Immigration Application

How the scam works:

Many people fill out applications for US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on a regular basis.

Because the process is not that simple, bogus service providers on the internet help fill out the necessary forms and have the victims send them an electronic check in the amount of the application fee.

Needless to say, weeks after, immigrants receive notices from USCIS saying that their applications cannot be processed because the required fees have not been paid.

How to avoid:

Internet is a beautiful thing, but when it comes to immigration, you should never trust just anybody. Find out the official resources offered by the government, which should also be free. The official website for the United States is: www.uscis.gov.
