Is aupairusa.org Legit?

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the recent au pair placement facilitated by your organization.The au pair assigned to my family has demonstrated significant issues that make her unfit for this role, raising serious concerns about the vetting process. In addition to openly discussing her need for psychiatric intervention and medication, she has made troubling and false claims about my family, including stating that my son does not speak English—an assertion that is blatantly untrue.Furthermore, she has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with her compensation, claiming that other au pairs receive raises and that they advised her not to help with tasks such as taking out the trash or unloading the dishwasher because “it would become her sole responsibility.” However, as explicitly stated in your organization’s handbook (page 27), these tasks are part of her outlined duties (all family members chip in). Her unwillingness to follow these guidelines adds to the overall unprofessionalism and lack of fit for our household. She hid herself in the room all day and only came out when I knocked on the door to tell her dinner was ready.Most concerning are the alarming personal statements she has made. She disclosed that both she and her mother have discussed ways to kill her cousin’s father due to his abusive behavior. She also stated that she once had to save her mother from committing suicide by pulling her off train tracks. While I cannot verify the depth of these claims, they strongly suggest significant mental instability that makes her unsuitable for this position. It is neither within my capability nor responsibility to manage such serious mental health concerns.This entire experience has been distressing for my family and far from what I expected when trusting your organization to provide a competent, reliable caregiver.

The website and au pair profiles were easy to navigate, allowing us to find a great match quickly. The agency answered our questions promptly and ensured a smooth transition for us and our au pair. They maintain regular contact and are always available for any follow up.

Best company to choose if you're planning on being an au pair! They're very attentive, very kind and they're always available to guide you in this process and help with all the doubts you might have.

Au Pair USA was very responsive through the screening process, match, and when our au pair arrived last week. Staff were very responsive to questions and the day our au pair arrived, were especially attentive which made the day less stressful. We have only had our au pair with us for an about a week, but have been very pleased so far with the whole process. Definitely recommend!

We had a seamless experience with adequate information available to answer all our pending questions. As first time participants as an Au Pair host family we were nervous about the process and details, but the team made the whole experience easy. The in-home visit was also helpful. The quality of Au Pair's on the site was also superior to some of the other agencies we tried. In the end we found a perfect match for our family and the agency ensured that both us and the Au Pair were engaged throughout.

I had a very bad experience with this agency. They have few host families and many aupairs, many of whom end up having to return to their country because of this. I think the way they sell the program to the families and the aupairs is completely different. While we (APs) believe we are going on a CULTURAL exchange, the families see us only as cheap labor. I have never been so mistreated in my entire life.

We were unlucky as our chosen au pair did not get visa. Coordinators were very helpful and swiftly assisted us with new choice. Everyone was very responsive and helpful. We got a new au pair now for our child with Special Needs, and she is doing a good job.

In general the experience was pleasant and all the doubts I had were answered with kindness. The company cares about you and your well being in your Aupair adventure.

I am very happy to live this experience, the agency has always been attentive to my process, I am already living my dream with an excellent family.

I liked that they were always aware of my flight, of my arrival, they checked the place where I arrived, and provide activities for one to meet the other aupairs and their families and always they give very good advice..

For each step of the process, we had a designated point of contact who answered all of our questions promptly and accurately... we also felt the website was well run and easy to navigate. Tara C. and Amanda L. were fantastic and really put us in a position to make the right choice for our first Au Pair!

When our family began the process for looking for the perfect Au Pair agency, we did a lot of research. We wanted to ensure that the agency we chose had great reviews, a safe screening process and responsive customer service. We started the process in late June or early July 2023, and our Au Pair arrived on 8/15! So far, she has been a great addition to our family. We are brushing up on our High School Spanish, and the girls are learning too. We hope that we do not run into any issues, and in the event that we do, the agency will help resolve. So far, I trust that they will!
