Grand Theft Auto V Fake Scam Video

Crooks claiming to be the real Rockstar Games company copied the style of the game from its video base and released as a mobile app/game, available on Androids and iPhones (iOS).

The graphics are very believable and the game looks like it was developed by the official Rockstar Games team.

The number pad, characters, the GTA V logo look exactly the same and the tag line is: "Now available on all mobile devices". The crooks even released promotional videos from an account that includes the word "Rockstar" or "Demo", so the gaming community would believe the publishers are genuine. All it's done by the scammers to make you lose your account and money, by clicking on the links under their video.

Gimmicks used are key-phrases such as "GTA 5 - Android/iOS BETA Game. We are currently testing BETA version of the game for free download below. The game is available, will give to the first 1,000 registered. Activation code: ---. GTA mobile release date is on...[insert date]"

How to avoid:

Rockstar Games has not released a beta version of the game. If they had, there would have been media reports because it is so out of character for the close-to-the-vest nature of their business model. Secondly, it always pays to realize you rarely get something for nothing. It is best to keep in mind the old adage: “If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is”!
