List with Clients, For Sale

How the scam works:

This is a scam that comes as a “Work at Home” ad you might encounter on the Internet. Similar to the Data Entry scam, this one lures you into believing that you can work from your home computer and make a significant amount of money per week.

After signing up for registration (for which there is a fee, of course) you pay between $30 and $150 to buy a list of 1,000 prospective clients who will give you work for a “data entry job”.

After paying, the scammers either never get back to you or, if they do, will provide you with a list of names harvested by other scammers and sold to them. The people on those lists have no interest in providing you with work.

How to avoid:

If you want to earn money doing data entry (and jobs do exist) do it through a reputable agency, not through an online advert. Always do your research and work only for legitimate employers. If you are really thinking of making money through online sources, below there are some recommandations. They are legitimate, operate ethically and professionally, and offer great remuneration. Feel free to register with them - there is no charge.
