It's so simple. While you are filling up and stand by the pump, a car pulls beside yours as they would get ready to put gas on the other side. If you are facing the other way, the criminals comes out of his car and sneaks into yours, stealing whatever goods you have in there. Needless to say, they target women, who most likely carry purses.

How to avoid:

It's even simpler. Always watch your vehicle, even when you are going into the shop to pay for the gas. Also, make sure you lock your car when you move inside. Better safe than sorry.
