Amazon Prime Membership Call

Amazon Prime Call Scam: How It Works

Amazon Prime has been making a killing in the last couple of years, having up to date over 200 million people accessing the site monthly. There is no surprise that scammers also want a piece of it - and that happens every other second. There are many well-known Amazon Prime scams out there, but the latest one refers to a phone call that you may receive these days.

It is an automated message that states your credit card has been charged for a new Prime membership. If you want to hear more, you are invited to press 1. When you do, a real person picks up the phone and starts inquiring about personal information - claiming to verify your account - that should never be given over the phone.

Alternatively, the scammer may say that there is a problem with your account, or that your membership needs to be renewed.
