agefotostock.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives agefotostock.com a medium trust score on the platform: 61.5. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Small Risk. Standard. Active.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this lower score? We came up with the 61.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to agefotostock.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Small Risk. Standard. Active. tags above. Long story short, please use caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning agefotostock.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between agefotostock.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of agefotostock.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of agefotostock.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. agefotostock.com is a somewhat safer website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether agefotostock.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether agefotostock.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, agefotostock.com.

The company is out of business now. As a contributor I didn't receive any payment in years. On top of that I could not find any way to remove my portfolio from their databases. Reaching out to the AGE Fotostock administration resulted only in a rude response without offering any solutions.Looking back I'd have to say joining the company as a contributor was a big mistake. AGE was certainly one of the worst scams in the industry.
The soul of Mr. Afonso should be rest in peace at this time, meanwhile lots of agefotostock' contributor want to know what would will happen at them payments. Last 8th February 2024, the company had use Alfonso' email (already passing) to to wrote: "For any accounts-related issues or reclamations, the designated administrator overseeing the closure of the company will reach out to provide guidance on the necessary procedures." Today, no one have receive any update by "designed administrator" yet. Either spanish or american press agecy doesn't tolk about this that have all aspect of bankruptcy. The press agency should be ashamed. For you that read this evaluetion as potential customer of agefotostock, attention please, the company no longer exists!
Alfonso Gutierrez passed away very recently. The Cepic published an obituary on 11 January 2024, which you can find on their website. Photo Archive News announced his passing a few days earlier. No news whatsoever on the Age Fotostock website.
AGE are apparantly in the hands of Administrators, having declared bankruptcy. Interestingly, this decision was the instruction of the now-dead Alfonso. Suspicious? One wonders why he wanted the company wrapped up on his death - where did the money AGE received from clients, which he didn't pass own to photographers, go?
I purchase stock photos from a number of sites. I particularly like the flexibility thatageofstock provides, either by subscription or on-demand purchases. For now I will stick with on-demand until I can check out your library and see if a subscription makes sense for me. I have so many other subscriptions already it's hard to keep track of them all.
Like many contributors here, I got a very poor experience with this stock agency. I have been chasing my final invoice for the past 2 years. Their delay tactic is to come up with different excuses and asking to keep sending an updated invoice and then months go by without any response. Followups result in no communication. Their payment system is antiquated. So finally my patience has run out and have started legal proceedings against them. They will be receiving a much bigger bill than if they had just paid the invoice.
The actual definition of this photograph is much less than what I expected.OK for printing 4 x 6 inches, but not A3!Update: But not an issue with the file, it comes probably from a poor original and poor scanning. (B&W photo dating from mid-1968.)Good support from agephoto on this issue.
Agefotostock are thieves who sell photographers images and keep all the money.I and other creators have unpaid invoices going back years that are left unpaid. They don't even respond to emails, nothing just silence. How these people sleep at night let alone stay in business is beyond me. It's theft, plain and simple...In reply to agefotostock's response to this review on 24/05/2023 I have resent the unpaid invoice from August 2022. I will report back if they pay or not.
I had an amazing experience with Age Fotostock! I had seen an image that I wanted to use for a very specific personal purpose, and Kevin, the rep at Age, worked with me and bent over backwards to make sure that I could get the image in the right format for my custom needs and did so in a very friendly and helpful way. I would love to work with them again and will definitely be recommending them.
GREAT, SPEEDY CUSTOMER SERVICE - WITH A DASH OF HUMOR. When I finally found the image I was searching for at Agephoto, I wished I had tried your website first. There it was - after untold hours searching other photo sources and avenues. My quick query to verify that this was indeed the photo I was looking for was answered within minutes by an excellent customer representative named Kevin Noel. Kevin was cheerful, informative, helpful, and even patient with my lack of technical expertise. Best of all, he also had a great sense of humor! My overall experience was one of the best I've had. Thanks for the 5-star service!
I was a contributor for almost 10 years. Apart from the poor sales figures, there are a lot of photographers whose commission invoices have not been paid, some of them for over a year and more. We will probably never see our money. Furthermore, pictures that have already been sold are not accounted for, critical inquiries are not answered or are dismissed with flimsy and cynical comments. Better stay away from this agent!
The breath and depth of the photo collection on this site is impressive. I am writing a book on little known topics in the West, and was able to find some very useful photos for my book. The cost estimate was also extremely reasonable compared to other photos sites. As for the service: it was superb. Raquel and Kevin handled the transaction quickly and with professionalism. Raquel, in particular, got back to me within minutes and even redid an invoice when I had made a mistake on the original. Reliable, professional and expert service. Highly recommend. Thank-you!
run away from this thief !! He never paid my commission for years and he still continue to keep my images without my permission on his f...ing webside. He supposed to call himself CEO but I suggest him to change it into TEO
I didnt understand the sizing so called the contact number - which was easy to find on the website. Kevin Noel helped me quickly and efficiently. The photo was downloaded and available for use within 30 seconds. I would definitely recommend this site.
AGE had the photo I wanted and the download was easy. I made unknowingly a mistake on my end and called to complain about the photo (which was fine but did not look fine because of my mistake). Kevin was very friendly and helpful and responsive, and I realized the mistake was on my end, but the interaction showed me that AGE has very responsive customer service. I highly recommend them. It's great to be able to buy just one photo.
Photographers stay far away! AgeFotostock has gone from bad to worse over the years!Sales have been going downhill for a long time, with commissions and sales rapidly declining. Some sales have approached pennies. Sales reporting is even worse, with many uses going unreported and unpaid for many months, if at all.To make matters worse, the management practices are absolutely horrible– The owner blames his bad business practices on photographers. He refuses to answer simple inquiries, and if you are 'lucky' enough to receive any reply it will be very likely entirely unhelpful and written in a rudely critical tone.
PLEASE CONSIDER USING AGENCIES THAT PAY DUE ROYALTIES TO THEIR CONTRIBUTORS.THANK YOU SO MUCH.AGE hasn't paid its photographers for months, doesn't answer our questions, and if it does, it's with disdain and total disrespect. If you buy images in this agency you are contributing to the fact that photographers do not receive a salary for their work.
I was an age contributing photographer for years. After several years of no sales I cancelled my contract and asked for my original slides to be returned to me (as specified in the contract). I repeatedly asked them to return my art to me. Silence. Do not do business with this company.Their response to my review only highlights why you shouldn’t do business with them.
As a photographer I think there is something strange about Agefotostock. It does not pay its collaborators or many of them. The CEO is offensive to the photographers when they demand payment of the invoices. He also says that his workers have left due to depression. He writes many strange things in his communications.Agefotostock communicates earnings to photographers once the company has received payment, never before. Therefore, our invoices have already been paid by image demanders.Unfortunately I think he is playing with our work and will close the business as soon as his pockets are full.Something smells rotten in Agefotostock.
Great selection of photosI looked at many sites and agefotostock was the only one that had any photos of what I needed and they actually had quite a few. I did contact some other outlets that had possible photos and they all wanted to charge at least twice as much.

“AGE Bankruptcy”

The incompetent and incredibly rude CEO Alfonso died in December 2023. He allegedly left an instruction to declare AGE bankrupt. Very suspicious. Where has the money received by AGE from clients gone, yet no commission paid to photographers? AGE never paid me a single Euro for images sold - they owe me around 2,000 Euros. Terrible agency. Alfonso's legacy is that he contributed greatly to destroying the reputation of Stock Photography, making it look like a sleazy, untrustworthy, business to avoid. Service Value Quality

“Terrible management practices – Won't pay photographers, company is likely insolvent”

Photographers stay far away! AgeFotostock has gone from bad to worse over the years! Sales have been going downhill for a long time, with commissions and sales rapidly declining. Some sales have approached pennies. Sales reporting is even worse, with many uses going unreported and unpaid for many months, if at all. To make matters worse, the management practices are absolutely horrible– The owner blames his bad business practices on photographers. He refuses to answer simple inquiries, and if you are 'lucky' enough to receive any reply it will be very likely entirely unhelpful and written in a rudely critical tone. Service Value Quality

“Please avoid these people. They sell photographers images and then refuse to pay them their share.”

I and many other photographers are owed money by agefotostock for unpaid invoices going back years that they refuse to pay. They don't respond to emails, these people are just ripping off creators. How they are allowed to stay in business is beyond me. If any of the other photographers who have had their royalties stolen by agefotostock want to start a group action, count me in. There is something very wrong with a company ripping off so many people and still continuing to be in business. Service Value Quality

“Worst of agencies”

Avoid at all cost. If negative rating was possible, I would give that. Agefotostock is not paying to contributors but keeps all the money. The manager Alfonso try very hard to be the most arrogant and rude person in the internet. And succeeds in it. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Dont pay photographers commissions...”

I have been a contributor for almost 10 years. Apart from the poor sales figures, there are a lot of photographers whose commission invoices have not been paid, some of them for over a year and more. Furthermore, pictures that have already been sold are not accounted for, critical inquiries are not answered or are dismissed with flimsy and cynical comments. The agency, or rather the owner, will surely close down soon. Tip for consumers:photographers better stay away from this agent! Service Value

“Arrogant CEO - The negative reviews are spot on!”

Alfonso Gutierez is an arrogant, nasty, rude man and obviously a misogynist. I don't think I have ever dealt with someone who was more unprofessional especially after doing something as a courtesy. Good luck to anyone who does business with this train wreck.

“Did not return my original slides”

I was an age contributor for years. After several years of no sales I cancelled my contract with them and asked for my images back. They are responsible for returning my original slides to me as specified in the contract. I have never received my originals. It has been years. Please do not do business with these people.

“In spite of their years in the business...”

... still they are one of the best agencies I know. Great web, great people and great commission split for today´s standards. Obviously they have a contract that is hard to overcome when they edit your images, add keywords, review Model and Property Releases and even correct technical glitches that "great" photographers make. It would be innocent to ask them to return the images with a three years signed agreement after all the work they put on my images. Go, age fotostock (www.agefotostock.com), go. You work great for me. Tip for consumers:Be a professional and not a dreamer if you want to work with this people Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Agefotostock doesn't pay photographers.”

Photographers haven't been paid for almost a year now. Worst agency in the business for photographers. Still waiting for 8 (eight) invoices to be paid. If you receive a reply from the CEO Alfonso Gutiérrez, the following is the level of communication you might expect: "Maybe you are mentally too old to understand that the world has changed so much that brick brains like you don´t have much space today. For the moment, you seem to be the one in trouble. You have tried to get paid by all possible means and failed. However, don´t worry, we will pay you when our "excuses" are finally resolved. Or maybe not, and I´ll decide to close shop and go fishing one day Have, again, a wonderful weekend, Pierre. Alfonso" Tip for consumers:Photographers, avoid this agency! Service

“Not a good deal for photographers”

Age Fotostock is not very good at selling photos so they consigned some of my photos for sale to another agency (where I already was a contributor). So I resigned from Age Fotostock. They clip their photographers and deduct 24 percent of the payment due, allegedly for taxes. I find that hard to believe, as I have been a contributor to numerous stock photo agencies, of various countries, and no other agency has withheld taxes from an independent contractor.

“Agefotostock is bankrupt and does not pay royalties”

Agefotostock is clearly bankrupt but for some reason keeps pretending not to be. As a photographer, if you were fool enough to upload your images to this site, the only thing you can do now is sit and watch Agefotostock keep selling your images and not pay you anything at all. They won't delete your images even if you ask them to, and if you write them and ask for your royalties, the only thing you will get is arrogant behaviour and insults from their owner. Photographers, do not upload anything to this site if you want to keep your sanity! Service Value Shipping Quality

“Good agency and company”

Good agency for stock photography, they select only the best of your pictures to share for their customers. You must have many good pictures for selling. You have to sign a contract and send it by letter to the agency in spain, but after all it easy, they give you an access to send your pictures with filezilla. You wait one week or a little more to have an answear to your selection, it is long but you are sure to share only the best results. It is a very old agency who work with many magazines. If you make commercial photography, you can earn a lot of money.

“Beautiful Timeless Stock Photography with A+ Customer Service!”

I love AgeFotoStock for the tiered pricing approach they have taken with stock photography, the ability to tailor your licensing to meet your needs, the broadest variety of photography from some of the best photographers in the world, covering a wide genre and era, with arguably the best customer service on the planet in the stock photography world. My Account Executive, Kevin, is at the top of the pyramid of customer service and has helped me through countless issues and ALWAYS follows up with me to ensure my needs are met. I use multiple stock photography services and I would say that perhaps Alamy is most similar to Age in terms of content and pricing, but Age wins hands down in customer service! Kevin among the best in the business!

“Age fotostock: It's in the name "age"”

Age fotostock: It's in the name "age" They are of another age They have practices of another age: the paper contract and letters to be sent by post to Spain! They belong to a bygone area: they love stamps Their website smells good like the 19th century. Etc. The godfather who mismanages this joint " Don Alfonso..." is also of naother time, that might explain a lot. And what about photographers? They'd better stay away from this joint.

“Agephotostock...UNRELIABLE COMPANY AND CEO”

Dear collegues, In order to advice other international collegues who intend to cooperate with this company, I would like to tell them my very bad experience with agephostostock and with their their arrogant CEO Alfonso Gutierrez: (here you will find many reviews published by collegues who had the same crucking experience) https://agephotostockwarn.altervista.org/agereviews3/ You can also read in the same blog site his emails refusing to send me my sales reports from 2020 upto august 2023 Best regards Angelo Calvino P.S. more than 4.000 images and Alfonso Gutierrez, as he has done with other photographers, refuses to cancel them from their website: https://www.agefotostock.com/age/en/stock-images-author/avn/angelo-calvino

“Non paiement droits d'auteurs”

Cette banque d'images dirigé par Mr Gutierez Alonso est de mauvaise fois et ne m'a pas rémunéré mes droits d'auteurs du a des ventes d'images dont j'ai confié mes droits. Au début ça marchait bien et encore on ne sait jamais vraiment ce qui a été vraiment vendu, je sais qu'il devait me payer encore une certaine somme ce qui n'a pas été fait alors que la banque d'images est fermé.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
