amazon.ca Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives amazon.ca the absolute highest trust score on the platform: 100. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Safe. Secure. . We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this very high score? We came up with the 100 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to amazon.ca's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Safe. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we label this website as secure and trustworthy. We explain this in more detail below.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning amazon.ca, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between amazon.ca and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of amazon.ca. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of amazon.ca, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. amazon.ca is a secure website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether amazon.ca has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether amazon.ca boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, amazon.ca.

How amazon still not closed?Simply the worse shop ever built from all perspectives, it's only bugs, payments errors, customer service incompetent, they change delivery date as they wish, they violate their own rules and policies as it's better for them, it's a company working with the worse practices I ever see, they only want your money, nothing else? Only blind people can buy from Amazon, they are the most expensive with the worse service and nothing here makes sense! This only a shopgkr intelligent people!, Normally it should be closed and they should pay billions of fines for violate laws everyday!
Absolutely puzzles me that this company gets so low ratings. I have only good things to say about them. Where else you can get most of the items delivered to you the next day? Where else do you have such selection? To me this is the best shopping portal. Period.
Basically steals your money. Items don't get delivered, Amazon says it's not eligible for return/refund. Offers courtesy credit, I purchase items that never arrive. Amazon can't find them either, tells me the only option is refund, but then refuses to refund the courtesy credit. They scammed me! After years of being a loyal customer, I've had enough! 😮‍💨😓 spoke to supervisor, he refused to properly identify himself (because he knows he lied & scammed me!) He would only tell me his name is "dj" 😒
The most concerning practice of Amazon is to send written documentation of "guaranteed" delivery dates, only to change them at the end of the day.Monitor ordered Tuesday, email of the "Prime Two Day Shipping" guaranteed date is Friday.New email this evening (Fri) telling me my new guaranteed delivery date is Monday! Guarantee: provide a formal assurance or promise, especially that certain conditions shall be fulfilled relating to a product, service, or transaction
Amazon, your online support is pitiful. I do not know how you can hire such incompetent people to represent your brand. They can neither solve customer issues nor do they actually want to. I was transferred 9 different times with each one claiming "technical issues" for not being able to help me before I even had a chance to reply. The absolute worst customer service I've experienced ever. Anyone reading this, please don't waste your time with them, please take the time to speak with an actual agent for help. Your online support should be working where they ask would you like fries with that?Do better Amazon, you are a multi billion dollar company.
I returned my order through Purolater 2 weeks ago. I had called Amazon regarding my refund and was told they see I dropped it off and I will receive my refund. I just called back again and now they say they cannot see that I dropped it off. I was on the line for over 30 minutes and had enough and hung up. You cannot even on their website find how to contact them. I am considering closing my Amazon account altogether. The service sucks. It's not worth anymore ordering with them. Returns are terrible now.
Amazon.ca is no better then temu or Wish .They have a lot unethical sellers who charge a lot for self destructing products and/or counterfeit items .I had xpr spectromony performed on alleged sterling silver jewellery which showed it was plated my review was removed anybody in the precious metal trade knows you cannot get away with fraud when SPECTROMONY is used as a florensic device .The seller said my review was fake -LOL
Almost every product I've purchased in the last 1.5 years from Amazon has died. They no longer do anything for customer satisfaction, just give you a phone number to call the manufacturer for warrenty (3rd party seller) who never responds or answers their voice-mail or messages. Amazon used to at least try to support customer retention, now they could care less. I've had to go through multiple agents to get this resolved. Purchased a dog grooming kit, it died after the 2nd use within 5 months and they can only offer a partial credit, had to finally escalate to a supervisor as the agents do nothing. Amazon should back up the products they sell or stop allowing crappy 3rd party sub-par sellers to sell products on their platform. Posting a negative review does nothing as I still see the same sellers selling their lousy products (Oneisall dog grooming clippers) and sometimes the review gets removed.Time to spend my money elsewhere.
I bought a lot of fishing gear in the last few months off Amazon and I was very happy. Then I ordered new line for my reel. They said it would be inin 5 days on a Sunday. They said it was shipped. Sunday came and the site said it would be in that day. Around noon I checked and it said my line would be in by 8 PM so I took the old line off my reel. A couple hours later I got an email saying it would now be in 6 days later, even though they said that morning that it was at the Amazon facility and would be in that day. THEY LIED TO ME. So now I have to go all week without fishing because THEY LIED TO ME. Otherwise I wouldn't have taken my old line off until the new stuff came in. I immediately cancelled my prime and now am waiting for my line and one other order they LIED about. Then I am DONE with Amazon. Very unethical. This was Amazon Canada.
Manufacturer and Amazon failed me, didn't deliver order after 10 months and cancelled just now! 7 months ago I called to either cancel or get the items as well, and the Amazon rep LIED to me saying they were getting the mufflers and resonators back in stock already so I should just wait.... and nothing. Destroyed my project and now increasing pricing for me as I could have gotten those parts in the order elsewhere nearly 11 months earlier! (now it's winter)They are also blocking me from posting reviews about this on their website due to "community whatever"
I changed my payment method to my checking account yet my payment didn't go through for prime membership. I assume I can no longer purchase on Amazon either. I keep getting messages that I need to update my payment method, but I already did.I was unable to get a chat option after trying several times. Being.alone, elderly, hard of hearing, I don't do well at all with phone calls. Even worse, Amazon knows they have this exact same proplem with others. With chat all messed up and my having a pretty good idea they won't go to the trouble to respond to this as individuals are of little concern to them...I guess I'm out of luck... C'est la vie
Like other reviews here, they couldn't find my house... or that is the drivers story. A 5 year old could find my house. Lazy, no accountability, and a complete failure.I have a complete lack of trust in Amazon from this day forward, and their customer service agents seem handcuffed, and only permitted to say "sorry". I feel bad for that department. They have no power to voice real customer issues, and no way of promoting change.Me? I will cancel my Prime Membership, as I now know that Membership does nothing.
The agent was speaking over me, had an attitude for no reason, he kept cutting me of and calling me Reem, which is not my name. I eventually told him my name again. He brushed me, and put me on hold for a while. Came back, and called me Reem again. I told him that it's now my second time telling him that my name is not Reem. He then hung up on me. I called back for a supervisor, waited almost an hour. the supervisor said they couldn't process my complaint due to system issues. I called back the next day, I waited a while and this "supervisor" sounded like the same person. He called me Lee (I'm a woman and my name is not Lee) He proceeded to tell me the reason for my call, and when he finally stopped talking I began and he hung up. I think outsourcing customer service to the Philippines was a mistake, the agents have no respect for clients.
I watch TV often through Amazon Prime. No complaints there.I don't order packages often, but who can complain about free shipping, and overnight delivery (in Mississauga). The one complaint I have (and it's a big one for me), is that even though my delivery instructions say to knock on door when delivering, deliveries are usually dropped at my front door in the hallway of an apartment building without knocking on the door. I'm waiting for the package, so a simple loud knock on my door would let me know that my package has arrived. Without the knock, my package could be sitting in the hallway for hours, just waiting for someone to steal it. That being said, I've not had any major problems since signing up a couple of years ago.
Was sold a fake product on Amazon, spent 2 months talking with 6 different agents (2 of them being supervisors) that are quick to offer solutions that require you to hang up. The issue is never resolved and the next agent you speak with will ask you to re-explain the whole issue.$350 on fake sheets and hours on the phone later, still no refund received but lots of promises from Amazon that it will be fixed.Cancelled my Amazon Prime, never shopping at this scam site again.
After UPS deliver my products to Amazon Canada it takes at least 3 weeks to see them available for sale. Even then some are transfered to another warehouse making the wait longer. Very damaging for a seasonal business. Also, a customer can destroy a product, return it and get a refund, no question asked. I think supplieers are also customers, no ???Looking for another fulfilment cie.
Amazon is still my best store for buying stuff online. The staff on the platform are usually willing to help even when some sellers refuse to give any response. Therefore, for a happy shopping experience, you just need to be careful because there are some bad sellers hiding on Amazon. But that's okay because I usually use the reviews left by others to determine whether to buy a product or not. Can't tell you how much stress that has saved me.
Worst client service ever!! So they bloqued my account because was saying my paying account is not good because its a french bank card but they still taking money from this account for prime vidéo where I can't conne t myself. When I call client service no one can do anything. So I would never buy again to this plate-forme
Waited all day yesterday for my package. I got a guarntee delivery date. And by 10pm it will be here But Once 10pm rolled I still never got anything nor was the item even shipped yet The next morning my delivery date changed and now my new delivery date is a week from now . So much for guarantee delivery 🤦‍♀️ so annoying also in the past they kept charging me monthly for prime when I cancelled it numerous times they were still talking money out my bank until I had to delete my full bank card off their site only way they stopped charging.
I had 2 accounts that I wanted to merge but Amazon couldn't do it. Then I wanted to close out one account that had an old email which Telus no longer support but couldn't do that. It is amazing how little Amazon Customer Service can do as their policies are horrible and they provide little to no customer. Today I ordered the right item but wrong colour but customer service couldn't change the colour. How useless!!

“Return policy”

Amazon's return policy is a joke. When you go to create a return it would display when you will receive your refund BUT if you call them that is not what they tell you. Some of my items were refunded within a day or two, some 7 days and then 30 days. They will always tell you that you will receive your refund after WE RECEIVE your item. That IS NOT what it says when you create the return. Usually it states 7 or 16 days for refund from the time of drop off. BUT their system never updates the drop off! Amazon changes their policy like the wind. I'm going back to Walmart this isn't worth my time. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Worst customer service ever!”

First, *Do not buy anything on Amazon.ca that is sold by a third party seller*. Amazon will not help you at all, and you'll get ripped off from those third party sellers. What they call an A -Z guarantee is completely useless! Customer service hides their phone number, making it difficult to speak to a human. If you do reach a human they won't help you, they just hang up on you! They hung up on me twice today. Even by a so-called supervisor! I was told by 3 customer service people that the last person I spoke to gave me the WRONG INFORMATION… and they won't make it right! (In other words, You lose sucker!) Amazon.ca is expensive and purchases are often shipped from the USA which may cost you duties. Typical Canada, you won't find any bargains here! It's a world away from Amazon.com. Products used:I was trying to return a helmet from a third party seller. It remains to be seen if the seller ever refunds the full amount. Customer Service was no help, you have no idea what they are talking about and you have no idea if there will be a refund. Service Returns

“I can't post a review yet again”

I purchased a Hengstenberg's cabbage ( made in Germany) It was the fourth time Amazon sends me a jar that's leaking red cabbage liquid. It was an absolute mess. And it hasn't been an isolated incident. We love this particular cabbage and it's not always available in stores. Almost each and every time the cabbage jar is soaked in red juices and leaking. I left them a review complaining that it arrives in terrible condition and they should pay attention to how they package their items. This one arrived in a paper envelope with a bit of bubble wrap around the jar. When I opened the envelope my hands were all red and the jar was completely opened. I have had it with them. It took them a week to respond to me. Finally I get a response (pictures) and once again they sound completely ridiculous: they're saying they won't allow my review since I base my review on delivery and packaging. As if to say " this is useless information for future buyers" and has nothing to do with the product itself? Sure, I can't even return it as I have tried to do it myself. Amazon standard of packaging is super low and they wash their hands of any responsibility. It is after all part of your entire Shopping experience and a dismal one at that. So, I can't have my money back, I can't return it and I can't post my review. Who the heck is this sorry looking Amazon business in Canada? The website has become a cheap version of Temu, SHEIN and Wish. Terrible quality with super high prices. Shame on them! I will make sure everyone knows about it.

“Poor policies, delayed shipping, money returned but charges already again”

I had ordered over $5,000 of products from AMAZON, almost a month later, it was never shipped and now I see they issued a refund for all my items. Someone had the use of my money and I have incurred interest charges on my visa, very poor performance. My like for AMAZON went out the window.

“Retailer MUSTHAVZ Not good quality product”

After a week buying this adapter its already broken, not functioning not charging my phone, total failure. Amazon should verify the retailers before permit retailers announce false certified apple products online. Hopefully, lucky me I'm Amazon Prime member and it will cost me nothing the return. Tip for consumers:Stay away from this Retailer -hefeifuzhixinxikejiyouxiangongsi- selling products under the brand MUSTHAVZ inside AMAZON store. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“The company Amazon.ca is great but the delivery staff is terrible”

I've purchase hundreds of items from Amazon.ca. Their retailing practice, return policy, etc. is excellent. However, their delivery guys have made so many mistakes since the beginning it's not even funny - parcels were dropped off at the wrong address, called somebody else's telephone number and left the parcel with the wrong person; etc. Yesterday they dropped off my package, while the concierge was unavailable, with a label taped over my name and address. My concierge had to very carefully peeled it off to find out who the recipient was. I know delivery staff don't need high intelligence for their job, but this is definitely not acceptable from a human being. Tip for consumers:Watch out for delivery guys' mistakes. Products used:Many, many, many Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“You need to be careful”

When shopping on this website you really need to be careful. Vendors on this website will mark up a product readily available elsewhere by 50%-100% more in hopes of making a quick profit on the unsuspecting shopper. Most items come directly from Chinese factories and take months to arrive with incredibly difficult hoops to return the product should it be required to do so. There are things available at competitive prices, but you really must exercise your due diligence and compare prices of the item you're looking for else where. Amazon.ca is not to be trusted.

“Hopeless”

Sorry, I actually called Amazon to give a positive review for a Driver as I'm sure they get many negative. He went above and beyond by hiding my package behind the bench. First got the Amazon in the US that they put me through to Canada. We're neither one could find my account but honestly they have no trouble taking money out of my bank account. Hopelessness people.

“Thursday, 15 September - my usual complaint”

Delivery by Amazon. Thursday, 15 September - my usual complaint with idiot driver that is too simple minded to close and latch the gate opened by said driver to deliver. Amazon customer service is such a joke - complaint about delivery is not an option but it is the usual complaint... I don't know why Amazon delivery drivers seem to be the only ones that are so ignorant. If they REALLY wanted to help they would make it easier to contact them - instead they hope the circle jerk around will just make you quit and give-up. Every time I weaken and give Amazon another chance I get some good delivery drivers for a couple of orders and then inevitably the morons are back. Tip for consumers:No idea - I note it on every delivery to LOCK THE GATE WHEN THEY LEAVE - I DO NOT WANT MY DOG TO GET OUT AND GET HURT OR LOST.... Best idea is to shop local Products used:no complaints with the products or delivery time - it is the ignorant drivers that don't shut and latch the gate behind them... Seem to have enough sense to unlock the freaking thing.. guess that difficult task uses all their brain cells. Shipping

“Amazon deleted my review!”

The product was delivered late to me after around 2 weeks even after being a prime member where it said two day shipping. Amazon deleted my previous review. This image explains what Amazon had to say about the delivery. They intentionally made their customer service as useless as possible so that they put all the profits in their pocket and the customers suffer. This will be my last purchase from Amazon!

“Terrible approach to packaging”

Amazon loves dropping things on your doorstep at any random time in a rainstorm without notice. They will ship countless plastic item already wrapped in plastic, into another wasteful large plastic Amazon bubble wrap sleeve or envelope. Yet when sending an unwrapped paper products such as a paperback book, they will stuff it in an oversized brown Amazon paper envelope and toss it on your uncovered doorstep for everything to get completely destroyed in the rain without ringing the doorbell. Receiving a 'delivered' notice the next morning reveals the ruined item's arrival sometime the previous evening. I did an Amazon search for 'common sense' and they had none in stock! Products used:book Service Shipping Returns

“Not a care in the world”

I mean it's Amazon. They're good for some things but awful for others. If you have a heavy package it probably won't ever get to you, stuck at warehouses for weeks then nothing. All Amazon offers is wait, past due date, 2 day shipping is actually 2 week. No photos, I didn't get the item Tip for consumers:Don't expect tracking to ever be accurate Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Amazon sucks!”

So I made an order waited 2 weeks to get it which was a week and a half past its due date and it never came. I tried to contact seller but they had left Amazon so I could not contact them. When I look at the tracking on Amazon it says in big bold letters you package may be lost you can ask for a refund, I have a picture and everything yet Amazon writes back to say that they see its been delivered! So tell me anyone who can read that picture I posted do you see anywhere it says my package has been delivered? Tip for consumers:Make sure you keep proof of everything even tracking stuff in your pictures cause they like to try to rip you off!! Products used:Would give 0 stars.if I could Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Third-party fake items”

Although Amazon is more than happy to assist in purchases and usually refunds, it is very frustrating to invest time and money into a seller that is either not located in Canada or selling fake items. My most recent item, hair toner was actually used. That is simply disgusting. I wish Microsoft would create a company better than Amazon. Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Worst Customer Service”

Closed our account. Only to reopen it a year later. Nothing has improved with Amazon. Ordered a TV online somehow the courier got the wrong address. Amazon blames us, but yet we received another order placed on Amazon today using the same address we signed up for. Telecom was given an incorrect address. How is it our fault? Seriously going to cancel the account again once the membership expires. Tip for consumers:Skip signing up for Amazon. It is a complete waste of money. “Refunds are promised are not received many times”

I have made many hundreds of orders and I'm not impressed how I'm promised a refund and it isn't in my account or my credit card, no refund! Also get run around from sellers and amazon both are rude to top it off! Some products are complete junk and some knock offs.look for products in brick and mortar stores and cheaper too that way! Tip for consumers:Yes some refunds were not received as told on a few occasions by amazon and sellers..also they were rude and didn't wish to deal with my issues..I will always check brick and mortar stores plus better deals and real products not fake as dome products are with amazon even heard this from many that products are fake much of the time especially supplements and beauty products. I've also seen much better prices in stores than amazon. Products used:I've purchased mattresses, bed frame, foods, supplements, phone, many many items Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Awful!”

They didn't deliver items then it took 6 weeks, 3 (expensive) phone calls, and 8 chats on site to get a full refund. They kept blaming my bank but when I threatened legal action they sent it back! I am still £70 out of pocket because phone calls and they never respond when asking about complaints or compensation

“Usually good prices, quick and cheap shipping!”

I've never had any trouble with Amazon.ca, though I generally avoid everything that isn't sold through or fulfilled by Amazon itself. While the. Ca website is alright and getting better, there's a lot more to choose from on the. Com website

“They hire braindead idiots”

They often are extremely late and their customer service is so robotic they've lost my items bunch of times and even sent me things I never ordered by accident just use Walmart or best buy they're infinity better in comparison

“Greed has not limits.”

Careful about ordering items eligible for prime delivery. Not true. Ordered a bike May 23 and finally delivered June 18. After I complained, they promised a $50 refund on my card, but later it was changed to gift certificate. That's how Bezos became the riches man on the planet.

“Over 10 days without any answers”

I never been so disappointed, discouraged, and angry in all my years shopping at stores. It started 7 (and still going) days ago when we found out that my sons amazon account was locked/frozen after he purchased Christmas presents for his family with his hard earn money. I feel that we have been wasting our time on the phone just to get the run around as some employees like to brush off this issue off without giving any positive results.

“Northern Shipments - T/P Seller”

Do not buy anything from this supplier. Also, Amazon won't allow me to post a one star review of them. This feels conspiratorial - disallowing negative reviews. I'm not sure which company is worse; the failure or conspirator.

“Horrible website”

Ordered two ps plus cards and they cancelled my account making me reset my password, stuck in camp with no data but only wifi, have no wifi calling to accept texts for the 6 digit confirmation code. Why not have an actual person to chat too online instead of having 4 generic questions that do not assist anyone in this position.

“They had a couple of hard-to-find items at decent prices...”

They had a couple of hard-to-find items at decent prices and reasonably quick delivery. I really don't like being known by a string of gibberish that I finally used after dozens of laborious attempts to find an available version of my name. I'll be first in line to switch when there are ratings to find similar businesses who treat their workers like human beings, never mind the price.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below. button remove data online

Are You the Owner of amazon.ca?

If you own amazon.ca, we would love to hear from you. However, if you would like to challenge this review and trust score, we are more than willing to take a deeper look, but be prepared to offer solid proof of your business. Please introduce yourself first (your name, not "Admin"). Consumers are smart. Typically, they don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence. When domain owners contact us to challenge the trust score of their website on our website Validator, we would kindly ask them to share some of the following things: * Details from their ecosystem that would show that they are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, etc.). * Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook. * If possible, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested, etc.). We are more than willing to update the review right away—the more proof you show, the higher the trust score will be.
