I've had a disappointing experience with CoinJar that raises serious concerns about their practices. After funding my account and purchasing cryptocurrency, CoinJar suddenly restricted my account. This restriction was imposed **after** the transaction was completed, ensuring they collected a fee on my purchase. To make matters worse, they are now forcing me to sell my crypto and withdraw in AUD, resulting in yet another set of fees. I provided all necessary KYC documentation, including proof of funds from my business bank account. Despite this, they still blocked my transactions without clear reasoning or prior warning. It's unfair and feels like a trap to incur additional fees after the fact.Their communication has been lacking, and I've requested a reconsideration of the fees and a detailed explanation, but the response has been unsatisfactory. If they do not resolve this issue, I will escalate it further.Overall, I find CoinJar's practices to be opaque and unfair. I would not recommend this platform to others until they improve their transparency and customer service.

Thank you for the email of apology for the treatment you gave me last week. Please understand that trying to convince me that the seizure of my funds on the basis that you were trying to protect me from possible scammers is not an excuse I will accept. The seizure of my funds without due cause makes you as a middleman the scammer. Bitcoin operates without the need for a middleman which is an advantage people appreciate greatly. You will never defeat Bitcoin no matter how hard you try to obstruct it.

Imagine being asked all these question when you just want to be able to move your crypto to your cold storage wallet. Disgusting! Our Security Team are now requesting the following information in order to proceed with reviewing your request:the source(s) of your overall wealth (e.g. employment, business etc.)the source(s) of your deposited funds (e.g. origination of the funds deposited into CoinJar) Additionally, our Security Team is looking for supporting documents on these sources, with some examples included below: recent bank statements showing your full name, residential address, BSB and account number, as well as recent deposits into CoinJarwhere the source is Property Income, a written description of the income and documents showing that income in relation to the propertywhere the source is Business Income, a written description of the income and documents showing that income in relation to the businesswhere the source is Investment Income, a written description of the income and documents showing that income in relation to the investment This is how private information become public! I stand by the above.... Do you realise that based on your ridiculous guidelines it would take 4 months to purchase and move 1 single Bitcoin. Pathetic! I'll break it down for you. month 1 deposit 100k month 2 deposit another 2k and then purchase one BTC month 2 move half of that BTC as you can only move $50k month 3 move the other half or $50k worth of BTCmonth 4 move the remainder of the BTC which would be about $1500 right now. 4 bloody months is pathetic!!!Lol perhaps you should read the WHOLE of my review. You will see the questions that you ask above. These are part of the problem considering I will not be disclosing ALL of my personal and private information to you guys just to be able to move MY crypto to my cold storage wallet. The support agent responded to my request in a timely manner and provided helpful and courteous advice that was pertinent to my request. The link to the knowledgebase was especially useful. It left me with a feeling of being welcome on the platform.

The CoinJar platform is pretty easy to use.I do miss the availability of support via a conversation, but that seems to be a eay of the world.The online email support is satisfactory.

Coin jar support staff addressed my concerns promptly and professionally unlike other exchanges that sometimes takes days to answer or follow-up. Coin jar is the type of exchange I want to do business with and unfortunately they aren’t currently supporting the new Enjin Relaychain coin, which is now the native coin of Enjin. Millions of people converted their erc20 Enjin over to the Relaychain coin thus prompting Coinbase & BinanceUS to begin delisting it instead of smartly supporting it! I hope Coinjar realizes the magnitude of the Enjin gaming ecosystem and reconsiders support for this coin.

Had a transfer not go through to the wallet I sent it to. Got in contact with support and they were very helpful, understanding, and informative, just like customer support should be. Coins were recovered about 2 weeks after initial contact (have patience, it's not a quick and easy thing to do). Keep in mind there's was no guarantee they could recover my coins and even if they were unable to I'd still give them 5 stars.

The team were able to save my crypto on my coin jar account. Hackers accessed my phone via Samsung smart thing’s locked me out of my phone then changed my phone number and details to their details then proceeded to withdraw out of my bank accounts and tried to take my crypto as well. Was lucky that I realised and kept messaging. Lucas was switched on and used Video ID to save my account as the hacker probably male does not look like me or my Id that he stole. i opened new new account with them and purchased some coins how ever after trying to withdraw my coins to my external wallet they placed my coins on hold asking me to answer few questions before releasing them even after answering their questions nearly 3 days they have not released my coins their support is the WORST ive ever dealt with be AWARE atay away from this exchange

CoinJar is what I always recommend new crypto user in Australia to go to! The UI is easy to navigate, which makes purchases easy. The balance is right there when you open the app and makes it easy to keep track of your balance. The CoinJar card also allows those users wanting some flexibility on how they use their crypto the option to do so. User can then take advantage of CoinJar advanced trading platform once they get more comfortable and gain a bit more knowledge. The fees trades are quite competitive with some of the larger trading platforms out there. If you haven’t decided on a platform yet I’d highly recommend you check them out.

The Support Team worked well as a team over about a month. Each one of them was patient, tenacious, and helpful. This resulted in a very satisfactory outcome.

“WITHDRAWAL ISSUES”

These companies don't deserve any good things in this life; I paid more than €*** under the continued insistence of these companies, with false promises after promises. After a few promising months, the investments were botched without reservation or precautions. They continued to insist on adding money. As soon as I told them to stop, things swiftly spiraled out of control. It was not easy, but I was able to solve the case and get my total balance back, but I am still dealing with the strain they caused in my personal life and finances. “SCAMMERS!”

Scam Scam Scam. Run away from this scam. They sweet talk you to invest a lot with them but when you are having troubles you will not hear from anyone of them. I had my share of troubles with them. From being locked out to unable to withdraw funds and other hidden charges. I was able to overcome them finally with (solvlyin) on telegram, they helped recover all my money.

“Abysmal support”

I got my money back from Coinjar last night after I sent them my Police Check. I will still give a 1 star rating. Very poor support response took days and while waiting, my money was dwindling away. I deposited $11,000 I got back $9,422.04. From 12 April to 20 April I lost that much doing nothing. For a company dealing in high tech financial opportunities every minute makes a difference you losing or gaining a lot of money. I suggest Conjar to personalise your response to your clients and not the generic email that I had to read the whole email to the bottom to get the information I need. I am a member of Coinjar no. *******. I deposited AUD$11,000 early April. I wanted to send some of that funds to an external account to help a family member in Amsterdam. Coinjar blocked it saying it needs verification. I answered all the questions and waited and waited. They email back they still can't verify my account. I even sent a police check in case they wonder about any criminal records or something like that. The Coinjar support is non existent. They claim they will get back in one day. That never happened to me. In the meantime my funds is dwindling to $9000 now. Some friends recommended Coinjar now I am sorry I even heard of Coinjar. Even when I wanted to withdraw they will need to verify that as well.
