How To Find Any Phone Number: The Scam

(with video below) Let's say you are looking for the coordinates of a long-time lost friend or a potential business lead. You can't even find him/her on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. That's when you come across an online service that "finds" everybody's phone number for only $1! Not bad, you say, and buy in.

Little do you know that you will be silently charged, monthly, a much bigger amount. Once you catch them, they will justify the charges as a membership, saying you can access any other numbers, unlimited, anytime. By the time you have figured out where the charge comes from, you probably have lost tens of dollars, maybe hundreds.

A different variation of the scam is the Reverse Phone Number Find. Watch the video below to see exactly how the scam occurs:

How To Find Any Number Scam: How To Avoid

There are legitimate companies out there that provide great and trustworthy similar services. The trick is to be able to differentiate the good ones from the bad ones. Type in the Google Search tab the name of the service and add 'scam' after - see what happens.

Make sure you read the fine print and assure that there are no extra charges. Also, look for their information and reputation online (maybe look on Quora), which should give you a very good idea of the quality of their services.
