Is bitaroo.com.au Legit?

I did the required video, deposited funds from Revolut. It is classed as a third-party and not accepted so the funds went back to my account. I deposited the funds from another bank that was stopped with the same message. It was released into my account. I bought bitcoin. I tried to withdraw it.Screen came up that it was pending if it didn’t go through in 24 hours contact Support. I contacted Support eventually I got this replyAs a precautionary measure due to abnormal activity on this account, BTC withdrawals have been temporarily disabled for a minimum period of 3 months. Please feel free to reach out to us after this period if you wish to request a change. Any pending bitcoin withdrawals have been cancelled. However, the account is fully accessible for all other actions, allowing you to deposit AUD, buy BTC, sell your BTC or pay a bill with BPay at any time. I understand that the inability to withdraw BTC may not be the outcome you were hoping for. On a positive note, you still have the flexibility to buy, hold, and sell BTC as desired. I asked whether it was my account because The only thing I had done was deposit funds and buy bitcoinThe reply is, something like, they’re not obliged to tell youI can only say bad experience, and waste of my time and effort.And around $10.

I have been a Bitaroo user for around a year and my experience has been nothing short of amazing.Purchases are always completed with ease and their customer service is very prompt to reply to any queries. Their system also integrates flawlessly with Koinly for tax time.Cannot recommend them enough, extremely impressed.

I initially made a small purchase (under au$500) of Bitcoin via Bitaroo to test the system, fee structure & efficiency - all good. I then made a 2nd purchase (under au$800) - all good. Both of these small BTC amounts were transferred to another wallet (not held in Bitaroo).When I then purchased au$1000 in BTC I was arbitrarily blocked from withdrawal/transferring to my preferred wallet for 3 monthsbecause of so called "abnormal activity" on my account. Bitaroo refused to elaborate on the abnormal activity (3 transactions ??) So my BTC is "locked up" now for 3 months!!You've lost me Bitaroo!! & I'll be retelling my experience wherever I can...

Amazing service. I love the auto DCA feature. One time I did have an issue (actually it was a bank delay on my banks end) I sent a request around 10pm for help and customer service got back to me that same night! It is easy to get in touch with a real human - they don't hide behind a chat bot or web form.I have now setup an account for my self managed super fund and again customer service were there to onboard and speed up the process as much as possible. Low fees, sats display, lightning withdrawals etc. So many useful features, it's as good as an exchange gets. Bitaroo are the only exchange I trust.

Australia's best place to buy bitcoin, without a doubt. These guys are true bitcoiners and know their stuff. They operate in efficient and clever ways that allow them to be the cheapest for their customers, and offer solid customer support.

I like that it's Bitcoin only so you can recommend it to new customers and worry they will be sidetracked into some sh!tcoin scam. Lightning withdrawals a real bonus and show they value their customers. It makes me physically ill when i think of the money I've wasted on arbitrary withdrawal fees over the years. Also the lack of an affiliate program shows high integrity and that they trade on their reputation.

As a novice to Bitcoin, I found Bitaroo really easy. The website and the app are great, And the customer service is excellent. I recently had a panic, and they were quick to reply and assist me to resolve it, they put me right at ease. I’m learning a lot about coin, and really appreciate feeling supported, and having an Australian company to trust in.

Bitaroo is the best Bitcoin only way to DCA in Australia. The app is pretty basic and only allows smash buys currently, but the web page has it all. Range of market options (market, limit, trailing stop and stop market) but the best is the dca.Just set a aud amount and how often you want to it to occur and let it go!Small fee to deposit to the exchange ($2 I think) but you can just deposit larger amounts and it is negligible. Deposits are instant and their email notifications are fantastic. Only thing to make it 5 stars is to get a dca option into the app! Keep up the good work, I will continue to recommend Bitaroo to any new Bitcoiner.

I gave Bitaroo 4 stars, for ease of use, a nice basic trading option, low fees, better bitcoin prices than their main opposition. They even support Lightning for faster transfers if the receiving wallet does as well. Also, you can set your own Bitcoin network transfer fee from 3 options, Fast, Medium and Slow, which is great. Just be aware that the cheapest option may slow up confirmation of your transfer to days, not hours. (I had one transfer to my self custody wallet that took 3 days to be confirmed, so be aware that if there is a lot of action happening with Bitcoin traffic at the time, it could be quite slow if you choose the cheapest fee). Like any reputable exchange, you will need to undergo their KYC procedures, but I found the process to be very quick and I was buying and trading in no time. The support is excellent. Having used a number of exchanges, I can say that Bitaroo offers a top notch experience, better than most. They also have Vault, which is their self-custody wallet for which they charge an ongoing fee based on the value of your stored bitcoin. The only downside is that this option might be a little expensive if you have to store a lot of BTC. Perhaps another option, paid up front, would be more attractive to some users? Bitaroo also supports API syncing to your crypto tax software, which will come in handy at tax time.With an app for smartphones as well as desktop ability, you are well covered to manage your Bitcoin.There is always room for a little improvement, but overall, Bitaroo offers a great experience for both seasoned Bitcoin traders and novices. Edit 3/6/2024: After using Bitaroo for a number of trades, I feel that an update is order. I had been putting through some daily buy orders using their trading platform and when transferring Bitcoin to my self custody wallet, something must have triggered an anti-fraud alert. I contacted them and I had to perform a requested procedure to assure them that all was well before they would release my Bitcoin. Now this could be considered by some to be an inconvenience, but really it's somewhat reassuring to know that Bitaroo has my back. I would consider this to be another layer of security protecting their customers from scammers. So while the procedure was was a slight inconvenience, it's actually great customer service. Hence the upgrade to 5 Stars :)

I've been using Bitaroo for 2 years. I've never had an issue that couldn't be sorted out over email. The issues were because of my bank.I had to send a video of myself on withdraw to comply with some KYC Know Your Customer law. Every withdraw & deposit since has been fine.Their order book is good for limit orders & dollar cost averaging.Good way to buy the dips.

Best exchange with the lowest fees and spread, competitors fees are 3.5 to 4% more. They encourage self custody, easy to sign up, support is always there and active. Exchange has many features, market, limit and DCA. Cheapest withdraw fees too. It would be difficult for another exchange to beat these guys. 5 stars easy👍

Not sure Bitaroo are providing the service they promise.Provided all requested personal information in good faith.After a number of days and having to chase them they gave a bland response that they could not open my account.Bitaroo now have sensitive personal information of mine and they are not providing the service they advertise and I requested.My fear is they are promising a service whilst in reality phishing for copies of personal information for who knows what.....Bitaroo is the Crypto wild west be very very careful about providing details to this organisation they don't provide the service the claim to and they request highly personal information.Bitaroo's answer does not cut it..... when provided with drivers license and passport details.....just doe not make sense....something very fishy here

Worst exchange in Australia, I convert $20 of bitcoin to lightning and they block my withdrawal, huh my account was approved so why the dictatorship attitude? Treating me like a criminal over a 20 buck purchase of btc, Just because I refuse to send fiat onto the exchange only because it's too high and many others offer this service for free.Nah stay far away from themI recommend kraken for no drill bitcoin purchases Or binance for the experienced .

Bitaroo is Bitcoin only. The fees are VERY low. Auto-buying Bitcoin daily or weekly is super simple. The Bitcoin withdrawal process is the quickest and cheapest I've used. If you are Aussie or Kiwi, you should not bother with any other exchange. Bitaroo for the win.

Pros: Easy to use and offers Self Managed Super Fund accounts. Low trading fees and low withdrawal fees for bitcoin in Australia and supports Lightning Network Withdrawals. You pay some fees up front for KYC/Deposits with transparency which allows you to enjoy low fees using the actual service and not worry about getting stung on the way out. Happy to pay $10 up front when I save $1000's in transaction fees and withdrawal fees later. Comes with standard reporting features you would expect for tax and reconciliationCons: Avoid using the express buy option, the price is much higher than the spot price you can call this a convenience fee but it's not worth it. It's a bare bones exchange and lacklustre in account features (e.g. cannot change your account email address, limited security options). If you are looking for alternative crypto coins Bitaroo does not offer them and you will need to find another exchange to cater for that
