Photo with Different Price

How the scam works:

This occurs when a vehicle is listed online with a written description giving one price, e.g. $12,000, while the photo attached has a different price written on it, e.g $8,500.

When asked about it, the crook will say the price is $8,500 explaining it was reduced for sympathy reasons, such as a recent death in the family. The victim pays thinking they got a great deal, but never receive the car.

How to avoid:

Buy only if you can go and pick it up in person. Paying up front thousands of dollars for something you can't try is something you should never do.
