Students in China

How the scam works:

You are enjoying walking through the streets of Beijing and a young Chinese fellow approaches you for some reason. You are nice to him and chat back.

He will claim he is a student and before you know it will tell you about his amazing art exhibition across the street. He will ask if you want to see his paintings, without any obligations. You are still nice and accept, but once inside the ‘gallery’, you will be pressured shamelessly and somehow threatening into purchasing overpriced merchandise.

How to avoid:

Cut it short on the street. Tell him you don’t have time.
