Is alpkit.com Legit?

Got gifted (secret santa) pair of nice climbing trousers which unfortunately are to big. Alpkit returns are strict and even though they're unworn with Alpkit labels a receipt is apparently required to swap for a smaller size - shop assistant was helpful and gave me head office number and they reiterated this response. This stance seems at odds with their ambition to be seen as a b-corp ethical company and setting them apart from other high street stores. Up until this point was keen to buy more from them but now feels like it's lost its charm and certainly not as ethical as they claim to be. Hoping this review is read by management and they can reconsider the level of flexibility and autonomy given to their staff to give customers the level of experience you'd expect from a branded b-corp.

Voyager 90 bag wheel broken, noticed this only when used for the first time, I think it happened in transit. Anyway when I found it was too big for return by Royal Mail. Using the message system spoke with Ash who sorted out a collection within the next few days.

I purchased a Sonder Camino a couple of years ago, great bike and super helpful staff at the time. Over the last week the rear freehub snapped, so I called CS and they were amazing, the new part arrived in 2 days FOC over the Christmas period. The CS team were amazing, thanks for your help and support

Okay products, cool shops.However when I asked for an email receipt, I got signed up for marketing emails. NEVER ever did I consent to marketing emails. It's a pet hate of mine, please stop this. Every time I ask for an email receipt, I get singed back up to marketing.

Lesson learned… you get what you pay for..Hi Nik, From the email i recieved, i had been told that it was unlikely to be replaced ( battery), as it was Ash,s opinion that i had damaged it when re charging.The video i sent clearly shows the charging pin is intact, but the brass pin in the side of the battery falling out…I was then offered to send the whole unit back, in suggested packaging .. still assuming that the battery wont be replace, so i really don't see the point..

What a great company! It's rare that I feel I can trust bigger brands nowadays, but my recent experience has been nothing short of amazing. I got a great quality gravel bag for a decent price. But before that, I had issue with the courier and when I called customer service to explain the failed FedEx delivery, Ash from their support team immediately sent out another bag to arrive next day, refunded my postage, followed up over email and reassured me that the bag will fit my bike and that I'll love my adventures. He put me in a great mood! Just a 10/10 experience and not for a second did I feel taken for a ride (sorry for the pun!). Thanks Alpkit!

Having ordered lots of things from alpkit over the past few years the service that you get is always amazing, I had a .issue with an order this morning that was my fault and the team sorted it in minuets. Service is always prompt and friendly and make you feel genuinely like a valued customer. Well done alpkit!

Having been used to receiving great products promptly from Alpkit I was surprised when the wrong items arrived. However, after contacting the team I was soon in possession of the correct goods, with free postage provided to return the wrong order. All sorted in a friendly, professional and incredibly efficient way by Ash. A great company providing brilliant products and a reliable customer service team too.

Swift Refund!An unusual review as I didn’t end up buying from Alpkit due to stocking issues. However how responsive the customer care team were, informed me of restock date and offer of alternative products. Once I decided I’d like a refund it was back in my account within minutes!🙌🏻

Another great repair with matching customer service.I managed to get a hole in the flysheet of my tent. Alpkit came to the rescue - even doing additional research to work out the best way to patch it. Can't recommend them enough

I bought a Koulin cap online last night, realised that I'd ordered the wrong colour - doh! I contacted Customer Services. Brendan replied to my email just after 9am, sorted it all out and my order is on its way! Thanks, Alpkit! Great service!!

I ordered a Kelpie (Mens) Micro Fleece online, delivery was very quick and I am delighted with the product. It is warm and comfortable and. although it will mainly be worn on the hills, it is definitely smart enough to be worn casually anywhere.I had a problem when I order online trying to make use of my shareholder discount and Brendan, from the Customer Service Department was very efficient and helpful in resolving the problem.

I had a fault with my tent which was dealt with really quickly and efficiently. I was given lots of options and the customer service was excellent and very much appreciated. Thank you!

Absolutely love the Alpkit team, dropped into Keswick to test ride bikes they got in specially. Have a coffee, talk kit, get advice, buy ethical. Prices can be high but it is for quality not brand but also there are some baggable bargains to be had, still don’t know how they make a bivi that cheap?Soak your undies on a test ride and they are kind enough to discount your emergency purchase to save you going commando.You can even get kit fixed and not just their kit.

What a fantastic brand! The shops are an Aladdin's Cave of stuff for the outdoor types, but what sets Alpkit apart from the rest are the staff. Outstanding service across the board. I had a part missing from a stove and Brendan from the support team sorted a replacement in double-quick time. Thank you.

Order AK02209820Where is my order? I ordered this item on the 8th November. I placed the order over the phone and explicitly told the customer service rep that I needed this item ASAP, so I paid for express delivery. as of the 19th November, I have contacted Alpkit/Sonder 3 times, only to be told it will be despatched tomorrow. I expect better from a company that I have spent over £2500 with!

Excellent customer service. I lost the crucial nut for an alpkit bike light, not available on website, but a request by email was quickly responded to and the item sourced and posted. Great value products and love the marketing vibe/mewsletter
