Sex Extortion

How the scam works:

There is no secret that when they're out of the country working hard, sailors and soldiers are missing affectionate times from the opposite sex. Needless to say, they are the most vulnerable to the Sex Extortion (or 'Sextortion') scam. However, it could happen to anybody who is looking to find a soul mate. Most of the victims are being approached on social media, on sites like Facebook, Twitter, or even Instagram.

How to avoid:

Never let your guard to in front of people you meet online. Always meet in person and establish a relationship first.
