bhg.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives bhg.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 87. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 87 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to bhg.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning bhg.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between bhg.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of bhg.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of bhg.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. bhg.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether bhg.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether bhg.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, bhg.com.

“Not the magazine it used to be”

The magazine used to feature "true" designers with talent. The ones in the May 2024 are horrible! It's like looking back at great grandma's house where she just put what she could afford or had collected over the years. Nothing matched. She sewed skirts where cabinet doors were missing! And that poor child having to wake up to that horrific wallpaper everyday! She's 4 yrs old! Give her a room that looks like a 4 yr old little girl. Please don't call people designers when they clearly are not. Bring better talent to your magazine or you'll soon lose me as a subscriber.

“Dress host better”

Could wardrobe please dress dress Joanna Griggs in nicer clothes She looks like she's just woken up and put old clothes on she is such a lovely person could u please dress her more appropriately and feminine All the other colleagues are dressed so nicely Thank u

“Current content”

I love the house and garden parts of the show. However I am very disappointed that it is becoming a tourism show! I don't want to watch the presenters touring Asia, and tonight we see Mandurah as well. I would like to see them bringing us all their new ideas, not touring where I've already been. If you want a travel show I would look elsewhere.

“Rubbish”

I have watched BH&G for years, no longer I am sick of the rubbish dished out now each Friday night. As the name suggests this show should be about better homes and gardens, currently it seems it is a travel show, a cheap crafty ideas show, and a show about cooking. Dr Harry is the only segment worth watching and of course, Graham when he gets a chance to showcase a garden. You've lost me CH9 I'm going to ch2 from hereon in on Friday nights. Service Value Quality

“No longer the magazine it once was”

Just though I would treat myself (on a fixed income now) to the better homes and garden June issue 22magazine as the front cover looked so yummy with warm up winter dishes on the cover. So disappointed it's not the magazine it once. Won't be purchasing it again, mor advertising for high end products than, just a few recipes but nothing in it for the budget poor. Sorry you've lost me, it was a waste of money. Tip for consumers:Flip through the magazine before you purchase it, don’t get caught like I did , not worth it Value

“How to f#$k up a good show”

BH&G have lost their prime time Friday night tv spot. Maybe they should consider bringing back the good gardener, the bearable arts and crafts lady, and let the chippie do some useful stuff (like building decks and stud walls etc.)...or just cancel the show altogether.

“Shadow of itself.”

The magazine is subpar at best- advertisements for over priced, low quality junk and a weird press piece for some pop star? I want HOME and GARDEN content, not some whiny, over-paid man-child talking about how hard the pandemic was for him. Spare me the sob story, show me more pictures of homes, give me in-season gardening tips, and more recipes. That's literally been the point of this magazine since the get go. And please, don't preach to me about being green when your cheap Walmart junk is all made by slave labor in China. Value

“Another WOKE publication”

So disappointed to see Harry Styles on the cover of what used to be a great home design magazine. How does knowing about his life help me at all in designing my home? He wasn't even pictured in his home. Now you are just pushing the Woke agenda on subscribers who don't want to hear it. Who next... AOC? You've lost this subscriber. Wake up:. WOKE= BROKE

“Please Stop the Music”

We used to be avid viewers of BHG show. However two points that are so annoying. Who decided pop, rap or funky music was ideal in between the presenters voice over. Sorry... watching a show on home improvements, not a music show like "RAGE" on ABC. Also the host presenter Joanne, please don't laugh like a Seal as its not healthy! It's annoying Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Better homes and gardens tv show”

The reason why I don't take this show seriously is because of the terrible irrelevant music played in the background which is a total distraction. ABC Gardening Australia is far superior with well informed presenters.

“Inappropriate Cover for 100th Anniversary”

They have an article and picture of Harry Styles on the cover of 100th Anniversary issue. The photos inside are not pretty. I guess they don't care any longer about the views of the majority of their readers. This is a magazine about decorating homes and gardens; not a place to push their woke agenda. I'm not hateful but traditional conservative and don't want this stuff coming into my home and especially something I have paid for. I've expected better of them. This magazine is no longer for me.

“Wrong publication for Harry Styles article”

I was already noting that BHandG no longer met my expectations - but the picture of Harry Styles on the cover and article, confirmed my growing dissatisfaction. I would love to read about Harry in a more appropriate magazine/on-line.The pictures were not even taken at his home. Not impressed at all. Will not be renewing my subscription. MNS

“Not honoring the subscription”

I received a notice that they would not deliver the next 6 months magazines due to lack of magazines, they then offered us 6 months free of the magazine by internet. We wanted the magazine so that we can take it with us when we are traveling. They did not offer a rebate. I bet the magazine will be on the magazine racks for sale in the stores. Tip for consumers:Its hard to judge when you can't get the magazine you paid for. The sent a notice in the mail telling me they could not deliver the magazines for the next 6 months and offered free magazine digital over the internet. We want the magazine not the digital version. Service Shipping

“Not as good as it was”

I have been subscribing to BHG for at least 30 years. I have seen makeover after makeover, but what it has become now is unrecognizable. It's not basic homes and gardens; it's expensive makeovers that people can't afford. It used to be full of useful tips, but not now. Will not be renewing subscription this time around. Service Value Quality

“Mirror”

Purchased a bhg mirror and they put an advertisement sticker on the bottom half of the mirror. Spent 45 minutes trying to scrape the sticker off but the glue is there to stay making the mirror useless.

“Terrible review of blowers”

I just read a review of leaf blowers on the website and it might as well of been named " a list of 10 companies who paid us to feature their leaf blower". As a landscape professional the list is laughable and poor advice to readers. It doesn't even mention Stihl or Redmax but has a plethora of battery operated blowers that you couldn't use to blow a candle out.

“What a ridiculous change of cast”

We used to look forward to BHG every week. But now, we are SO disappointed in the cast change. The wet dishcloth replacement of Hodgey, the inclusion of a high tech segment (who could afford it even, or who even cares), the addition of a smiling assassin garden presenter... why did you fix something that was not broken. You have lost me... and I was one of your greatest advocates. Youn have messed it up big time, through a "change for change' sake attitude. Bye!

“Pedophile pusher”

I love recipes and design magazines. Have been a loyal subscriber. But you put pedophile harry styles on the cover!?! Glamorize someone who represents a balenciaga parent company, Kering, wearing a teddy bear on their shirt posing with a toddler mattress!? I'm disgusted. I hope you lose all of your subscribers. Ps- you even have his upside down cross featured on your cover. Sickos.

“SOLUTIONS TO DECORATING AND DIY PROJECTS”

This is the most amazing site to solve your decorating and DIY projects. They offer the best tips available for any project! It is fun and exciting to see your projects come to life with BHG ideas and solutions!

“Disgusted”

I bought a excpreso coler dining table for my brother. His home burned down. So my sister bought him for Christmas excpreso chairs. So I wanted the table. Well 2.5 weeks later when it came it came in a broken box. N the color was not correct. So now after fighting n fighting with both amazon n Bhag I got nowhere. Now FedEx came n would not take it cause no slip. The company says I don't need it. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“BHG showed 6 may. Extremely disappointed, no rails”

The team built a fantastic set of out side steps for an older mother,,, but no rails,, there were 3 steps,,, cannot believe it was passed as acceptable Tip for consumers:Build a rail for the steps

“Beautiful View”

The name reflects what they do. After my order I barely could recognize my house and their work gave my home a different look. Had friends visiting and they all had this targeted.

“Excellent quality in all their merchandise”

Better Homes and Gardens has a very high quality standard. I buy their products when ever I can find them with their name attached. Their standards insure quality merchandise.

“Great ideas... doable ideas”

From decorating to recipes, everything is doable and easy, or at leas they do step by step to show you how it is done. Online is as good as the magazine.

“Tv program changes.”

Group of ladies discussing recent shows are disappointed in the overseas travel segments. If we wish to watch travel we would watch Postcards or Travel Guides. Australian content is much more interesting and relevant.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  4. Check this: They hide your online searches, which means you will get only organic search results without tracking and follow-up ads. For example, when you search for a flight, and the next time you look at the same search, the prices are higher. With Surfshark, this doesn't happen.
