Okay, where do I start from? I kept data at home where my weaknesses are. I kept going over them with repetitions and researching them through over materials. My score is between 820-875/900. (Pass rate is 650)I bought the premium study, which is an e-book and practice tests, (unlimited) where you can see where you need extra help, at the end of the TEST exam, you get a full break down, of the questions you were asked and the ones which you got wrong, I though that's brilliant!The actual exam is 650-900, pass rate. I took the exam and failed, I was coming across questions that I had zero Knowledge about, where were these questions on my practice exams? I have never encountered before. Now, if I made a mistake, I hold my hands up and take full responsibility but there was nothing I could have done differently.Someone that is getting 876 (Personal best) to a failure with 556, It just doesn't make sense. I even have the data to back up my claim. I will never ever again use CompTIA!!!
I took the Network+ exam in a learning center and passed with an excellent score in just 30 minutes. Two months later, they invalidated my certificate without providing a valid reason. Initially, they claimed remote software was running on my computer, then they said it was because I didn't use my own PC. Now they're questioning the validity of my score with no real explanation. They are forcing me to retake the exam, but I can't schedule it because I already took it. Communication with the security department is a joke. They have some indian people using AI to write their emails because their English is bad. But these same people are telling you how to interpret the CompTIA agreements. A joke of a company.
Choose othe providers if you are not from USA.. the renewal process for certification is extremely rigid and painful. It doesn't allow payment for PayPal account overseas, you have to vpn into their store to be voucher which you will have problem checking out and be led to another global store you can't even find what you need. It keeps bringing you in rounds, wasting alot of time with slow responding customer service. This is a classic good example of a company that doesn't care about their members but just out to grab your money .. complacency and arrogance at its best
Absolutely horrible experience. Can't even log in. Very, very carefully rest my password, no password manager, just straight copy-paste. "Login as XXX failed. Please try again." Ok, maybe my account was deleted? Try to create account. "Email address already associated with a login." Ok, cool, I guess I'll get my certs from somewhere else.
That platform won't allow you to leave reviews on their products and makes an excuse "sorry we are looking into problem".Company itself look fine, but BE CAREFUL when buying its study materials:The platform where the product is provided is just AWFUL. So buggy! When printing all the tables come out formatted in a poor way with text overlapping. Please fire the person who is responsible for review of the content. For the price you pay this book is EXTREMELY LOW QUALITY. Not to mention all the mistakes in the text, this is just a joke. Def do not recommend. You guys need to pay more attention when writing the material! This is so unprofessional makes me doubt about all company as a reference in the industry.
I passed my online exam, but by the skin of my teeth - the exam questions were written in a way that made them very confusing, they were more a test of reading comprehension than anything else. You can't write anything or read the questions out loud to yourself either, Good luck if English is not your first language or you struggle with learning differences.One of the PBQs had a lot of information in it and it didn't all fit on the screen, with no option to scroll to view it. I messaged the proctor for advice, twice, who never replied, so I just had to guess.Very strange experience not having anyone to talk to, not even during check-in.
After hearing what you have done to LTT and NetworkChuck, I will never take any courses/exams with you. You've lost a customer and many many more once this comes to light. I hope you've had a good run and made yourself plenty of money to help fight your cause.
I have taken 4 tests to obtain my 3 Comptia Certifications, A+, Security+, and Net+ (twice). 3 of them were done through a testing center through my school and 1 was online through PearsonVue. My experience with PearsonVue testing was good, I elected to take it at 9pm at home and it only took me about 10-15 mins for the queue and pretest setup. For my A+ and Sec+, I used college class material to study and what they provided to the teachers cover 90% of the questions that i got on my tests. For my second Net+ exam, I studied using the CertMaster Questions and Study Guide Bundle that I bought off the website and it helped as it increased my score from my first attempt of 632 to my passing of 785. The questions on the Net+ were essentially the same as what i studied, just slightly worded differently and the PBQs were easy. Only issue I have with the tests is that A) they included questions that dont count towards your score but they dont identify them so you could waste essential time on questions that dont matter what you put and B) They dont tell you what questions you missed, just the topic, like you dont have to share the correct answer but I would have like to see just the exact question so I can figure out if i missed the 50/50 questions.
CompTIA lost my proof of certificate as well, only A+ is yet visible in 'exam history' at their website, as well as PearsonVUE. I've put the most efford in Network+, and it's just gone!
Their online test kept glitching and keeping me in the queue unable to leave for any restroom for 2 hours (9 months pregnant). They allowed me to reschedule.The night before my in person test I was admitted to the hospital for induced medical emergency delivery and was there from 1/2 through 1/7. I've opened requests twice. First request did not care that I was hospitalized the night before. Second request asked for proof and said they would only offer 50% off next voucher.
Never go near comptia, I did their certmaster CE to keep my cert. The system messed up entire time I even took photos of me passing as it messed up so much. Once I passed and the time for my cert to renew came I checked and it didn’t renew. I emailed and told my situation and sent through all evidence which is as good as it gets as proof as it shows full completion of each exam, they denied it, even though their system failed and I have proof of this and the head of customer service is the most inept person Iv ever encountered ( her name is Jenifer white) and she refuses to put me in contact with higher up manager. She is either stupid or vindictive either one is bad. Never touch it go near comptia.

Good evening,After two months of preparation for the CYSA+ exam, I purchased (order #5421155) a voucher to schedule the exam for September 1, 2024. However, when attempting to book my exam, I encountered a 500 error stating that my access to the Pearson VUE website is restricted, 'Your access to the Pearson VUE website is restricted at this time. This could be due to a variety of circumstances, including past payment issues, etc.' Despite trying multiple devices, the issue persisted.This situation has caused significant stress and frustration. Initially confident and prepared, I am now feeling anxious and unready due to this unforeseen technical issue. I tried again on September 2, 2024, but the problem remains unresolved.I have lost nearly three days and am no longer confident about taking the exam. I request Pearson VUE address this issue by providing a complimentary exam voucher for a future date to compensate for the time lost and the stress caused.Thank you for your understanding and assistance.Best regards,Eric Bailey USMC Veteran
I paid about $650 for a bundle that included a voucher and a retake voucher. I work so it took me quite awhile to study. It’s been a year, but to my understanding I only have worry about the certification retirement date but in actuality the vouchers expire. The voucher literally expired days before I attempted to schedule my exam. I called customer service and spoke to Destiny and basically was told “nothing we can do”. I feel ripped off for a two main reasons. 1. It was extremely expensive and the bundle only covers core 1 and not core 2 (which I didn’t realize and that’s ridiculous for the price) 2. No extension, discount, or resolution was offered (you’d think the expiration wouldn’t be hidden in small fine print and why the company’s policy so adamant not to help a customers I.e. no returns all sales final mindset???)
Update:Pearsonvue customer service called and rescheduled my exam and apologized for i had to wait more than 2 hours in the check in stage, moreover they provided a goodwell coupon toward any exam i wish to take in a year, i also discovered that i could have 90 days grace period to pay the annual fees and submit any courses i have taken during the period my certification was active, thanks God what a bless, i definitely had a very hard time scheduled 3 times and finally failed but i guess my efforts had finally paid, God is good, thank you comptia.My initial post belowHorrible experience, because of technical issue on the onvue site and camera issue i had to reschedule 3 times, in one of these times i stayed more than 2 hours in the queue IMAGINE and you get NO REFUND for cancellation they send you between comptia and pearsonvue.. the servers + exam was nothing like the material on comptia or youtube and extremely difficult, very few questions were similar, the customer service tools and software used for assistance are very poor looking at yhe amount of money paid for the exam,moreover the experience you get at work is 100 time valuable and logic than the exam...i would suggest taking the udemy course but don t waste your money on the exam....hope that helped
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I have a lot of patience, and I know how hard reps work, but this was horrible. Needed a refund for a voucher due to a long military deployment and tried emailing back and forth, to which automated replies filled my inbox. Then I called, and the lady replied with such an attitude and kept saying my replies aren’t on file even though it’s all documented. Didn’t help with anything. Said her supervisor will get ahold of me, and I had heard that like 5 times the month prior.
Firstly, they intentionally make the questions as confusing as possible just to get you to fail. If they asked the question straight on then fine, but all this "which of the following will you agree not to do as it might not be the incorrect decision on the day that is not prior to the day that the program does not work?" and you ask yourself WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY ASKING HERE ?????
Keep in mind I passed, I'm not writing this because I failed and am mad about it.CompTIA doesn't actually test your knowledge, it tests your perspicacity. They use intentionally obfuscated language and the majority of questions are absolutely not in their "certmaster" product. Nothing but absolute scammers, unfortunately, they are established. It will be a bright day when they are uprooted.
The A+ CertMaster learn and labs is a joke. It’s full of incorrect and misleading information, practice tests mark things correct when they shouldn’t be as well as the other way around, or the explanations are wrong or conflicting with the answers… Also, don’t become disabled after you’ve utilized the materials (but not all the testing), they don’t care. NO REFUNDS. They’re like dealing with the government, opinions and morals mean nothing. They have a book and that’s all they brainlessly follow. Just a certification mill and a money dump, not for the betterment of the industry or the economy. They don’t care, if you do happen to get that piece paper employers won’t know the difference of a good IT education either. They need all the bodies they can get these days, so CompTIA banks on that fact.
Went to take my exam, the day before my proctored exam I had to reschedule. CompTIA, themselves, states you have up until exam time to reschedule. So, I did, the day before, got the message that I was rescheduled, and thought nothing of it. then I get to my new exam date, and nothing was ever sent to me, I go online to check, and they have me listed as failure to appear for my test. went to their support who won't investigate why I never got it, just said "oh well, we can give you a discount, but you're screwed" so they essentially stole $350 from me. they are a scam; I would get any other certification.
