Is brownells.it Legit?

I’ve dealt with this company on 2 separate occasions, & both times it’s been largely unpleasant. They charges £30 more on a pair of 1911 grips than they retail for. Stated 4-7 days shipping, & took over 3 weeks. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, they are a bunch of ripoff merchants.

I have dealt with the UK office a few times, and am a repeat customer. Delivery delays as reported are NOT their fault, but due to idiotic UK Customs SNAFU'S.I bought a Mini14 stock, and received truly outstanding service from them. Gavin truly went above and beyond what I could have reasonably expected.Every time I dealt with Brownell's UK has been great.Don't blame them for the UK Customs bureaucracy mess, they are as much a victim as we are.

Not very happy with customer service, was told order with arrive in 7 to 10 working days, it is almost a week overdue. I haven’t received a response the seller and Parcelforce, the delivery service hasn’t updated me on my tracking in over a week, not a happy customer

I ordered some items based on their delivery if in stock of 7 - 10 working days and I did this because I wanted them within 10 working days, here I am 15 days later (11 working days) and the items aren’t cleared customs. I emailed Brownells UK yesterday to ask for an explanation, no apology was given for the delay, the response said “shipped by Brownells USA on 23rd April arrived in UK yesterday (30th April), now waiting to clear customs”. Two days later still not cleared customs so not yet in the hands of Parcelforce. Where were the items between 23rd and 30th April - being carried by a rowboat?

I recently made some purchases from Brownells UK and stupidly got my timing wrong and nearly missed out by hours on a significant Black Friday saving. I contacted the support team who bent over backwards and managed to secure a rebate for the amount I would have saved. They kept me informed throughout and went the extra mile to provide fantastic service.Thank you Brownells!!!

Ordered something that stated on their website that delivery would take between 7-10 days, fair enough it is coming from Europe, 21 days later and it still hasn't arrived, now if it was free delivery maybe I would be a bit more forgiving but since I had to pay £5.99 for delivery I think that is rediculous,There is no care that goes into running this company and judging by other reviews people feel the same

I was somewhat apprehensive about buying from Brownells UK after reading the reviews posted here. However, they were the only UK supplier for a US part I wanted so I used my credit card in case there was an issue.Item arrived within timeframe and was well packaged. Good communications via Parcelforce tracking. All in all, a faultless service despite being in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

My first experience with Brownells IT was very disappointing. I had bought from the site parts for my handgun, after one week the product arrived, but not the one i ordered ... ok can happen ... however after many emails to service representative to order a replacement, no one has answered yet. I now find myself with the wrong product that I regularly paid.This was the first time i ordered from brownells.it, i'm reaally disappointed

I have ordered a few times from this company and i love the wide scope of items, tools etc that are available. however i have noticed that after they mark an order as dispatched it takes a further week for it to actually be with the courier company for deliver. very poor for 24 hour delivery.

Do not buy from here. They sneak a little T&C in font 0.1 that says 7-10 days AFTER DISPATCH...Which basically means 2 weeks after when they can be arsed. My order cost me £5.99 delivery to send from the US to the UK which then took nearly 3 weeks to come...3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Avoid, you get some ineffectual halfwit or his wife who sends almost single word replies if/when they can be bothered then ignore you when you prove him wrong. I will be claiming back via my credit card. Please support local companies with better customer service and not giving all their money to the USA!

The negative reviews here come as a real surprise to me. I had Brownells import a Hogue product from the US for me and I recieved it in under a week. It was well priced, and the shipping was cheaper than expected.

First, brownells is a great place to source firearm parts that may be very difficult to do in the UK, in my particular case a set of Daniel Defense sights.Their pricing on some items is a little high, considering optics planet offered the same sights for almost £90 cheaper, but the advantage you have is items not getting stuck at customs and then you having to pay more in the end, so it balances out in the long run.Delivery was quite slow, from order to dispatch took 5 days and delivery took another 9. Unfortunately the £187 sights I'd ordered were only put in a jiffy bag and had been crushed- lucky they are aircraft grade aluminium and didn't sustain any damage. Overall, I'd say my experience was average, if I need any more parts I'll return but I'd take the delivery estimate with a pinch of salt.

Very poor quality customer service, slow order fulfillment/dispatch speed, and they shadowbanned my account without telling me why until I tried calling 8 separate times.I've been buying from them for 3 years now, and they take weeks if not months to deliver things. When they do deliver, they always cheap-out on packaging and everything comes in padded envelopes instead of an actual box/parcel, which are not crush or bend proof.Items often get damaged in transit or have manufacturing issues which they don't check before dispatch. I ordered 3 BCM QD mounts and returned 2 because the screws had crack-like pitting marks on them and they were faulty, and I returned some belts that didn't fit well and had stitching errors.They also sent me a QD sling plate most recently and it came crushed in their shoddy envelope packaging.All of this was conveyed with images of the faults and not only do they make you pay for return shipping for an item damaged in transit, which is an absolute joke, but they then banned me for making too many returns, apparently.To reiterate - if I changed my mind on an item, I made sure the items were not used and were still sealed, and paid to send them back.They also don't email you saying they received the return, or when they refund you. Very poor communication on their part.No one answers the phone either, their customer service emails are passive aggressive with minimal wording and they don't seem to value your business.I'm honestly just confused and disappointed.

I'm very glad Brownells UK exists. I've recently got into shooting here in the UK and unfortunately it can be very difficult to get hold of firearms parts and accessories as most stuff (and the best stuff) comes from the USA. Fortunately Brownells have a large stock of items at their shop in the USA that are sent over to the UK shop quickly. Their stock on their website is actively tracked and updated, and I've had no issues with this. People have had issues with items taking a few weeks to arrive when ordered from the USA. This isn't a problem for me and I've not had to wait more than 3 weeks for my orders. I've tried to order shooting related products directly from the USA before and twice I've had delivery's seized by UK customs and either shipped back or destroyed! My point is that I'd rather wait 3 weeks for my order and actually receive my items than risk not getting them at all and loosing my money!You're in good hands if you order from Brownells, their customer service has always been helpful, quick to respond and very apologetic when items are taking longer than expected to arrive (which is sometimes unavoidable when ordering items from other countries!). I couldn't recommend Brownells enough to anyone in the UK looking to order shooting related products that aren't readily available here in the UK.

They took 1 month to send my order. Some of the stuff I bought was missing. When you try to call them, after a while you will hear “the number you just called hasn't been assigned". They do not reply to emails. Very bad business practices overall.
