aveda.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives aveda.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 86.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 86.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to aveda.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning aveda.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between aveda.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of aveda.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of aveda.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. aveda.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether aveda.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether aveda.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, aveda.com.

How hard can it be to ship some shampoo ? I placed an order during Thanksgiving it was a gift with multiple products. I ordered it all to be wrapped and paid for that. ONE piece was shipped to my sister unwrapped ( spoiled the whole surprise ) and now it has been over 10 days and the rest of the order has not shipped. The customer service online take a long time to deal with . Chat will keep you waiting forever so just use the phone and call. Really makes me remember why I swore off buying Aveda on their site. Really frustrating.
I been waiting YEARS for an amazing trip to 4 or 5 star quality hotel within USA! When I originally joined the awards program in the 1990s there was a great trip to quality hotel with a spa experience in Seattle. Aveda has been promising a states-side hotel stay and spa experience for more than 25 years. I’ve accumulated over 160k points and I’m still waiting. Why can’t Aveda and L’Oréal finally become what they promised and treat their longtime solid loyal customers as they deserve and were promised, year over year, “the United States travel destination is coming soon, or within next few months, or early next year, or later this year, or within the next quarter.” OMG!?!?!?
I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and Aveda deleted all of my points 50,000 points with no warning and no message. This is absolutely not okay. How can my points exist for over 10 years and then suddenly be deleted? These need to be returned. This is over $5000 I have spent with this company and you reward this by deleting all my rewards? I was planning on doing the spa trip to the UK in 2025. I have been living paycheck to paycheck and saving these points for this spa day. And you delete the points?I'm absolutely devastated that a company that prides itself on its loyalty to its customers would do so without any warning to its customer. This company could not care less about it's customers. To do this to a client is devastating.Update: after speaking with Aveda they made a one time exemption and updated my account and put my 50,000 points. With this being said this should have never happened in the first place
I placed a $531 order. When it arrived nothing in the package was from my order. I spent 35 minutes on the phone and was told that because my order was more than $300 the representative couldn't help me and a supervisor needed to help. Then our call disconnected.I then chatted for an hour and ultimately was told that the representative couldn't help me and that someone would "reach out to me" to help "resolve my issue."My resolution is simple: I want the product I ordered paid to receive and I am happy to return what I didn't order. I have spent several hours on the phone and chatting and now I am left waiting for a supervisor to call or email me. I don't know why Aveda doesn't have the ability to simply correct a shipping error. All companies make mistakes, I know and understand that. I don't understand why no one I can talk to is empowered to resolve a relatively simple issue. This is one the single worst e-commerce experience I have ever had from a company I had help in high esteem (Aveda has great products) Having ordered from Aveda regularly since 2016 I am shocked that the first time I had a problem they are unable to successfully resolve it in a professional and efficient way.UPDATE 12/6: Aveda replied and told me to keep the product they shipped by mistake and are replacing my original order. I'm satisfied with the outcome, I wish it hadn't taken three days for resolution but in all fairness my problem happened during Cyber Monday sales and I am sure they were busy. They have great products and my faith is somewhat restored in their e-commerce site.
The Be CURLY range is the holy grail for my hair. I have thick course hair ( I call it a scottish frizz) and have tried everything! This product was recommended by Mels mains and I was skeptical as I had tried many other recommendations. I have had these products now for about 4 months and will definitely be re ordering and emptying my cupboards of all other products. Absolutely love it!
Just wanted to warn anyone thinking of enrolling on the plus awards scheme that the “one off” membership fee is not a one off! If you purchase Aveda products from your salon instead of online this will be seen as inactivity and you will be asked to pay another £10 to re-enrol. I can only describe Customer service as being dismissive and unwilling to help. So shortsighted by Aveda as they have now lost a long standing customer! p.s A note to save other dissatisfied Aveda customers’ time- don’t bother replying to the generic Aveda reply to your complaint on Trust Pilot. Their reply was pretty much cut and pasted from their previous Customer “care” emails and offered nothing further to resolve my issue with them. I totally disagree, customer satisfaction is definitely not important to Aveda!!
Absolutely dreadful service and customer care. They took multiple payments and claimed they couldn’t find the order or payments. They eventually located one payment so I had to ask my bank to do a chargeback on the other payments and provide all the evidence (this type of fraud is not what you expect from a multi national company). Anyway, they apparently “refunded” the one located payment. Fast forward 3 weeks and still no refund so I contacted them again only for them to tell me to take it up with bank and they’ve successfully refunded my money. Correct me if I’m wrong but a successful refund is when you actually see the money back! It seems bizarre that I can provide all the evidence of the payments to them on their dodgy website and it’s ok for them to say “we can’t find them”. Dreadful customer service, seriously dodgy website (payment taken 3 times) and absolutely nothing to show for it. Obviously will never shop again. The reviews on here are consistent with issues and poor customer service. AVOID.
I recently spent over $50 on the 100ml Aveda Botanical Repair Strengthening Leave-In Treatment, hoping it would tame some frizz and improve the health of my hair. I wasn't expecting miracles—just a "natural" product that would deliver on its promises. Instead, I experienced the exact opposite. After using this product, my hair feels harsh, brittle, and completely unnatural—like I’ve been using the cheapest drugstore products. The product feels heavy, leaving my hair rough to the touch, as if I’d smeared kitchen grease on it.Aveda is nothing more than a marketing scam. All the glowing reviews you see online? Don’t be fooled—they’re likely paid for. Aveda is owned by Estée Lauder, a huge corporation that’s more interested in profit than in delivering quality products. Save your money and look elsewhere. You can get far better results from much cheaper products without being duped by fancy branding. I’ll never waste my money on Aveda’s herb juice and oils again!
Doesn't care about the environment. I ordered 2 things and my samples came before everything. So basically they spend more money and effort on 1 sample instead of getting me my order. They don't care for the environment. I was on the phone with your customer service and its horrible. I want to take the survey at the end of the call and person refuses to let me take it. He didn't help, gave me extreme attitude, no apologies, no manager, and ignoring me. I will never order from them company ever again.
I have been a loyal Aveda customer for over 20 years. And unfortunately I have seen the decline of the company and product. I can no longer rely on the product’s performance. And the company itself has become greedy. I have to pay for my loyalty “rewards”. Like what??? The rewards I EARNED were a gift delivered to me. Today, I must pay to receive them. I do not bother. And as a result, have found other products of higher quality. Look elsewhere for products. There are many good choices to be found.
Poor customer service. No despatch email or any news about order placed 4 days ago. Tried to do live chat but it's unavailable. Nothing either from their courier (and I have checked spam/junk ). Unless you have signed up to an account it's very difficult to get any information about your order. Hopefully the goods will eventually get here otherwise its £80 lost.
I just received a damaged box full of paper and no products. When I called customer service I was not able to reach anyone. The voice prompt kept repeating. Very disappointed!
I wish I could rate Aveda zero stars. The customer service is TERRIBLE. They repeatedly shipped orders with missing items and they will not correct their mistakes. Phone calls with customer service are totally useless. There is never a response from written attempts to contact them. It’s so bad, I think they are intentionally working to anger and disappoint customers. I wish I had seen the many poor reviews before I ordered from Aveda. Lesson learned.
Terrible company that doesn’t care for their customers. After saving 30k points with them for over 12 years, not only did they reduce what you can get with those points (once a funded vacation to on of their main spa retreats- to now a few hair products mailed to you), they also delete your points if you don’t purchase from them each year. There terms have changed so much since I started buying from them. They’re such a crooked company that built success off of false promises to their customers. And as they won’t make things right, I just don’t want to support their business further. Very disappointed in their company.
I bought 3 Aveda hair care products recently from John Lewis in Edinburgh. After lengthy discussion with the assistant, she advised Smooth Infusion as I have wavy hair which tends to go frizzy . I have used the shampoo, conditioner and smoothing cream for two weeks. My hair looks dull and absolutely lifeless and I cannot put a brush through it. It’s horrible. I spent over £70 on these products. Can I return them ?
In the past, Aveda have created loyalty points so to persuade clients to become loyal, earn points and benefit. Or to be precise pushing them to buy more. Over the years, AVEDA have changed hands a few times and every single time that this had happened their customer service became worse. Most unprofessional, clueless and with one aim that is to rip off clients. The reward points have become for them like something that is now stuck in their throats. Not sure what to do with it and they are questioning their sanity as to why we have to give freebies to customers when instead we can rip them off. They did send a recent email about redeeming loyalty points/rewards before the end of Oct and after that they'll introduce something new. The tone and the ultimatum given are both unhelpful, unprofessional and if it shows one thing, it also shows how Aveda are clueless, pointless, lack the vision and are helpless when it comes to retaining and rewarding clients. What are the new things? they have no idea.. How one can compare and make a decision..why would they care? all what they want is to get rid of those rewards asap. The quality of their products has come down too. They have hit a wall and have a reached a point of now return and is only heading downhill. What a shame!
SOS DISASTROUS SERVICEDISASTROUS EXPERIENCE !! Before the appointment I asked the hairdresser if a balayage was ok to my hair to avoid any damages . The stylist told me it was fine . I never asked for haircut but she insisted . Fine . Here is the result . I had straight and mid length voluminous hair before this traumatic experience. Almost 1300 aed for ruined , chewy , gummy hair + a completely butchered horrific haircut and disgusting grey/yellowish color .I am at loss for words . Saying I’m devastated is an understatement not to mention how much more I’ll have to spend in care for the next few months and the waste of time I spent growing my hair for years .
Great products but horrendous customer service. The shipping company used is horrible and rather than ring the doorbell they just marked my order undeliverable. When I called Aveda they didn’t seem to care & couldn’t tell me when I would receive my order so I took the hint and canceled
Purchased items a week ago online, and nothing is shipping. Status has not changed, I've contacted customer service both via chat and by phone and no resolution. You cannot even cancel the orders unless you do it within 30 minutes of placing the order, which in itself is crap, since they aren't even shipping it out. Buyer beware! First and last order with this company! I'll be disputing any charges at this point through my payment company.
Website is painfully crap and riddled with security issues. Whoever built it has ripped you off! Nearly impossible to place an order but thankfully other sites stock your products.

“So good!”

I first purchased Aveda camomile shampoo and conditioner from QVC off the tv around 20 years ago, never found a better hair product since. Expensive but worth every penny. Smells so good, your hair is left shiny, smelling perfect and soft.

“Improving as a business”

I had negative experiences in the past; especially with overuse of pare and packing materials (kinda disturbing from a self-proclaimed environmentally-sensitive samples and company), but the last 2 orders were much better. I had an issue with a non-working promotional code on my last order and I contacted customer service via email. The rep not only corrected it, but asked me what my personal preferences were for samples and sent me a great little package of product. She even emailed a second time to let me know some of the products were out of stock. I hope that Aveda continues to treat all customers this way.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
