Case closed.

“Wish this app worked better on iPhone and iPad”

Love the way Dashlane works on my Mac... filling in username and password securely upon opening up a password protected website if I've signed on to Dashlane, filling in CC infor ONLY after re entering password. App doesn't do this on iPad/iPhone, or at lease I don't know how to get this desirable performance enabled. Great on Mac, inconvenient on iPad and iPhone

“Not bad. Buggy and getting buggier”

Been paid user for almost a year, not a great service, the login pop-up tends to stay stuck, when signing up- for example this site. Wish they would drop the VPN and drop the price. Tip for consumers:try it out first see if it works for you. Service Value Quality

“Tries to do too much.”

I have owned Dashlane both as a iPhone and on my Windows 10 desktop (two computers). Pros: Ultimately works, but not without a ton of hassle. Cons: 1) Want IMHO a high fee to sync passwords across platforms or multiple computers. 2) Too complicated. They got cutesy with the security - you have to log in upon boot/startup, and again every time you switch browsers or tabs, computer sleeps, etc. The level of security should be customize-able. 3) Once you HAVE ALREADY SIGNED INTO YOUR MASTER ACCOUNT, Dashlane still hides passwords from view. Sometimes you can click an eyeball icon to reveal your password, but sometimes that doesn't work. There is no need for this extra step since there is no real security involved. 4) Dashlane often accepts duplicates. I have to periodically go through and weed out extras. 5) Dashlane often repeats requests to "help out" and fill in passwords, even if this is not desired. 6) The interface is not clean, can be confusing. 7) The interface needs to be customize-able to a greater degree to make it easier - some sites accept an account name, some a login id, some an email address. You only get one confusing label with Dashlane. The bottom line is that I never would have purchased Dashlane if I had known what I was getting. But... I have it now. I wish Dashlane would allow features to be turned off in a setup page and hide functions. All I really need is a simple encrypted bucket for my iPhone that I can sync back to my computer for archiving from time to time. I don't need autofill, a multitude of complex and unwanted security features, or anything like that - just a place to store passwords so I don't forget. It really is that simple. I need a Dashlane Lite.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
